  • We were lucky to explore Iceland's new volcano eruption on Reykjanes Peninsula at Fagradalsfjall in Geldingadalur just hours after it started. The lava flows were very impressive and this was one of the most impressive things I have ever seen!

    What a wonderful video. Its amazing to think that pretty much everywhere you walked that day is under 100ft of lava now. No human will ever rest on that spot on the hill where you were sitting ever again. Kinda cool

    You should not have an animal anywhere near here. You cannot tell how hot the ground is, and a dog can burn it’s pads so easily.

      Same reason they rarely get foot punctures - four feet. They can take pressure off immediately. Without shoes between their nerves and the ground, they will have it figured out long before the smell of melted rubber from your shoe tells you.

      I can't believe anyone is standing or sitting that close to that volcano we don't know what's going on under the ground you could blow the hell up just like Mount Saint Helen but people are hard-headed

      @@judyvaughn761 Mt St Helens had a massive eruption due to glacial ice. The real danger are the natural gases that form in low areas.

    Thanks for underscoring the fire with soothing music. It accented the beauty. Wonderful magma closeups. That was two days ago - by now, the left hand two have merged, and the little guy is spouting more than #1. It is also almost as tall. I expect them to merge tonight?

    I can't help but think that this is a little of what Hell will look like.. It will be dark with eternal fire and the sounds from the never ending screams from the lost and unsaved souls will be deafening..

    That was cool. So when you were close to the base of the chimney. I think you're on a hill which makes it look really really close. But how close were you actually. I was nice to hear it rumble, crackle. Thanks for the vid.

    The lava doesn't cause much fire as it advances because there's not much vegetation because of the cold climate and maybe it erupts regularly. But imagine a volcano erupting like this in a forest in warmer climes, maybe along with a strong breeze to push along any flames. This is to be appreciated because it's just a gentle firework display in comparison
