All my life I've been told to hunker down, hold onto my faith, watch the world get worse, and wait for the trumpet. I'd never heard anything like what I've heard here until a month or so ago, and it stirs something within me. After all, what's the use of having the whole armor of God if there's no fight to be had? Let's get ready to rumble!

@snailspace, Indeed. Since I was saved in my mid 20's I was told and believed the same for decades. Then in late 2018 in a matter of only several days, maybe two weeks tops, I had listened to Ken Gentry and Gary Demar and became PostMill that quick. Before that I had actually put eschatology on the back burner compared to most all other areas of my faith and it was the Lord I see in hindsight not letting me dig my heels in too far into PreMill/Dispensational positions. Things seem to fit much more now and the "problem" verses I had set on the back burner came to make sense. God bless you for your enthusiasm!

You haven’t heard this until a month ago, because it’s not biblical. You need to read your own Bible. Jesus does come at the last trumpet but you shouldn’t have believed the men who said to hunker down. The Whole New Testament tell you to occupy until Jesus comes by preaching the Gospel and applying the Bible to your life and teach it to other. DeMar, Wilson believe Jesus returned in 70 A.D. and Satan now is bound, and now we place the Law of Moses on the nations. Acts 15, Galatians refutes this. It’s your and my responsibility to be bereans and study this for more see GoodFightMinistries RUclips Joe Schimmel. Your life can be exciting if you follow Jesus God bless

No, it's misbegotten. The war is not to win the world. "I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours" John 17:9.
The war is to reach every child of God (John 11:52).
When THAT war is WON (concerning the Gentiles), then the rapture.
Then the wicked think they've won the earth. Probably the mark of the beast will carry some promise of 'science'-based immortality, and just as they think they stand on the cusp of escape from even death and judgment...those buboes appear on their bodies...(Rev 16:2)
"For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, _which they are not able to perform"_ Psalm 21:11.
Long story short, Jesus returns, destroys the antichrist, and kills the remainder who have damned themselves forever.
Then the children of God will shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. The meek inherit the earth. The poor have the kingdom of heaven on earth.
It's the Lord's total victory made apparent when the enemy thinks he's at last ascendant. Max effect that way.

Best comment.... another, “better country.” The Word, Properly used, instructors about the heavenly kingdom… Never an earthly one gained through worldly methods.
When Jesus said to take up a sword… PETER had already brought two to the last supper. SATAN requested permission to sift PETER like wheat. The wheat is Jesus’ character of laying his life down. The chaff Is the character of Barabbas... fighting to save it, which Peter demonstrates when being willing to die for Jesus and being proud of it above his brothers. THAT was his sifting (exposure/accusations) Satan told him that proud, angry, fight to save the life of Jesus (Satanic) was the real Peter... the chaff was the real Peter. It was not. Our Father corrected Peter and he got the message. He became like Jesus. Read I& II Peter with this in mind. “Better country”

I always find it interesting that so many Christians sit and discuss “the end” as if they have found some secret time table in the Scriptures. Pre, post and “aahhh” but my question is always the same. “What did Jesus say?” Considering the current state of the church, predetermination and the millennial reign rank 99 and 100 in the top ten things I’m willing to argue about.

Most Christian’s don’t share your postmil eschatology. They can account for things like the spread of wickedness until Christ comes back. Your wonder at these things begs the question. To the majority of born again believers who hold premil views, the prevalence of wickedness isn’t something that will defeat us, but is still necessary per God’s decree and plan.

It wasn’t the disciples belief in postmill eschatology that led them to transform the world it was their belief in the power of the gospel, or rather their belief in the power of God manifested in and through the gospel. Read Acts again. By the way, its possible to be an optimistic Amillenialist. The only real question is whether or not Revelation 20 teaches any millennialism and i dont think it does.

Well, discipling the nations doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone is going to believe and repent. Look at history, if we look at orthodox Christians in the Byzantine empire, the reason they might have decided just to lose is for the purpose of the idea sometimes you have to lose to win. we can look at them as the first protesters saying no to Catholic innovations such as the Filioque And Augustine’s interpretation of inherited guilt which led to doctrine such as purgatory and immaculate conception as an necessity.

I don't believe in pre-trib rapture, because upon studying the Scriptures for myself, I could not justify such a belief. Every teaching must be evaluated in light of scripture..like the Bereans of Acts 17:11 faithfully did. I just part ways with Doug over his vagueness, where the Bible is not only not at all vague..but our Lord, Himself gave details of conditions leading up to His return. He also said, "see, I have told you beforehand." I get alot from Doug's teachings in general..but I can't say that putting down those who see premillenialism in the pages of Scripture is a compelling argument, especially in light of Matthew 24 and 25. Is He not to be believed when He speaks?

  • @wayneosaur
    @wayneosaur 3 года назад +6

A premillennialists would say Jesus returns and sets up an earthly throne and "we" win on earth. The establishment of the Davidic throne is real. The fulfillment of the promise to Abraham is real. Christ Himself rules with a rod of iron. The nations are obedient. The earth will thrive.

I want to hear a real life solution to this problem. If it makes you miserable, tough. God's way is better. Please answer my questions, I truly want to know the answers and am not trying to be mean spirited in asking them. Me, sitting in a room, alone, adoring God, is more beautiful than sharing my life in a loving and self sacrificing way with another man? Furthermore, so many "ex gays" are silent on how they actually cope with the day to day challenges of lifelong celibacy if they aren't able to meet a woman they feel they can marry.
