Hi! This engine does not have glow plugs instead it's got a flame plug which is using fuel from that little tank and that tank is filled by the injectors return fuel line. From bottom of that tank goes a fuel line to the flame plug. This type of plug works with a thermic valve electrically heated and when opens releases the fuel and ignites in the intake manifold.

Thank you for this answer. I’m having a hard time starting my 550 after it’s been sitting all winter. Looking for advice. (It’s not getting diesel delivery to injectors)

Does your loader operate without the pto engaged? My 460 has to have the pto engaged, which is dangerous bc then my bush hog in spinning just to operate the loader. Is yours that way?

Yes, I just don't have any attachments on mine.

@rhynecars so your pto is not engaged, and your pto output shaft does not spin so that you can operate the up down loader? On mine, my pto has to be engaged, and the pto out put shaft spins. Sorry, I just got this tractor, and this seems super odd. That is how my loader operates

@@lowlifeclassic1311 The PTO must be engaged for the loader to operate. Mine is spinning the shaft when I am using the loader.

@rhynecars ok. That stinks! I was really hoping that I was doing something wrong. Hey, I appreciate you and your videos on the Long.
