Yes, I'm aware this is a terribly boring attempt at no-hitting Toriel. While it IS a no-hit (except at the end, but I'll get to that), I used the alternate way of ending the battle, which is to just... wait and dodge. This was ultimately the best strategy for no-hitting, since it minimizes attacks/turns (even though it takes longer) and also, you don't have to run around the room looking for the fight button. Kinda sad, since I didn't get to show off my rad dodging skills (😎) and my cool "button skip techniques". Also, that last part doesn't count towards the no-hit, so I didn't even bother. I know I got hit, but the secret scene gets unlocked regardless, because I dodged all the other attacks. This video was mainly for the secret at the end, after all! If you want a true no-hit, ask Merg or whatever.

By the way, using this technique, it took me only 20 attempts out of a total of... 120 (at least the ones I recorded)
Other techniques involved using the orange skip + spending 2 turns on tea and coffee (lowering Toriel's defense and increasing my speed) and then attacking, not using orange skip and attacking at the beginning until Chara intervenes (you skip a couple of extra attacks later on, assuming you're ok with the red mode attacks) and many others... But ultimately, with this method, you skip the most turns.

Congrats on a successful nohit! We know it's pretty challenging, especially if taken from the top. Using orange skip is perfectly valid and encouraged, tbh.

@@undertalejudgementdayandad3939 Flowey has absorbed the SOULs like he did in the Pacifist Reunion scene before he absorbed everyone. He did it preemptively because he got the okay from Toriel. Now he just needs to wait for Frisk and Papyrus to do their part, and then he can start his new plan.

Guys, remember: You still unlock the secret at 16:54 if you get hit in the orange part. I just had to no-hit the rest of the fight. This video was mainly for the secret at the end. Honestly, I could have just shown the secret, but I thought it'd be fun to also show how I got there legitimately. Ultimately, you really don't have to watch the rest of the video. I tried for about 7 hours doing this. However I did not know of this method. Would of saved me alot of time if I did. Good work! And this left me so hyped for whats in store later on.

That attack was never supposed to take that long, so there's no point. You are supposed to press the buttons to continue instead, but I never did that. I just waited because it gives a slightly different result.

Well, technically that's not the intended way to do the fight. It's just a secret technique of sorts that helped me with the no-hit. If you download the battle yourself, or watch the official video, you'll see that the progression is slightly different

Nope! No Photoshop Flowey fight in this AU. Flowey already knows that plan isn't gonna work, so his plans are different this time. Flowey *does* look different after absorbing the SOULs, however. He's just not gonna transform into Photoshop Flowey.

He will turn to Asriel eventually, yes. But not yet. This was only the first step to his plan. Now he needs to gather up all the monsters in the Underground and absorb their SOULs, and then he can fully transform. In that part of the video, he's just "imitating" his Asriel voice, just like he does in Undertale at the end of the True Lab.

Well, there certainly won't be an Omega Flowey battle. As for a regular Flowey battle... I don't think that's very likely. Chances are, he will mess a lot with Frisk during the final arc, but he probably won't be properly fought until he turns into Asriel. Only time will tell!

I don't take RUclips too seriously. It's mostly just a side thing I like to do whenever I wanna show something, like a project I'm working on (like the translations) or a cool game I found. And also, there's not much I want to upload right now. I would upload more IF battles, but I'm waiting for new ones to be released, since the older ones won't get much traction (and I've already played those outside of YT, so...)
I'm sorry to disappoint, but don't expect much consistency from this channel. I mostly upload whenever I feel like it, and the content may vary (my next gameplay video wouldn't even have anything to do with Undertale, but I ultimately scrapped that idea, because I wanted to play the game alone. And I don't wanna fall into the trap of playing games just for the views).

The orange button gets unlocked only if Papyrus tells you about it and then you die. It's not there from the beginning

@@Tomkad40 You have to last to a certain point in the battle first. Namely, use the blaster mode after Papyrus talks about it with either frost shovel or water spout. Make a hole in the battle box and try to escape, get forced back into red mode, and after that, he will tell you soon after.

How to start with Orange Button option?
You can unlock it in a previous attempt and then die, and after that it always it gives you the option to start with it.

No, you can avoid those, but getting hit there does not matter. You only have to dodge the attacks before that and the game still recognizes that as a no-hit and it unlocks the secret scene at the end. That's why I didn't bother dodging the orange part.

That is not how the fight normally is! I used a different approach than what was intended. Normally, you are supposed to press one of the buttons to progress, but I purposefully waited, because it unlocks a different path. Not to mention, I used a skip, too, so a lot of cool stuff is missing from this video. Ultimately, what you see here is very, VERY different from how the fight is normally experienced. You can check for yoursef by watching the official video or by downloading the battle (both links are in the description and the pinned comment).
Honestly, I feel kinda guilty for presenting the fight in such a boring way, but it was the only thing I could do to achieve a no-hit and unlock the secret at the end. I really hope this doesn't push people away from the AU, because it's a wonderful story and the battle itself is very creative (probably my favourite out of all the Inverted Fate battles). ...no, it isn't? TS!Underswap does NOT own the concept of changing roles while having characters keep personalities. And besides, the designs for the characters are WAY different here than in TS!Underswap, only six characters swap here while everybody swaps in TS!Underswap, and this is also a pseudo-sequel to Undertale while TS!Underswap isn't.
There's also a ton of other differences like Area Seasons not swapping in IF but I'm just not bothered to write all this for someone so ignorant.

The only thing they have in common is character swaps, and even then, Inverted Fate swaps only the Lost Souls from Asriel's fight. Besides that, they are way too different to be comparable.

why papyrus is not in Sans role?
He is in Sans' role. But this AU does not limit itself to just "roles". Even though, fundamentally, the characters are swapped, what their role in the story is depends on many factors, like their personality, their relationships, previous events, etc... Inverted Fate aims to tell a different story to Undertale, so don't expect the exact same "roles" and events.
