Honestly, I was really hoping that the octarian octoling hairstyle would be available in Splatooon 3, but I didn't see it in the direct so I'm kind of sad. It looks really cool in game, which sort of makes me sadder. The hard work to make this is admirable
I'm pretty sure the rival octoling hairstyle is just the base octoling hairstyle, except the rival octolings are older than the player ones which makes it slightly bigger/longer.
@@justanocto and the clipping issues/ placement with most of the hats made this hairstyle impossible to look good

Ah yes, Splatoon 1 just how I remember it. Inkling boys and Octoling girls lived together in peace while Inkling girls were under Octavio's rule, Marie had long black hair and was energetic while Callie had short white hair and was chill.

What if Octarians won the Great Turf War and remained on the surface while Inklings lost and had to live underground? That would be a great AU
My idea for an idea like that would be like after the octarians won the great turf war, they would outcast dj octavio into the underground caves, where he would become the ruler of the inklings. Meanwhile, over time, the octarians would become more laid back, as they wouldn’t need to train as much because they’re in the surface, and the inklings had to adapt to the hardened lifestyle

Wow, I remember back when Splatoon got an update that gave octolings eyes behind their goggles and everyone thought they would become playable. I hope we get that hairstyle in Splatoon 3 at some point, the octolings still have 4 less styles than the inklings

okay , i think i'm gonna go into splatoon 3's first singleplayer campaign blind, i did it with splatoon 2 when i got it around christmas time a few years back.
If octolings were playable in splatoon, we wouldve had the enemy octoling hairstyle in splatoon 2
Fun Fact: there is a level in Splatoon 2 where you can skip 2 checkpoints, it's in a section of a level where you have to activate switches on a floating cube above a rising and falling rotating platform
Fun fact so if somebody replicates this they don’t feel bad when splatting octolings: octolings in both Splatoon 1 and 2 are being mind controled by the shades they are using and they were made by DJ Octavio, so take it as you were splatting them to take them out of the control of the shades :3
