*GOOD NEWS NERD HERD!* I spoke with the factory - that fire extinguisher's location has already been addressed and adjusted so it's not tripping you up. The manager for this brand is also receptive to the idea of finding ways to bring the TV down for TV Time and is looking at some options with their engineering department!!
@JoshtheRVNerd could you please start calling out the countertop materials throughout that are used in your future videos? I have a big aversion of any of them made with the particleboard counters with the thin membrane over them.
It's been a few months so this may be too late, but have they looked at the mantle mount for the tv? Also maybe suggest moving the microwave to the left to improve road mode. Not the stove though, not a good idea to stand in front of a door moving hot stuff around.
As an Imagine 23LDE owner, what I like about this Jayco floorplan is how they did the rear cabinets in the kitchen. Lots more counter space. This floorplan would also be good if you two needing to work remote from the road...One from the dinette and one from what call the entry way catch all counter.
Agreed! We owned a 23LDE and I like how they don’t have the box on the counter for the switches! I hated the lack of counter space! And I ended up hating the pass through bathroom. We recently upgraded to a Reflection 5th wheel.
I like this layout. We will probably do mostly campground camping so the closed slide is not an issue. However I prefer no dinette or table snd chairs. Would love if there could be a fireplace across from the loveseat. I know it is hard to get everything you want in a couples camper. 😊
this trailer is perfect! Between the wife and I, we haven’t seen any “cons”. All “pros” which is rare when it comes to camper shopping. One question tho, does this unit have a black tank rinse?
Great news about the fire extinguisher!!!! And for trying to get the TV to a more comfortable hight! On another note: We did see the cougar 25 MLE and is just perfect to full time but we would have to change the truck 😞… same thing for the 29 FKD you suggested… it always comes down to the truck! 🤪 is such a bummer!
The little desk reminds me of a nav station. I'd probably prefer to work at the dinette and use that knee space for shoes or dog bowls and the drawers for leashes, flashlights, totes, stuff you need going out the door.
I've been waiting to see a review of this floorplan for a month! Thanks so much! What i love about the Jayco over the Imagine is that there is no walk through bathroom, that was a deal breaker when we looked at the Imagine.
I grew up with "nintendo neck" - those kinds that sat on the floor looking up at the TV playing video games Now I have phone neck - craning my neck down to play video games on my phone lol
Given the rarity of anything resembling a desk, I'll take what they came up with! While not the most creative layout, this is quite adequate and the desk!
‘Propanus’ is almost all I need to hear to make the sale! 😂 But a single point ‘poop chute’ would be such an improvement. Nice unit (that’s what she said 🤭) I like all three areas to rest one’s posterior, little work desk, dinette with sturdy table and theater seating which is a must on my next purchase. Good pull weight too. Position of stove and sink is odd but not a deal breaker. This checks off a lot of boxes less the fancier upgrades which you sacrifice for a Feather. And since you’ve set the bar so high now, I want the 100” pull down projection tv! 😂 And let me thank you Uncle Josh for your tireless energy, HUMOR and great production quality on each and everyone of your videos. They are literally the highlight of some of my days, I may not always post but I always enjoy. Love from Bandit and Haji too! 😂
"almost" all you needed to hear LOL :) Speaking of 100" projection TVs.. did you see the one in that crazy wildwood home theater / patio / mid bunk / hauler ... thing?
Hey one thing I noticed on this unit others didn’t think about is folding steps at the bedroom. Excellent execution because if don’t want them out your fighting them in the bedroom…
Yeah I see different builders do it different ways. I see benefits in both. I used to think not putting the stable steps on both doors was cutting a corner but I'm starting to rethink that
Very thorough, as always, overview of a good couple's trailer. Regarding the TV, I'd put another storage cabinet where it is and hang the TV on the wall the backside of the medicine cabinet. I hate when TV's are situated so only two can actually watch, if you have visitors.
Thanks Josh. Take the swivel TV to the bedroom and put a mechanism in that will pull the TV down over the dinette. This just may be my RV. The weight is right, the colors are great for me. CPAP friendly, no bendy bed, no walk through bath, boardwalk and Park place theater seating. It's checking all the boxes Josh. Wonder what interest rates are these days?
I've seen that done in some models before. I like the idea but more and more as I get older I like simplicity. I'm not sure how keen I am on the idea of another motor I could avoid vs. just a simple swing-down TV Either way.. SOMETHING there would be nice
@@JoshtheRVNerd I can totally understand. I'm not a fan of regular Televators, aka crumb catchers, but I think that one from the ceiling is better than one from the countertop. :)
If this floorpan had been available last year, I would've held out for it. I have the 22rb, which s awesome, but I REALLY wanted a dining area AND comfy seats. It's tough to find both in models, without adding a lot of trailer length. I had to choose only one, so I went with dining (for the daughter who needs it) This gives you the best of both in a floorpan I really like. The bathroom looks to be roomy enough. I'd even wager a bet that had Jayco done a walk-through bathroom, I'd have like that one, too. I think Cougar does this type floorpan with the walk through?? and I remember REALLY liking how it looked. This Jayco is great though. Thanks Josh! 👍
Josh , you are hilarious. I would like to put in my 2 cents , maybe that is all it is worth. I love most of the trailer, but instead of the desk I would leave the drawers by the wall and put in a small bench with storage under to put shoes. My opinion that would be an awesome use of the space
It might not meet some weird plumbing code but I think if I purchased this trailer (which is currently my #1 pick), I would get my low-rider plumber pants on, cut a few pipes and extend that 2-headed sewer piping over a bit and combine it with the other one (after purchase of course). It doesn't look like it would be too hard to do.
We agree with you regarding a drop down TV bracket. The desk is interesting and I would put a chair for a home office. I need the back support of a chair over a storage tub. We like the walk around bathroom design. My first upgrade would be a better fan in the bathroom. Thanks for another good detailed review.
I think if there was more room there -- like if the desk's seating area wasn't blocking the door/part of the kitchen, then a nicer full time chair would be great. If I were a more solo camper, then I could see that being great as well since you wouldn't really be fighting for space
We ordered one of these from our local Jayco dealer here in GR (sorry). Nobody in Michigan had one. Next build schedule for this model will start in March. Hopefully we’ll take delivery before our annual “ice breaker/ test and tune” trip we always do in the early spring. The storage, closets and pantry along with a wide wardrobes next to the bed were major deal makers for the Mrs. “Happy wife, happy life”. The stabilizer jacks looks nice too. Watched a few videos on them. They seem “rock solid” 🙄 Hopefully the new drop down TV mount will be in our model. Although it’s no big deal if it isn’t as we rarely watch TV while camping. But if and when we do, that feature would be nice. Stay tuned on that one. Now I should probably focus on selling my old one. 😂
lol no apologies needed! I’m still happy you’re here 😊 Would it be out of line to ask you to drop me a quick review at g.page/r/CdPcitNVx2nDEAg/review by chance? That’ll cost you nothing and I’d sure appreciate it
Well my 23RK was built on 3/18. Dealer took possession on Thursday 3/22. We went and checked it out today pre dealer pdi. Seems pretty solid. Fit and finish seem good. Nothing jumped out at me. But I wanted to let you know that the fire extinguisher is still in the same place and they haven’t done anything to the tv mount as far as being able to pull it down. No big deal for me. Also the power towers in your video have the wireless charging symbol on them. The ones in my unit do not and the table for the dinette is totally different. Not the “saw horse” style. Neither of which is a big deal. Dealer hasn’t gone thru it yet but it was pretty clean. No wood or metal shaving could be seen. Over all it was pretty spotless. So far so good on Jayco’s end. Have a great weekend Josh! 🙌
I love the Heng's fans. They are easy to install and work great. That TV..... it has to come down a bit. I think "road mode" is fine since most stops are going to be sandwich breaks. You'll just have to find a place to park that you can open the slide for an overnight stop if needed.
I really like this! We have been looking at similar models, and I like the look of this. 1. I prefer the cabinet of the Imagine with the shoe garage over the desk in this model. 2. Jayco's cup holder tables are a nice feature! 3. The hallway bath is nice, but I don't mind the pass-through bath for added space🤔 4. The color scheme is aesthetically pleasing to me as opposed to the monotone interior of some competitors. 5. In my opinion, this trumps the Alpha Wolf floor plan, but I like the Imagine XLS 23 LDE and Transcend 240 ML (although the layout is a bit different). Thanks for sharing!
I’ve seen some tvs that drop down from the ceiling, so only blocks the window when you’re using. I’m less a tv user, preferring my tablet, so I wouldn’t even care if there wasn’t one in it. This is bigger than the one I lived in back in the day!
What plumming codes are preventing them from a single dump valve? Gray tabk capacity shows 61 gallons, but to get that, you have to combine the two. How are you to do this when they have 2 dump spots? This has been done for every and is done this way in our current jay flight. So what codes have changed? I think this is the only flaw to this travel trailer. However it is noce they they are right next to eachother. My first mod would be to combine the 2 myself.
I do not know specifics. I asked the product manager who asked his engineer who asked the guy who tracks coding. By the time it got back to me all I heard was "it wasn't up to code." That's all I know Seems dumb. But that's the answer I got.
We have an older 29 ft Starcraft with rear living, let me tell you, the DIFFERENCE it make in terms of making the RV feel more open and bright having windows on 3 sides at the back of the RV, our previous unit had a rear bath so the back wall was just a solid wall with a door, now with that big rear window and windows facing out both sides as well, man it feels big in there. Rear opposing slides makes a massive difference there too.
@@JoshtheRVNerd especially with the darker toned interiors, small/few windows + dark interior feels like a prison cell. That said too bright can lack a cozy feeling too, so I suppose theres a balance in there somewhere.
It is nice but love to "imagine" it. Lol. Love my imagine better. I do love where the propane hook up is so you don't have to climb under to hook it up
I would not like the stove and microwave close to the door. Lose both for travel but prefer that over cooking right in the way of traffic in and out of the camper. Love this floor plan. For the size of the camper they have absolutely nailed the storage!
What about a bigger tv above the left side of the dinette on a swivel base? Don’t like the fire extinguisher on the floor like that. Looks messy. That is an awesome spot for a litter box, love it. Yup door shades a must. I also wonder why they do not use white switches and outlets, would look so much nicer. Why no nigh-table drawer on left and right side of the bed? Really like this RV definitely a contender. Two headed sewer monster ugh.
Wow what a great floor plan! Overall length is very towable although with the park camping my wife and I do a shorter overall length would be my preference but I think I could be convinced, coerced, twist my arm a little bit.......
This may be the one! We were so in love with the RockStaff mini lites, but i really like the private BR & BA, plus that kitchen & storage! We'd definitely like a bunch of solar for boondocking. And what about a small cut out to the pass thru for a litter box enclosure? Or behind the fridge?🐈🐈⬛
Hi Josh, this looks like a very interesting floorplan. I looked at the specs for this model and it is stated that it can sleep up to 6 people but my assumption is that the dinette could likely only hold 2 younger children and likely not two adults. Would I be correct in assuming this or could it hold two average sized adults as well? I'm looking to downsize my Jayco 287bhs but still would like the option to sleep up to six adults so this could potentially work for us if the dinette is wide enough. Any thoughts?
I love it. And I don't mind the stove and microwave being blocked. I'd rather have access to the storage than the stove. That way I don't need to open the slide to load in groceries or whatever else.
This works very well for people like me who on occasion MUST forget the world and get on the computer immediately. The backdrop looks fine for a Zoom conference.
Yeah I kinda had a similar thought. When I'm out with my family and work says "hey man sorry to do this but we NEED you for a few minutes" I could make it work. Or if you had a younger grand-kid or something for a day/weekend it could be a sweet tablet/coloring book station
What is the plumbing code issue?! Is this specific to one state or the state it's manufactured in? Plenty of other trailers have everything coming out of one outlet.
I didn't fully understand as I'm not a code expert but it wasn't due to a single vs. dual outlet but rather due to something being plumbed out the back so something else couldn't link up to something else It seemed kinda stupid but.. I guess that's how it is?
It's a good design because I don't like to walk all the way across the rv to bathroom from the bedroom. Agree the TV needs a drop down swivel so can be used from desk as a monitor. If your a boondocker you needs it to come with 400 watt solar because adding after the fact is real pain!! Then rhe inverter needs to be inside so you can see it.
Agree that a TV drop-down arm would be better. Wonder if Jayco has improved the kitchen drawers(friends bought 2022 Jayco, bottom falls out of drawers in transit with utensils in them. Then their 12 volt fridge doesn't keep temp around 40degree standard, usually gets into 50s which is breeding ground for bacteria.
I've never seen a lot of historical drawer issues. I suspect based on the fact you mentioned it was 2022 there were some build issues there. It's painful to say but it's true - things weren't done as well many times during that phase They've improved since but there's still room for more improvement
josh. i found this exact one on bish website but i can’t figure out which location this one is at. can you tell me which location this unit is at. thanks
The one on our website is basically a sample listing for this model because it’s not yet in production. It can give you an idea of pricing, but these are not yet built and out there onto our locations. Our local teams can give you an idea when they’ll be available
#nerdherd for the win again, Josh. This Jayco is really nice. I am still partial to my Winne 2225RL just for the amount of road-mode access I have. But, the two doors on this would make road mode a bearable experience - especially for those quick overnights in a truckstop or rest area.
If you want to earn some brownie points with the misses, you could put a mirror on the under side of that flip up desk and make it a little makeup station
Our idea of perfect couples RV two quality comfortable swivel recliners, pullout table between recliners no booth, twin beds ,AMPLE storage ,ample electric and access ,walk thru bath with privacy doors on both sides…
These are BRAND new. This video is their first or second prototype. I'm not even sure they've gone into active production yet -- it's that new. So drop our team a note at www.bishs.com/contact-us and we'll get you first available dates
This isnt a new floorplan by Jayco. It is a rebirth of the Jay Feather 242, which ended its run after the 2013 model. I love this style floorplan, especially the hallway that bypasses the bathroom, and creates a true separation between living area and bedrm for privacy. A walkthru bathroom is a big turnoff to me. God made us all different, thankfully, or it would be a boring world!
Yeah it's a rework of the classic shorter RK model for sure Funny how that works For a while the "Eagle super lite 256RKS" was my favorite RV -- just a juiced up version of this
Hi Josh, I was wondering if I would sign the docs on this unit, have it arrive 4 months later, and during the shipping to your dealership it gets damaged, who pays for the damage? the warrantee does not cover it, its not "your" RV and my insurance would not cover it as I have "owned" it for over 30 days without putting it on my policy. so does that mean that not only making 3+ payments I would be making 4 insurance installments or paid in advance 6 or 12 month policy on an item not even in my possession, driven/towed by others ? What is Bish's stance on all this?
The answer here depends on who did the handling. If it arrives from the factory damaged, then the factory pays for it If the dealership has an in-house transport & it arrives damaged, then the dealership pays for it If a licensed professional shipper transports it for you, then they pay for it The party represented by the driver pays for delivery-based damaged Perhaps you're referencing something else. I'm trying to estimate but the inquiry is somewhat vauge and I may not have zeroed in properly
@@JoshtheRVNerd you got it. This means I wouldn't be expected to pay for the damage and or my insurance company with a bad mark on my policy (record) or worries about who's fault / court ect. I would just have to wait extra time on the repairs for the RV. Good to know Bish's has it covered. Thanks :)
@@andystewart1580 Bish's typically hires out third party licensed and bonded drivers. Could be an exceptional case here. Without being there to know all the details I really cannot offer specific guidance.
I like the bigger fridge with the glass front. I like the white cabinets in the bedroom. I would get a 50 amp one with 2nd air conditioner in the bedroom. The storage in both is amazing. The big pantry, the closets and cabinets in the bathroom, and the closet and drawers in the bedroom. Thanks
My size 14s would catch that thing JUST AS my long arms grabbed and unlatched that door handle, and I'd end up face planting outside. No thanks, not going to chance it, I pass.
Just curious about where the radio 📻 is located in the RV. My husband and I have watched the video several times in slow mode but were unable to catch where it is located. We are thinking that it is in one of the cabinets near the TV 📺.
I'll take this one over the Alpha Wolf or Imagine. It has the true 60x80 queen bed, adequate fresh water capacity and plenty of gray and black tank capacity. The bathroom has plenty of space for taking care of all your business. The desk would be useful and the ottoman would be perfect for relaxing my feet while sitting on the theater seating. The kitchen is nice sized and there is even room for a trash can. I'll be looking real hard at this one.
I love the desk and flex for liter box, not sure like it in kitchen but could work… think Id use the desk to put coffee maker and airfryer. Agree on tv thinking could even make it bigger if swivel’s dow and out. Love swivel tables, like table is free floating, wish micro was convection, finally wish came in a king
Needs the walkthrough bathroom. That bedroom and especially the bathroom are too cramped. We love the windows in the living areas but the bathroom is a killer
Almost a home run, Jasyco, except for the two-headed sewer dump. I don't get that. The weights/measures are fantastic for the size. The "desk" is perfect for a solo camper, even a "friendly" couple, but I'd use the ottoman somewheree else and add a chair, It's on the list, for sure! Thanks, Josh!
I've seen them do some updates on a few models & accomplishing a single sewer outlet. I'm not sure if this one got the treatment but it may be possible
Cat camper here. But the box in the kitchen....not sure I can do that. The kitchen counters are dreamy. Like the extras extra storage, Anderson's and leveling tools. The sewer...why?? Where is the tank flush port?
WHAT I LIKE: the desk especially with the pop up power tower (even if it is by the door because there is a second door ppl could use), the side bathroom (does the bathroom door go all the way to the top, i thought i saw a gap, would prefer a true door there if it's not), black out roller shades where they are allowed, large kitchen window, large awning, all the windows in the slide open i believe, having both a dinette and a couch, dedicated bedroom with a true queen bed, the storage that's partly in the bathroom and partly in the bedroom, the louvered vents in the ceiling, I noticed the larger fridge right away. WHAT I DON'T LIKE: the cushions in the dinette look like I made them, no fireplace, tv would be better if it dropped down, can i take the middle recliner section out and put it on the side to fill that space or just take it out as you mentioned, i would be kicking the fire extinguisher daily (its on the floor by the door and the kitchen cabinets), is tpms available, would like a laundry chute to the pass through storage below, the walls are composite i think you said, is the floor composite also
*GAP:* I think bath door has a little top-gap but I'd have to peek back thru. Operating from memory here. "The cushions in the dinette look like I made them" almost made me spit my drink btw lololol *FIREPLACE:* Love the idea but I'm just not sure where you could stuff one in this layout.. any ideas? *THEATER SEAT:* Each piece is individual but hooked together. You can re-arrange them or remove a section as desired. *TPMS:* It's optional but factory-available (or aftermarket)
The bath door does have a small gap at the top, not too bad. Yeah not much choice for a fireplace location other than get rid of the oven, go with a microwave/convection/air fryer combo up top and put the fireplace under the cook top. Might not be the ideal spot but pretty much the only spot. I would still rather have the fireplace though.@@JoshtheRVNerd
I really like this one. They put storage literally everywhere possible. I honestly thought I was the only one who despised walk through bathrooms, but this is proof of concept for me. I would swap the ottoman out for a desk chair. One of the best work from camp set ups ive seen in this class. Sharing the camper, others could use the bedroom door. I like the oven where it is. It allows me to access all the drawers without opening the slide, which I would do far more often. Personal preference, I would want to swap the dinette with a hide a bed. I despise these tv positions in every model that does this. In a statement almost everyone else will disagree with, I would rather keep the bedroom the same size and go down to a short queen to have more walkable space to get dressed and move around.
@@JoshtheRVNerd IMO, GD TT, especially XLS, are among the worst in terms of features. Jayco wins due to warranty, stable steps, XL fan, drop stabilizers, superior decor.
I was thinking that TV should drop down, even before you said it. You/we put pressure o get shades on doors, and they responded. Maybe drop down TVs should be our next crusade.
@@JoshtheRVNerd i watched your demo of the imagine. I own the 2019 whitehawk 23mrb. Have one family member that got royally screwed on a not so grand design 5th wheel that had non stop issues. Also have seen quite a few videos with bad reviews. In all fairness I just liked the lay out better acept for the fire extinguisher placement lol. Keep up the good work your video on my whitehawk was the most informative of all the videos I watched and was a big help in my decision 👍
This has to be one of my favorite travel trailers under 30 feet. I agree that the tv needs to swivel down. I have one question, is there space behind the wardrobe next to the bed for a cpap? It looks like there maybe be but not sure. Thanks Josh!
@@JoshtheRVNerd I looked at the 2025 model. They changed some things, and imo not for the better. No more wardrobe by the bed and no cabinet over the toilet. The did keep the neck straining tv where it was. 🥺
Hey Josh, just saw the perfect Jayco for us at the tampa RV show yesterday but it was a raining and I didn’t get to video it all. Can you please do a video on the new 2024 Jayco 21 MBH??
definitely a nerd, but serious 2 questions I have. What's the deal with the fire extinguisher on the floor & weight capacity on the ottoman seat at the desk? That workstation is the best think in that model . Josh honestly how do you feel about quality of some of the larger manufacturers, especially right after the pandemic. I saw some real problems on 2021-2022's.
I don't know that I've ever seen so many comments about fire extinguisher location! I'm not sure why they did that myself. I have videos talking about pandemic production. being 100% candid - it suffered. It's gotten better but still has room to improve.
My thoughts on this unit . 1st, the first time I walk around without shoes on I will break a toe because of where they put the fire extinguisher . 2nd why in the world would any modern trailer manufacturer NOT put factory shades in the door windows ??? That is so ridiculous , do it at the factory not as a after market " add on " that could take weeks to get !!!! All in all this seems like a great unit . I would also like if you can find the time could you show how the " new " support legs work ? Are the done one at a time with a power drill with a socket ? I have never own or used non power stabilizers so I'm curious on how they work . Great great video as always keep up the great work .
*DOOR SHADE:* I do agree on just putting the shade in the door. Thankfully that's an inexpensive item you can get within 2 days off something like Amazon. Again though - I do agree with you. _Just do it!_ *JACK SUPPORTS*: Yeah you can crank them manually or with a drill. They operate individually.
Thinking about road mode access, if the corridor to the bedroom were on the camp side rather than the slide side, the desk and dinette were tetrissed along to meet the kitchen benches, removing the rear entry door then sliding the bedroom door along to be a single entry in the corridor or further into the living area, would that work? I guess that’s just a different layout. There’s probably already things out there like that.
I’m ’imagine-ing’ my 22MLE gives us 1-door full travel access and the recliners to boot. It’s not as large as this Jayco, but @ 2 1/2 ft shorter and 700 lb lighter unladen it’s an easier tow, even for our Titan XD. My wife and I feel like we’re in luxo mode with the space in our 22MLE so no need for bigger.
Couples RV's always lack one thing...closet space! If they put the bed in a slide, they could add a chest of drawers on the opposite wall to the bed slide and eliminate the bedroom door, then put a full size closet in the nose! We have a 35' Flagstaff with this setup, but would love a 30' with a similar setup! This would fit the bill if it had this bedroom setup!
This model definitely gets an A+ for storage and while I'd prefer a walkthrough bathroom, not everyone agrees. A few things though: Is that fire extinguisher actually laying on the floor or is it mounted there? Observation: Having the fuse box in the bedroom is a really bad idea; they get noisy on hot days and it looks hard to get to. Also, I personally dislike stable steps as they just hoist dirt and water into your trailer, but why do they mix and match step types? Can you optionally get a folding step for the entrance instead?
This floorplan has so much potential👍but no table and chairs or sofa “option” for the “1960’s diner” booth dinette and Jayco’s signiature cheap plastic toilet and Dollar Store 4” fart fan in the bathroom was very disappointing😢
Run the loud fans and the AC so people can hear if it's loud
As an Imagine 23LDE owner, what I like about this Jayco floorplan is how they did the rear cabinets in the kitchen. Lots more counter space. This floorplan would also be good if you two needing to work remote from the road...One from the dinette and one from what call the entry way catch all counter.
Agreed! We owned a 23LDE and I like how they don’t have the box on the counter for the switches! I hated the lack of counter space! And I ended up hating the pass through bathroom. We recently upgraded to a Reflection 5th wheel.
This is awesome input and feedback. I love hearing from actual owners like this. TY so much!
I like this layout. We will probably do mostly campground camping so the closed slide is not an issue. However I prefer no dinette or table snd chairs. Would love if there could be a fireplace across from the loveseat. I know it is hard to get everything you want in a couples camper. 😊
The tv swinging allows it to be seen from the desk. Tv could also be used as an extra screen for a laptop via wireless connection
this trailer is perfect!
There’s always something
The little desk reminds me of a nav station. I'd probably prefer to work at the dinette and use that knee space for shoes or dog bowls and the drawers for leashes, flashlights, totes, stuff you need going out the door.
I've been waiting to see a review of this floorplan for a month! Thanks so much! What i love about the Jayco over the Imagine is that there is no walk through bathroom, that was a deal breaker when we looked at the Imagine.
You are so welcome! Sorry it took a while. I have SO MANY videos on file I created a sort of bottle neck
Thanks for the tour. I appreciate your knowledge, your sense of humor, and your candid honesty. 😉
I try! Thank you
So true, Josh. Higher up TV viewing can lead to neck issues.
I grew up with "nintendo neck" - those kinds that sat on the floor looking up at the TV playing video games
Now I have phone neck - craning my neck down to play video games on my phone lol
Yes! Drop down tv mechanism would be smart; and removable theater seat divider is super smart!
Home run, including Bish's price! Love the "desk" option (easy to swap a chair in) and the storeage is, overall, phenominal!
Ty!
Given the rarity of anything resembling a desk, I'll take what they came up with! While not the most creative layout, this is quite adequate and the desk!
lol that's fair
I love this RV!! Its love that desk feature for my husband. He works from home.
It's not BIG but it's "enough" to get thru a short session
And let me thank you Uncle Josh for your tireless energy, HUMOR and great production quality on each and everyone of your videos. They are literally the highlight of some of my days, I may not always post but I always enjoy.
Love from Bandit and Haji too! 😂
"almost" all you needed to hear LOL :)
Speaking of 100" projection TVs.. did you see the one in that crazy wildwood home theater / patio / mid bunk / hauler ... thing?
@@JoshtheRVNerd yes, it’s a bit over the top! 😂
Hey one thing I noticed on this unit others didn’t think about is folding steps at the bedroom. Excellent execution because if don’t want them out your fighting them in the bedroom…
Yeah I see different builders do it different ways. I see benefits in both. I used to think not putting the stable steps on both doors was cutting a corner but I'm starting to rethink that
Love the layout for us two,, window in hall is nice between windows and storage this one is great
Glad you like it :)
I love everything about this rv! So much storage in the kitchen, open feeling, desk area and i love the mirrors on the wardrobe door.
Thanks so much!
Very nice rig. And yes! - drop down TV bracket.
Awesome TY
I've been wanting a TV on a swing down bracket for years! They're always TOO HIGH! Thanks for that and the attention to RV cat needs! 😊
Keep sharing your input. Even if you've said it 100 times. The more times MFGs see it the harder it is for them to ignore
TV screams for a folding drop down mount. Nice RV.
I would agree. TY : )
Very thorough, as always, overview of a good couple's trailer.
Regarding the TV, I'd put another storage cabinet where it is and hang the TV on the wall the backside of the medicine cabinet. I hate when TV's are situated so only two can actually watch, if you have visitors.
Fair enough. Ty
Wow! Storage under the desktop and drawers!
Yeah it's a solid little setup I think
Excellent job Josh, would like to have fold-out couch into a bed for possibly taking grandchildren also
I believe that’s an available option
Wish they could use the same theater seating as the 23LDE. I like its wide separation and ability to lay on it with out turning it into a bed.
I do like those longer sofas for sure
Thanks Josh. Take the swivel TV to the bedroom and put a mechanism in that will pull the TV down over the dinette. This just may be my RV. The weight is right, the colors are great for me. CPAP friendly, no bendy bed, no walk through bath, boardwalk and Park place theater seating. It's checking all the boxes Josh. Wonder what interest rates are these days?
I’m not really in tune with going rates right now but our local teams could let you know
I LOVE THE DESK!!! It way better to set up radios on that than having to move them every time we need to eat!!!
I could see that! You do HAM radio stuff, right?
@@JoshtheRVNerd you know it!
For the drop down TV, how about a reverse Televator? Have all cabinets up top but a hidden TV that drops down from the back of them.
I've seen that done in some models before. I like the idea but more and more as I get older I like simplicity. I'm not sure how keen I am on the idea of another motor I could avoid vs. just a simple swing-down TV
Either way..
My pleasure!
The first thing I thought of and totally agree with you. The TV needs to drop down not swing left and right.
TY!
I've seen people at parks do just that
We agree with you regarding a drop down TV bracket.
They seem “rock solid” 🙄
Hopefully the new drop down TV mount will be in our model. Although it’s no big deal if it isn’t as we rarely watch TV while camping. But if and when we do, that feature would be nice. Stay tuned on that one.
Now I should probably focus on selling my old one. 😂
lol no apologies needed!
I’m still happy you’re here 😊
Would it be out of line to ask you to drop me a quick review at g.page/r/CdPcitNVx2nDEAg/review by chance? That’ll cost you nothing and I’d sure appreciate it
@@JoshtheRVNerdDone! 🙌
Personally would prefer the walk through bathroom.... imagine that😂
Love the idea of that front cubby area being desk like though. That's a winner
_Imagine_ that lol :)
It's our pleasure Josh,👍👍👍👍👍 you do amazing work 👍👍👍👍👍😊😊
Thank you so much 😀
@JoshtheRVNerd
You're very welcome Josh 👍🏻😊
Love the counter and stove area.
Thank you! I agree with erin - storage by the door is suuuuuuper handy
Most beautiful rv ...this one is definitely in my bucket list
Good choice!
Thanks ya big nerd! Because of you, I looked at some of these last weekend at the Columbus, Ohio RV show.
What'd you think?
@@JoshtheRVNerdI liked it!
I love the Heng's fans. They are easy to install and work great. That TV..... it has to come down a bit. I think "road mode" is fine since most stops are going to be sandwich breaks. You'll just have to find a place to park that you can open the slide for an overnight stop if needed.
TY for the Hengs feedback. I dont think I've ever spoken to anyone who WASNT happy with them
I really like this! We have been looking at similar models, and I like the look of this.
1. I prefer the cabinet of the Imagine with the shoe garage over the desk in this model.
2. Jayco's cup holder tables are a nice feature!
3. The hallway bath is nice, but I don't mind the pass-through bath for added space🤔
Love the competitive points Ty
I’ve seen some tvs that drop down from the ceiling, so only blocks the window when you’re using. I’m less a tv user, preferring my tablet, so I wouldn’t even care if there wasn’t one in it. This is bigger than the one I lived in back in the day!
Fair enough. Ty
By the time it got back to me all I heard was "it wasn't up to code."
That's all I know
Seems dumb.
Yeah I've been in plenty of small RVs with big windows that feel awesome and many large RVs lacking windows that feel confined
I do love where the propane hook up is so you don't have to climb under to hook it up
😆
I would not like the stove and microwave close to the door. Lose both for travel but prefer that over cooking right in the way of traffic in and out of the camper. Love this floor plan. For the size of the camper they have absolutely nailed the storage!
Thanks for sharing
Josh, another great informative video. You’re the best! Ron (“in Utah”)
Thx Ron :)
Fire extinguisher was adjusted thankfully!
My friend that's a construction worker RV. Love it!!!!!!!
Nice! TY
Wow what a great floor plan! Overall length is very towable although with the park camping my wife and I do a shorter overall length would be my preference but I think I could be convinced, coerced, twist my arm a little bit.......
just a LITTLE bit? :)
We're a cat camping family! 😂 They don't travel well, but their well traveled! A space for the box was one of our must haves.
Do you travel with them in the vehicle? I always thought inside an RV would be like THE scariest place for a cat ever
@@JoshtheRVNerd yes we have them in the cab of the truck in their kennels.
@@AKben1775 that's the only way I could imagine doing it. When i hear people transport their pets in the RV I just cringe
@@JoshtheRVNerd agreed! Not only is it a rolling earthquake, but the amount of co2 exposure can be bad for the littlest family members.
Sorry, but the power tower gets in the way. Those big deep awesome drawers in the pantry are YES!!!!
No need to be sorry. TY for sharing!!
I would respectfully disagree with their sleeps six nonsense
It’s two adults and maybe two kids if we are being real
I love this!!!
☺ TY for watching :)
Is composite lighter weight overall and is it more expensive than stick and tin. Opinion dollars for dollars which is better.
Yeah lighter but more expensive. I actually have a video here breaking down A vs B you may find beneficial: ruclips.net/video/R8BE2f8bd5o/видео.html
Nice Jayco Josh 👍👍👍👍👍😊😊
Ty for another visit Mr. Nick! :)
I love it. And I don't mind the stove and microwave being blocked. I'd rather have access to the storage than the stove. That way I don't need to open the slide to load in groceries or whatever else.
I agree myself
This works very well for people like me who on occasion MUST forget the world and get on the computer immediately. The backdrop looks fine for a Zoom conference.
That being said, I’d measure out an office chair to pop in there instead of that ottoman.
I didn't fully understand as I'm not a code expert but it wasn't due to a single vs. dual outlet but rather due to something being plumbed out the back so something else couldn't link up to something else
It seemed kinda stupid but..
I think they do offer a 400 solar package
Cant forget the kitties!! ❤❤❤
🐱
Agree that a TV drop-down arm would be better. Wonder if Jayco has improved the kitchen drawers(friends bought 2022 Jayco, bottom falls out of drawers in transit with utensils in them. Then their 12 volt fridge doesn't keep temp around 40degree standard, usually gets into 50s which is breeding ground for bacteria.
I've never seen a lot of historical drawer issues. I suspect based on the fact you mentioned it was 2022 there were some build issues there. It's painful to say but it's true - things weren't done as well many times during that phase
They've improved since but there's still room for more improvement
josh. i found this exact one on bish website but i can’t figure out which location this one is at. can you tell me which location this unit is at.
That 2225RL is a cool little rig!
Table looks like an ironing board for my size shirts. Lol. Definitely a unique setup.
Thx for the visit, Jeff
Very attractive wheels
If you want to earn some brownie points with the misses, you could put a mirror on the under side of that flip up desk and make it a little makeup station
That's actually kind of an old school thing I used to see in many RVs (especially FWs)
Jayco is tops on my list!
I cut my teeth on Jayco. They're always going to be a little special to me
At mark 3:14 you say the word 'construction' ...It was like a Peter Brady "Sha-na-na-na-NAa" moment. 😂
Wow 😆
Our idea of perfect couples RV two quality comfortable swivel recliners, pullout table between recliners no booth, twin beds ,AMPLE storage ,ample electric and access ,walk thru bath with privacy doors on both sides…
👍🏻
Do you have any of these in stock? I’d no, do you know when. I really want this unit. 😍
These are BRAND new. This video is their first or second prototype. I'm not even sure they've gone into active production yet -- it's that new.
So drop our team a note at www.bishs.com/contact-us and we'll get you first available dates
I will definitely do that. Thanks!
Yeah it's a rework of the classic shorter RK model for sure
Funny how that works
For a while the "Eagle super lite 256RKS" was my favorite RV -- just a juiced up version of this
Hi Josh, I was wondering if I would sign the docs on this unit, have it arrive 4 months later, and during the shipping to your dealership it gets damaged, who pays for the damage? the warrantee does not cover it, its not "your" RV and my insurance would not cover it as I have "owned" it for over 30 days without putting it on my policy. so does that mean that not only making 3+ payments I would be making 4 insurance installments or paid in advance 6 or 12 month policy on an item not even in my possession, driven/towed by others ? What is Bish's stance on all this?
The answer here depends on who did the handling.
If it arrives from the factory damaged, then the factory pays for it
If the dealership has an in-house transport & it arrives damaged, then the dealership pays for it
If a licensed professional shipper transports it for you, then they pay for it
The party represented by the driver pays for delivery-based damaged
Perhaps you're referencing something else.

Thanks
ah very cool. TY for letting me know @@GregPaulus-p6s
I seriously think the fire extinguisher is a trip hazard.
My size 14s would catch that thing JUST AS my long arms grabbed and unlatched that door handle, and I'd end up face planting outside.
No thanks, not going to chance it, I pass.
This was the first proto.. perhaps they'll move that
Just curious about where the radio 📻 is located in the RV.
Wow high marks! TY for taking a look
I love the desk and flex for liter box, not sure like it in kitchen but could work… think Id use the desk to put coffee maker and airfryer. Agree on tv thinking could even make it bigger if swivel’s dow and out. Love swivel tables, like table is free floating, wish micro was convection, finally wish came in a king
ooh.. I never thought about using that as an appliance station. That could work!
Needs the walkthrough bathroom. That bedroom and especially the bathroom are too cramped. We love the windows in the living areas but the bathroom is a killer
Here's a few with walk-thru baths:
• Imagine: ruclips.net/video/aj-VEKKC0Y4/видео.html
• Alpha Wolf: ruclips.net/video/NvAJWMlGNqQ/видео.html
Almost a home run, Jasyco, except for the two-headed sewer dump. I don't get that. The weights/measures are fantastic for the size. The "desk" is perfect for a solo camper, even a "friendly" couple, but I'd use the ottoman somewheree else and add a chair, It's on the list, for sure! Thanks, Josh!
I've seen them do some updates on a few models & accomplishing a single sewer outlet. I'm not sure if this one got the treatment but it may be possible
Cargo racks on top would be nice
Cat camper here. But the box in the kitchen....not sure I can do that.
The kitchen counters are dreamy.
Like the extras extra storage, Anderson's and leveling tools.
The sewer...why??
Where is the tank flush port?
Not sure exactly where the black flush hookup his but it has one
"The cushions in the dinette look like I made them" almost made me spit my drink btw lololol
*FIREPLACE:* Love the idea but I'm just not sure where you could stuff one in this layout..
From what I gather walk-thru baths are really a 50/50 feature. Some people love them. Some people hate them. There's very little middle ground
Another great video from Josh. 🎉 I'll take this over Grand Design.
TY for sharing! May I ask what puts this one over the top for you?
@@JoshtheRVNerd IMO, GD TT, especially XLS, are among the worst in terms of features. Jayco wins due to warranty, stable steps, XL fan, drop stabilizers, superior decor.

This has to be one of my favorite travel trailers under 30 feet. I agree that the tv needs to swivel down. I have one question, is there space behind the wardrobe next to the bed for a cpap? It looks like there maybe be but not sure. Thanks Josh!
yeah they started doing little "pockets" by the headboard a season or two ago

Hey Josh, just saw the perfect Jayco for us at the tampa RV show yesterday but it was a raining and I didn’t get to video it all. Can you please do a video on the new 2024 Jayco 21 MBH??
If they go up to 24 or 48 volts on the solar they can have more watts
definitely a nerd, but serious 2 questions I have.
@@JoshtheRVNerd which manufacturer would you stay away from even in 2024, especially for full timing it?
_Just do it!_
*JACK SUPPORTS*: Yeah you can crank them manually or with a drill. They operate individually.
Rookie question regarding two waste ports: would you T them together external to the RV? What are the downsides of doing that?
You totally can
Thinking about road mode access, if the corridor to the bedroom were on the camp side rather than the slide side, the desk and dinette were tetrissed along to meet the kitchen benches, removing the rear entry door then sliding the bedroom door along to be a single entry in the corridor or further into the living area, would that work? I guess that’s just a different layout. There’s probably already things out there like that.
I've seen other builders try that and once all the smoke clears it gets weirdly wonky
Maybe it's possible and nobody has just done it right yet?
I’m ’imagine-ing’ my 22MLE gives us 1-door full travel access and the recliners to boot. It’s not as large as this Jayco, but @ 2 1/2 ft shorter and 700 lb lighter unladen it’s an easier tow, even for our Titan XD. My wife and I feel like we’re in luxo mode with the space in our 22MLE so no need for bigger.
The MLE is a monster. I wouldn't turn my nose up at one for sure
Did you see rockwood's version of this one? ruclips.net/video/-n8XOwbAqC0/видео.html
It has all the required things, seems roomy enough. The desk is interesting, is it deep enough to keep a laptop in, with a mouse?
I think my laptop could fit yeah
This model definitely gets an A+ for storage and while I'd prefer a walkthrough bathroom, not everyone agrees. A few things though: Is that fire extinguisher actually laying on the floor or is it mounted there? Observation: Having the fuse box in the bedroom is a really bad idea; they get noisy on hot days and it looks hard to get to. Also, I personally dislike stable steps as they just hoist dirt and water into your trailer, but why do they mix and match step types? Can you optionally get a folding step for the entrance instead?
Fire extinguisher has since been moved. That was the original prototype location
This floorplan has so much potential👍but no table and chairs or sofa “option” for the “1960’s diner” booth dinette and Jayco’s signiature cheap plastic toilet and Dollar Store 4” fart fan in the bathroom was very disappointing😢
