G'day mate, Quick question because I've seen you using the Acelepryn GR liquid..I'm having a real issue with Christmas Beetles/Curl Grub this year and last year. The problem is the larvae ruining the root system of my lawn. I've tried the granular but it really hasn't made a dent in them. Wondering if the liquid is any better/more potent? Treated the lawn after discovering the infestation last Feb. Treated again in September and again this month but doesn't seem to be working.
i am a 23 year old student in Pittsburgh, PA and man i click the video every time it pops up and i dont even have a lawn in the city. 3:30am studying and just had to give it a watch. great to see the ebook out congrats m8
Was panicking on Friday when there was no video! These are keeping me primed during the UK autumn & winter months and looking forward to spring 2024!!!
Keep up the work mate, I did a 2k sqft area and just hand weeded the whole thing with a screwdriver to get rid of those grassy weeds when I did my reno. Takes a while few hours maybe but it's worth it, way quicker than any weed killer. Like you mentioned they don't like regular mowing as well for some of them too so that will help.
As a fellow greenskeeper. This is amazing… I’m currently restoring a tiffy lawn an old landscape company didn’t do right with prep and install. Done the you beut on it. Nu turf have been amazing with everything to help out with our company. Would love to share some before and afters so far. Shoutout to @davidgolf for amazing equipment. A turf plugger (which I do not miss using) Always a pleasure Good stuff ben cheers mate Central coast
Hi cobber, if you haven't already, can you include what the chemical ingredients are doing in the herbicides, pre-emergent etc. I hear you waving fancy words around and I always wonder what it actually does. Cheers
Those bugs love you man, gotta spray for that too. Do you address that topic in the book? Mosquitos specifically. Would be a helpful bit of info. ALso knowing when your lawn needs a feed would be huge, to me..
Hey mate, congrats on the ebook! Any chance for an update on the fairways? Also I know you have a huge project underway atm but any chance of in the future perhaps out the back of your house you could do some tall fescue? I know a lot of American RUclipsrs do it but I would love to see it in aus, I have a small patch down one side of my house and it is some of the nicest grass I’ve seen, I know it’s not a short cut turf but I would love for some aus tall fescue content.
Hey mate love the channel, I've even bought a lawn care plan for my backyard. One question though: Where would I go to get help identifying what type of invasive grass I have in my Sir Grange Zoysia?
Looking good 👍. Do you have any suggestions on controlling worm castings. I know there good for the soil, but not good for a $6000 reel mower. Thoughts were to bring the ph down from 7 to around 6 with some sulphur, maybe burn them a touch and push the worms down deeper. I been hosing the casts in, but to the point now the lawns really wet. South east Queensland. ?
Hey mate, That would help for sure. Some ammonium sulphate would get you there. From past experience I found they don’t like nitrogen too much. I applied gran fert a few times when they were active and it knocked them pretty hard
@@LawnTipsiron sulphate for worms, ammonium will cause unwanted growth and if you’re getting worms you’re probably wet, iron sulphate does the same job treats any potential triggering fungal attacks as it doesn’t like acidic ph’s and nitrogen generally enhances fungal attacks, irons also good as a general hardener, and promotes those finer healthy grasses we want in there anyway as they prefer the lower ph spectrum 👍
Yo mate what up welcome to another lawn tip vid, thank you for bringing back the saying remember to say it next video😂😂 missed your video on a rainy Saturday back to Wednesday videos??🤔
Hey mate, downloaded the ebook, still to read it in full, but did notice the diagram of seed head in Kikuyu. It is giving me some serious grief, my kikuyu is looking better than it ever has, but the day after mowing it is riddled with the white snowy looking seed head. How can I possibly get rid of this? It makes the lawn look so messy.
What to do with mushies in your lawn? Pick them and fry in butter and serve on toast with a touch of salt and pepper. Makes a great meal after cutting the lawn. Yum, yum. It’s your lawn’s way of saying thank you for looking after it so well.
Looks soooo good mate. I like to mow against the grain on a regular basis. It helps keep the grass blades evenly cut. Have to pass a 2nd time to burn the stripes back in but enjoying the mow is what its all about 👍🏻💚🦸🏻♂

Hey mate
An orange local here
Been watching the channel for some tips to help me get my back lawn up to scratch
Cheers for the help and info 🤙
You should add a chapter in you e-book about how to install a irrigation system to your lawn
Just picked up the ebook! Looks great!
Thanks mate!
Good price for the book, I was expecting a lot more.

Great informative vid Ben. My Rye was looking a little worse than that last week. Put the granular fert on and bang its back.
Can you do a bin wash video
Favorite lawn tips background music at 9:32
One of my favs as well
Another great video mate!!! Just wondering when you said the lawn may burn if you put granular fert on a wet lawn? Why is this the case?
It sticks to the leaf as opposed to falling down through the canopy to the soil beneath ✌️

Central coast
How good is this looking!! Chuck a yellow flag stick, yellow flag and some azaleas and it could legit pass for Augusta!
Now that is some colour right there!!!!!!
awesome info thanks so much

Is the surround too large not too box off and collect clipping and seed head
You should invest in catchers for you triplex mover. Not for all the time just for times like this. You could almost bail hay it was so long.

We gotta do something about these flies for you haha
They are painful at the moment. Breeding like crazy with the weather
Love the videos. Do you ever like... Play golf on your green?

Put a chapter in the book "how to hit a hole in one on your own usga spec green" 😂
How do I get my Kikiyu low and tight, I just tilled and seeded about two months ago but it just wants to grow straight up.

Always wondered how long you keep your dogs off the lawn for after a granular feed?
Where do you suggest for soil test? Brisbane QLD

Edit its Tuesday...😂😂😂
Do you keep cutting when the temperature drop below 5°C?
If there is no frost on it yep!
What's with all the bugs today mate?
How come you didn't use Barricade on those weeds?
I felt it was just a little too early for the ryegrass
Hi Ben is Barricade safe to use on Perennial Rye?@@LawnTips
Is this book relevant to us in the States?
Sure is! I designed it to suit not just Australia. It does have metric measurements though sorry
THe only problem i have with mushrooms is theyre never the right type :P
Maaaaaaan you shouldve taken the length off with teh john deer first!

PGR or just get over it, it doesn’t look that bad 😅
PGR is definitely the way to get onto it. Need to use it regularly though to help really suppress them
@@LawnTips thanks mate, I’ll get into spraying some out over the next few days, appreciate it 🙏🏼
Thats funny, i associate mushrooms with tripping balls 🤔
Yeah wow
What happened to Schnitty?
I think he was up at the house sleeping haha.
Hi Ben I'm getting quite a bit of seed head and my santa Ana couch is a bit storky even after I cylinder mower. Will primo max help that?
Cheers
Hey mate, yep! It will for sure. You need to be using it regularly to really see the results though. It won’t be an instant fix
Schnitty! ❤
