Big Indiana Jones Fan, hated 4 like everyone else, but I've always hated it when people use the phrase "rape my childhood." That's part of why I loved the episode because I saw it as a satire of fans who equate the trauma of rape with bad sequels. (What I really loved about it was that I knew there were a ton of fans out there who actually agreed with the episode 100 percent without irony.) It's funny to see here that there wasn't any irony to it.
Came here because I loved Breast Cancer Show Ever. It's one of my favourite episodes. I wish the fight went longer. You start to feel sorry for Cartman, but then he takes it too far. And you realize he needs to get his ass kicked coz he's not gonna stop. It's also pretty realistic how he just wants to be cool and that's all he cares about

There’s lots of things that are culturally iconic that I don’t particularly like or enjoy. We wouldn’t be able to have animated shows like we do today if it wasn’t for the work of Ralph Backshee…that said his work is godawful. But still, a pioneer!
I’m tired of people talking about the peak only lasting thru season 11! Let’s all be clear: season 12 is still the golden years. Tonsil Trouble + Breast Cancer Show Ever. Two absolutely definitive Cartman episodes! If the peak of South Park begins with Scott Tenorman Must Die (which I think is an undeniable fact), then you HAVE to include those two later episodes, because they benchmark Cartman’s development, positioning the character against his two biggest rivals. And they’re utterly hilarious. Me and my friend (local SP experts) both rank those two episodes in our Top Ten. No peak is complete without them! Season 12 represent 💯🙏👑
The still frame of Cartman getting clocked in 'Breast Cancer Show Ever' I believe is a reference to the boxing scene at the end of Snatch. In the show, they cut all sound and lock on that frame for emphasis, which signalled the end of the fight like Snatch did.

Funny story. My brother’s ex fiancé made money selling Guinea pig costumes online in the early to mid 2000’s while they were together. They broke up some time ago but I’ve been trying so hard to find out if she was the producer of those costumes. I just remember it being so cute and weird. My brother was 8 years older than me but periodically I’d visit him at their apartment and she had this whole sewing station set up (oh this was back in 2002). I thought it was so weird, as a highschooler.
Season 12 was a really solid season, though not quite up there with Season 10 and especially 11. Breast Cancer Show Ever is easily the show's best episode.

Episodes that stick out to me are Tonsil Trouble, Major Boobage, Super Fun Time, Overlogging, Canada On Strike, and Breast Cancer Show Ever. None of the other episodes are funny or enjoyable to me. It’s not really just the fact that it’s too mature, because South Park has always been mature, and I get the social satire. I know About Last Night is a satire, I just think it’s overly dragged out and not funny (my bad for calling it Obama Wins, that one is good actually) The show really did just drag shit out this season. Like The China Problem is super distasteful in a not funny way. What’s the message? Indiana Jones was ruined I get it, but showing him being raped is literally not funny. I’m not sensitive or anything, otherwise I wouldn’t be watching this show anyways, but it just wasn’t funny. Free Hat from literally 6 seasons ago just did it better. And Britney’s New Look is a really good social commentary but with little to no jokes. I watch South Park because it balances social commentary and comedy perfectly, much like the more recent Pandemic Special. This season though just either didn’t tell jokes, or reused the same jokes over and over. It’s one of the weakest seasons for me and not because it’s mature, it’s because I didn’t find it funny. It wasn't "they ruined Indiana" but rather taking the piss out of the fan backlash the film got. Even James Rolfe got the point. Compared to Season 10 & 11, 12 was a bit of a stumbling block, but eventually they made Season 13 which was incredible.
