I got a couple of those too! I figured it out that it comes from when you have a lot of loose short hair at the base, and you try to wrap it around the loc. When you try and interlock it and pull it in, it some how bunches as you pull it through and forms a knot! But I just leave it alone and as time goes by...I play with and pull on it until it comes all the way thru.

I had traditional locs first set was for 9.5 yrs , second set for 5.5 yrs… so I figured why not try sister locs I heard so many great things about the freedom of sister locs and how light in weight they are….. Lawd y’all all ain’t neva lied! I’m so happy to start my journey!

Honestly I loved my better when they were shorter as well! I Plan on trimming my sisterlocks in a little bit to help with the unevenness. And I have no suggestion for the knots. I have knots as well but I'm OK with the texture as long as they're not painful when my hair is being retied. And I'm learning to love my sisterlocks now that they're longer. In exporting new styles and accessories on them.
