Excellent! I’m definitely going to have a go at this. Much better chance than me trying to catch one of the blighters 😀

I loved your tutorial! We have a vacation home on the Blue River in Colorado called “The Trout House.” I’m always looking for fly fishing and trout themed art and thought I’d give it try myself. I just bought a set of Derwent “Inktense” water soluble pencils so my techniques will be a little different, but I learned a lot watching your video. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your instructive video which you make it easy for beginners to follow. It would be helpful if you can have the reference photo in one corner of the video so we can fully appreciate what you are achieving each step of the way. Once again thank you for your generosity in sharing your talent for free. God bless you.

    Hi 👋 there!
You are very pleasant to listen to and you’re not boring by any means at all.
I’m new to this so, everything was so helpful and you’re so patient doing this.
Appreciate you so much taking the time to help one’s out. A true artist you are !
    I have one question ?
    Thank you thank you 😊
What if I wanted to make the lip of the trout more defined, use more white or brown/ black tones?
    Keep up the awesomeness

It's amazing how something so simple can be so pretty! I'm a total beginner. It would be helpful to know which colors you are using each step of the way (specific color names) Thank you for an interesting video

This, and the companion drawing lesson video, provide an evening of great fun for the whole family! I hope you create more drawing/painting with watercolor content like this as it wonderfully accessible for both kids and adults and a great way to spend family time together! You are a fabulous teacher who makes learning fun and provides plenty of information to set your students up for success! Thank you! Do you have paid/subscription online watercolor classes for beginners elsewhere (Patreon?) as I couldn't find anything else from you here on RUclips?

This is a great video. I love your step by step instructions and tips for beginners, along with your calming voice. What brand of paint do you use in this video? I love the color options and the white plastic pallet. I can tell that yours is well-loved and well-used.

Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed the class. I use Winsor Newton mostly with a few random brand colors thrown in for fun.
