- Metal: Hellsinger will take the stage at Gamescom on August 25th, in the largest live concert ever seen at the event. The concert starts at 7pm CEST/1pm EST/10am PST, watch it live here!
Several of the game’s vocalists-Matt Heafy, James Dorton, Mikael Stanne, Dennis Lyxzén, and Alissa White-Gluz will perform their songs from the original soundtrack.

This the best marketing I've ever seen for a video game by a lightyear
Wargaming did this years ago but not on that scale. Sabaton played twice at Gamescom (you can find those shows on youtube). Also the game Brütal Legend had real life metal-musicians in it. It has all been done before but not on that big scale.
@@DrumEagle I played brutal legend this year. I wanted to play it for years primarily cause it was jack blacks game. But then when I saw lemmy I'm it. I couldn't stop playing. Such an underrated game.
Metal gear Rising done a simular thing but the gig itself was terrible and hashed.
Well it was made by metalheads for metalheads.
Just finished it today- definitely worth it. Not very long but it has added challenges and difficulties, and “soon” they’ll be adding mod support for your own music. I’m excited to see where this game takes them!!
I was there live and regarding the crowd - most of us were in the venue since 9-10am and are on foot for almost 12 hours. All of us were super tired, but the people around me were having a good time even though they did not jump and scream the whole concert. Thanks for the experience Funcom! Definitely hyped for Metal: Hellsinger! 🤘
I can confirm, I was really tired and didn't plan to stay for the whole concert but it was so good that I had to stay.

I never judge a crowd anymore. Just because people aren't moving or freaking out doesn't mean they're not having an awesome time. I saw my favorite band ever a couple months ago. It's been sixteen years in the making and all I did was stand there against the stage with a big grin on my face while being blasted with "satanic" industrial metal lol. Probably not the normal place for big smiles, but I couldn't help it.
isn't that the same with festivals except a festival lasts longer. has more walking probably in heat and no sleep in a tent lol

I've been enough in prog metal concerts to not be phased by a crowd that doesn't move. People are there just staring at the band like they are in trance. Someone somewhere might attempt a small pit if there's a section in a song that really good for it, but mostly people don't move much. And then contrast that to regular metal concerts where crowds are insane (in a good way). I can appreciate both. The prog gigs aren't any worse because of the static crowd, it' just a different type of gig.

They just put the live feed from the band straight into the livestream without any additional production. This is what it actually does sound like at the venue. If you watch a live concert that you bought on blu-ray it will have had loads of post production mixing and mastering done to it to improve the quality. This is just a mono feed straight from the mixing console by the sounds of it and is as raw a sound as you'll get from a live show. The main performance was decent for what it is. The support band or whatever that was at the start wasn't great though (vocals were way too loud in parts and too muddy in others).
@@fahn3311 you can't judge the live sound from a live stream ffs! live sound is not mixed to work for a live stream.

Mikael Stanne’s performance is like a messenger from Hell itself, awe striking vocals, which perfectly get capped off by his polite lil “thank you” at the end 😂👏🏻👏🏻 the talent is unprecedented
Okay so imma need a Collector's Edition with this as a bonus dvd, the official game soundtrack and the SKULL THAT LIGHTS UP!! Aka the one Alissa is holding! 😍

Haven't heard Alissa live since i was actually at a concert of theirs in Heavy Montreal 2016. Gave me fucking goosebumps, and i look down and im wearing my pure fucking metal Arch Enemy shirt from that concert.

They would have had to increase security significantly if Serj had come. That would have blown the budget. 😅

Didnt even know there was a concert for this till now. Its a crime serj didnt perform no tomorrow but everyone else killed it.
If you ask me alissa and all the performers did a good job but the mix was trash though.

I've had a few months for this game and soundtrack to marinate in my head, and this truly has to be one of the best gaming soundtracks ever. Even relegating it to "a gaming soundtrack" is a disservice to it. This is just amazing music by a collection of super talented people. Oh, and the game is pretty good too!
when people chanting zugabe , they havent been to many concerts before. thanks for showing them again what (metal-)concerts are like and bringing it to the people in the hall, who are too lazy to go to the actual gamescom festival. hopefully it encourages them and maybe the girls after watching alissa perform to maybe learn an instrument or sing metal :P

That guy is burning himself out, my guess is metal hellsingers performance got a little bit short on his priority list, not a bad thing seeing the crowd is 99% introverted gamers that stand there like rooted.
I am not saying that Alissa White-Gluz is not The Unknown but I never saw them in one room.

Sound guy really fucked the mix up huh. The cymbals are non existant, guitar's are muted and the vocals are way too loud.
Matt heafy's stream was the best. Could actually hear the instruments.
And in the hall in front of the stage all i could hear were drums unless they were screaming straight at me so complete opposite. I had doubts the Mic was on.
It only changed for Matt&Alissa. Was good for Disconnected though.

Kinda sad that the sound from the stream is better than the live experience. You could understand nothing from the vocals (right side of the stage, in front of the VIP area), it all got drowned out by the instruments. Maybe a problem with the mix or because the speakers were placed in some weird way (I would guess the former). Visited many concert but this was the first one were I was dissapointed by the sound even in the first rows.
This dead crowd is a disrespect with these AMAZING musicians!

Being the skeptic I am, as long as you guys don't bog this game down with micro transactions and loot boxes for skins or new music or something, this game is an 11 out of 10. Doom + guitar hero + my favorite music genre!! Top it off with a voice over by the legendary Troy Baker?!?! I hope this game succeeds as much as it deserves to!!!
