- There are plenty of little ride on mowers available, this is the Hydro 80 made by Etesia. Today I give an overview of it and my thoughts on it after giving it a good test in all conditions.
Thanks for watching.
There's a specific mulching blade + mulching plug which are absolutely brilliant. Can't do super long/wet grass but saves so much time and effort against collecting
Glad it's working for you, I recon weekly dry cuts it would do well. Cheers 👍👍
Hi Nathan Nice one genuine review handy little ride on Have a good week thanks again
Thanks mate, yea it's handy for the right jobs👍 hope you're making the most of this sunny weekend 🍻
I have the same machine a little older, bought last year, it's a beast & the kwacker engine is so good on fuel for what it does & 17 Hp I drive a moutfield for someone & it will nock the spots of it.
These are quality for sure, I've seen some real old ones still doing the rounds. Thanks for watching 👍
Great review Nathan, I recon Etesia need to send
you Goodies for all the good vibes 👍
Thanks mate, great machine👌👌 maybe I'll get a hat🤣
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd or a keyring 😄
@@jameswyeth8223 🤣now you're pushing it
Great review mate. Lovely mower,it’s on my bucket list 🤞🏼
Cheers buddy, how's things going with you? Thanks for stopping by 👍
Very busy mate which is good👍🏼
Hopefully see you at Groundsfest for a 🍻
@HoopersGardenMaintenance definitely mate, I'm sure I owe you one👍🍻
Hydro 80,98X & a HondaPro,
Smashes it on our estate👍🏻✅️
Great to hear 👍How do my thoughts compare with yours on the 80?
Pretty much spot on👍🏻
I've recently changed the Hydro transmission belt & that's the first time in 8 years.
I can get half decent stripes also on the 80👍🏻
It's so nimble and gives the power when needed.
I do most of the estate now with the 98x but I'd never be without the 80.
Big ups Etesia 👍🏻✅️
@4tk-uc3rs sounds ideal, I've the 95 so imagine the 98x is a beast 👌👍
I'm still saving for either the pro46 or the 53. I've never used Etesia before but your videos using them and reviewing have convinced me. Although, I will probably wait until next season now.
I'm looking at the 53 as well but undecided yet. Will have to replace my 46s for next season so will just see how it goes. It's tough making decisions sometimes right 😅 demo the both and see what you think 👍 cheers
@@LewisgardenservicesLtdI'm using a £180 special from B&Q which to be fair has done me proud since
I started my business but as I take on more clients etc, I will need something a lot more professional and capable. Thank you again for your insights.
@aspectratiogardenservices nothing wrong with that, does the job. We all run different kit and it takes a few years to get the capital behind you to pay for some kit. Good luck with the business 👍👍
@@LewisgardenservicesLtdI'll buy your 46 off you if it still has the legs for another season and not destined for the lawnmower graveyard.
@@aspectratiogardenservices they generally become the sacrificial mowers for jobs nobody else or ants to risk th it mowers on 😅 usually some tidy looking on s on marketplace tho👍
Bang on thanks for that mate just wanted see if the deck cleared getting in n out easily makes it in out and the grass it can handle in the video is more than can be expected amazing have a great week cheers
Just for you that one bud 👍👍👍
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd thanks very much mate team Etesia ere and made me day always watching and like the videos even Wen not comment
Try the etesia high lift blade for the 80
Yea it's fitted 👍 cheers
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd I had the 80 for a short time then swapped it for the 100 that was great but no p steering so changed it for the 124 that in my opinion struggled cutting short grass without scalping so now I have the 100 4x4 diesel buffalo had to get high lift blades on them all awesome in many ways hills not spinning also hedges!!
@LukeRoberts-jt1tx sounds like you've gone through the range...they must love you😅👍
I did toy with buying one of these last winter but ended up with a Honda ride on … Also without name dropping I’ve since bought a Toro commercial walk behind mower… 3 gears and 2nd is quite a good pace … nothing to do with what you are saying but thought I’d put it out there so too speak…. 😀👍
Toro are on my radar...what model have you got? Cheers 👍
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd The walk behind Commercial proline .. they are around £1300 odd new . quite a good pace on them with the Kawasaki engine … again in the wet they block up but it’s been quite handy fitting through the average passageways and decent power …👍
I,ve got murray ride on but like you say,it needs a higher adjustment, when cutting long stuff, mine gets clogged, even when its dry.
Maybe we're asking too much of them by cutting the long stuff🤔 cheers 👍👍
where did you get the side shoot, I didn't think etesia did one tbh!!! Great machine tho, 100% agree on everything you say. great review.
think they're releasing a rear roller kit for it too!!!
Came with the machine but it's readily available from them I think. Good bit of kit tho 👍
I wish some of the pedestrian mowers would go a bit higher what with all the long wet grass we’ve been dealing with, so yo could top it and then give it a second pass and cut down on the strimming. 👍
I agree, I know there are limits on designs of wheels and decks but definitely would be handy 👍👍 cheers for watching
yes agreed for the money shouldve had a diff lock to many machines in that area without
Newer one have👍
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd alot of 2nd hand countax about looking at 4wd with collector about 8 grand but no hydro lift deck or ps but dont what like with wet grass alot of pulleys to grease and replace though
Nice review mate, handy little sized mower. I was looking at a used bahia the other day, you know if they are any good? Im guessing its of lesser spec than the hydro?
I think they're pretty much the same but like you say, lesser spec...just the engine maybe 🤔 they're meant to be good tho. Things all good with you mate? Thanks for stopping by 👍
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd Yeh all good, busy dealing with that life shit this year. Have a good week mate, its gona be a warm one by the looks of it.
at least your honest thank god !! ❤❤❤❤❤
I usually try to be👍 too dull to remember lies😅
why didn't you go for and Izeki just wondering
I wanted something I could sling into the van and get into the smaller areas, this easily does that. Have looked at the bigger Iseki mowers tho👍
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd ah cool
Great video mate. We all know your a tripod.
🤣 cheers...the wife would disagree 🤣
Hello how are you? It s a mono cylinder honda?
Hi. Good thanks, you? The engine..it's a Kawasaki 👍 thanks for watching 👍
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd kawa monocylinder? Thks
Hydro 80 is mower I’d go for. It’s ticks all my boxes. Sadly 2nd hand ones near me are overpriced dogs and a new one I can’t justify the price. I’ll keep looking ☹
Something will crop up for you I'm sure if if you need to travel for the right one. Cheers 👍
did you trade the alko in for the etesia or still got it
No, that's left on a site where it gets used weekly 👍👍 cheers for watching
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd yeah we did the same with a john deere 355 thety were a sweet machine for mowing ps hydro lift deck a blower for wet grass arond 8 to 9 grand
You need the 100 that way ud be fully set up for grass
Nearly picked a mint one up on the weekend but just don't need another mower🤔😅 cheers 👍
Hydro 100 still struggles in the wet and will clog instantly in long soaking wet grass. I think the only machine that can cope in those situations is the Amazone Profi Hopper. Problem with the Amazone is it needs quite a lot of maintenance and it lays defined stripes due to the flail cutting action. The work I do with the Hydro 100 wouldn't look right with stripes on it.
This is the information we need out there, info from actual users of machines 👌 thanks
Thats a bit like watching the Banana Splits. Na na na Na nah na nah.
Thier little buggies🤣🤣
My viewing this video is me supporting your channel. No interest in the review of this machine. 🙃
👍😅 thanks, letting it play in the background is perfect, cheers for the support
Good review nath I’ve got the same machine it’s a little beast o love it.. but like you say it’s got its limitations long grass that a bit wet well she blocks up 🫣 but it’s great I do love it so to be honest I mite be going for the high tip model next as the main shoot is in the middle and won’t block so there’s a thought mate.. 😊 love you videos I always keep an eye on your work your a good bloke nath respect 🫡…
Thanks for watching and the support, good to hear you have the same experience as me with the 80. The 100 I've heard is unstoppable in the wet👌 cheers 👍
