How to add Emotions to your talk.
Almost every decision in life is made on an emotional level, whether supported with logic or not.
I'll take that again.
Almost every decision in life is taken on an emotional level, whether supported with logic or not.
Your phone goes bad for some reason. It falls down from a height, smashes, and it can't be fixed, so you need to buy a new one.
Now you're under pressure, you need a new phone. You get into the phone store, and the phone is available, but not in the color you like.
And guess what you do, you say, let me go elsewhere to find the phone in the color that I like.
What does the color of the phone have to do with the functionality of the phone?
Little or nothing!
BUT it makes you happy!
That color excites you!!
That's the color you like!!!
Emotions!!!
Logic is you are pressed, you need a phone now, Emotion is you need a phone in the color that makes you happy.
You get my drift?
You're about to get married to someone who is of a different ethnicity or better still, different religion, and family members say to you, how are you going to cope when you have children and they need to decide which religion to belong to?
And you say, when we get to that bridge, we'll cross it.
What are you doing, you're following your emotions. You say, oh, he makes me so happy. Oh, she makes me so happy. We'll figure out the logic later, but for now, let's thrive on the emotion.
Emotions are strong.
Emotions are what make us who we are as humans.
Emotions are us.
That is exactly why that sometimes you attend a presentation that is loaded with logical content, but because the emotional side the side that makes the conversation interesting is missing, guess what you say, boring, sleepy, tired, dull, even when the content is very important to you.
You would rather listen to someone who is interesting, because they have a way of tickling your emotions.
