I REALLY hope they implement a pet (or even a mount!) element into Palia! I am absolutely thrilled with this game and cannot wait for it's release. How awesome would it be to be able to get different types of dogs/cats/ other pets. Being able to have a big, loyal dog to adventure with or a fluffy cat to cuddle when I am relaxing at home would be the best thing ever!!

@@johnhimura1000 Great idea and YES that would be amazing! It would be really cool if professions could come from each thing. Like leatherworking/tailoring so you can make clothing items, blacksmithing for powerful tools, and mech engineering for fun vehicles and other trinkets! Love that idea.

I’ve been following Palia since it was first announced! I’m so excited about cross platform since I primarily play on my switch but do have a PC also! The game looks like it’s going to be beautiful and like they’ll always be something to do and just the fact that I can play with my friends that love this genre as well makes me so excited! Some of the devs were from the original WoW dev team also, which was one of my favorite games when I was younger. Can’t wait to watch you stream this game Sarah! ❤

​@pantyzoup hopefully not. P2w mechanics are a corporate decision rather than an individual developer decision so it doesn't necessarily mean there will be the same mechanics. OG wow didn't have any microtransactions and relied on its own internal economy. Sadly its become the norm to have p2w :(

I like to think because the nature of Palia, with the cozy casual sim mmo, that you can't REALLY P2W because you're not going up against other players or doing much PvE but only time will tell!

I love how the developers think that one doesn't need to "romance" someone to create a great connection. I LOVE this factor. I know many it is all about the dating. For me, it is to connect with each character at different levels. Higher levels doesn't have to mean romantic love!

I'm one of the lucky pre-alpha testers too, they have a really nice community and developer team. The graphics, mechanics and world of the game are very beautiful and relaxing. I'm excited for the release day.

I've been looking forward to this one since announcement. I had moved away from MMOs for a variety of reasons but my favorite aspect as always the social....being able to develop friends and play with them was always great. The idea of being able to do so in a cozy, non-combat focused environment is 1000% my thing. I've been lucky enough to get into alpha tests & am so excited that more people will be able to play very soon!

I was lucky enough to be in the pre-alpha and this makes me so nostalgic for the game and so excited for the beta. Palia's world is incredible and the community is one of the very nicest I have ever seen, even with a very large population in their discord (100K+). Waiting until those who have played alpha test can give more details (as well are under NDA) then you will know what that 25 number pertains too.
Again the 25 players number isn't just how many ppl can be on each server. Even us alpha testers have no clue how many have been on each server.

I can't wait until NDA is up so we can dish! This game is going to do so well. The fact that there's no PVP, you can park yourself in a beautiful, relaxing setting and go use the bathroom or get started on dinner - and your player is completely safe - is so amazing. I'm sad that the backpack outfit is probably going to be a pay item, Team Backpack folks are .

I have a feeling all the trolls and PvP players will flood the game at first and then get bored and leave, and leave the game to the cozy players it was meant for. You're right that it is a niche market, though, but I think that will keep the game peaceful and cooperative.

I love that we can hunt with responsibility here. Some people think that hunting is evil, but hunting is actually a sustainable way of living. There are those who eat roadkill, those who hunt some species because their population could endanger other animal's pppulation etc.
Anyway, I hope this won't become a pay to win game, although I doubt it would be one in the first place.

burn out is horrible but what happen to me is i was playing disney dreamlight valley so much and then i spent a burning in my switch and then i lost all my progress everything never bought a switch again maybe i'd have been better getting it on the pc but i was so far in..........starting over sucks unless i get another switch which i probably won't do because the hardware in them is fking slow.

I just found your channel through this video! Thank you so much for introducing me to this amazing looking game, it truly does seem full of promising features. I appreciate the lack of PVP so much, and find it interesting that the world will be affected by other players’ collecting and crafting. One thing I missed seeing in this video is rideable animals, I think that adds so much to a fantasy style open world game like this. Not sure how big the world is but having a faster creature of any sort to cover ground with when you’re on adventures or looking for ingredients or crafting materials would really be such a huge bonus. But I’m sure they’ve thought about this and made sure gameplay won’t feel slow or unachievable without this ability. It would still be fun tho 😁
It kinda reminded me a bit of the game in development Meetlight, I’m so excited to see more of these games pop up, it’s just up my alley!

There is a lot to this game, I have been lucky enough to be in the Alpha testing process of this game. Don't think this is for me, as I have played many MMOs and everyone of the F2P ones has gone back on their word of cosmetic only. Not to mention, this sounds like an always online game, meaning even if I want to play alone, which I do in these type of games, I will not be alone in reality.

they start with cosmetic only but that is where they get you really..then it will be lootboxes and diamonds in the blink of an eye or pay for more inventory people will call you cheap because you won't spend meanwhile they can't afford food to eat but have the best cosmetic in the game.

I started playing Homescapes on my phone because I like the "decorating" aspect of it, but of course it is a game where you get limited lives, limited coins, with micro transactions available to pay your way forward. I hope you will be able to earn or achieve decorations and furniture in Palia without having to buy it with micro transactions, that there will be a good variety and customization in the game, so that it just doesn't become too disappointing to see all the pretty things you can't buy, lol.

Tricky thing about these games is that it is not easy to motivate a lot of players if there is no combat. As much as I like casual themed community games, it tends to die off very quickly very often unless it has mass amount of content like the Sims. I get that they want to make this free to play, but makes me feel skeptical how they are gonna make profit unless they lock core gameplay behind paywall. There is a reason why somewhat casual themed games like this is so rare. Even stardew valley, Mabinogi, Valheim has combat and allows PvP in certain settings.
