The most straight forward explanation with the best outcome. Some people just have too much to say, we all just want a good coffee in the morning not a cup of perfection for the gods.
Exactly!! I am so glad I found this video
Lol this made me laugh. “These are my dads beans and not yours, so go find your own”
😂😂😂 that’s how it sounded! I clicked off, but remembered to come check the comments!
lmfao
I just watched several ways to make this and yours was the most straight to the point and easy to follow. Thank you!!
So happy it was helpful! ✨
Totally agree
I do this filling two French presses up all the way following a very similar recipe, leave them for 24 hours, and pour them into half gallon mason jars to keep in my fridge. Definitely a game changer.
How long can it stay in the fridge after brewing before tasting bad?
I saw ads for an instant pot cold brew machine. Upon reviewing it, the reviewer said you could French press cold brew, which brought me here. Definitely gonna try it. Thanx
Good morning, Erica. I tried this last night, worked well. I need a bigger press though as it was too good. I like how you articulate your words and posture, upload more! Yt baking tutorials and what not bore me but you are punctual and neat. Weird you don't have more subs.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the cold brew! It's so easy to do in the French press. Aw, thank you for your kind words. ✨
Very nice. I wanted to make cold brew but don’t want to spend on another gadget. Thanks for the tutorial
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for making a simple and useful "How To" video. One question , After I mix everything together and put the lid on my French Press, do I leave it out on the the counter over night or do I place the Press in the fridge over night?
I leave it on the counter, but you could definitely put it in the fridge as well and let it go a few hours longer.
Thank you for this one. My past cold brew experience sucked. I am going to try it your way.
Superb video, comments and instructions. I would certainly put a little more water in so you could get more cups of cold brew coffee out of the French press. 😱☕
Thank you. May I add more water to the same coffee ratio you recommend in this video to lessen the caffeine content? Or do I use the same ratio of coffee to water and just let it steep for less time? Thank you for your time.
Wonderful video! I loved your comment regarding the source for coffee beans since I also roast my own beans for private use.😂
Awesome! Quick and concise! Thx!
thank you so much ive found this very helpful
“Leave it aside for 20 hours”
Me who is struggling from second to second, silently dies.
Cool video. I like making the whole French press. Is it a 1:5 ratio of water to grounds?
I watched this video yesterday and prepared it last night; I am having coffee right now, and this sh!t good
Granted, I don't know if it's because of the new coffee I got or because of the video, but I will be making this again .
Your French press is beautiful! Is it available online? Great video.
Yes! I have it linked in the description!
Would I need extra water before serving to dilute the coffee so it’s not too strong?
Thank you so much, cheers!
Do we leave the french press in the fridge while we wait 10 hours?
You can, but I leave it at room temperature. You may need to “brew” a bit longer in the fridge.
@@ButteredSideUp Danke! I tried it with the sitting it out room temp and then poured it over some ice and it taste great ^^
Thank you so much!
It would've been helpful to tell us whether to refrigerate the carafe or not.
Hello! May I check do we need to cover the mouth of the french press as coffee absorbs the air and moisture of its surroundings?
Other than putting the "lid" or plunger on top of the canister, no!
how we supposed to know how much grams of beans how much ml of water?
Where can I get that cup!!
Is that hot water or not? Thanks
I’m interested in buying a French press and the only ones sold nearby my place are Bodum - do you find issues with grinds / sludge in your cups using yours?
I don't find a huge problem with that! I don't really notice grinds, there's maybe a little bit of sludge at the bottom of my cup. It's not a big deal for me, but you could always strain the coffee through cheesecloth or a coffee filter if that's an issue!

I'm a room temp brewer. I use an espresso cup for measure and shake cinnamon in it. I fill it half way and let it soak for a couple of ours and stir it with a plastic slotted spoon. then fill it to the top of the metal band. Then the brewing continues. I press then pour it into another empty press with the filter going up.
Thanks!
You're welcome!
I am early!!! And yes I love my cold brew! ♥
Can I put it in the refrigerator as well for 12 hours ?
I've had good luck pre-chilling it that way.
You can leave it out at room temperature which probably gives it more flavor or you can put it in the fridge. Either way works fine. 😱☕
Where did you find the small 'over-the-glass' filter?
Amazon! amzn.to/3ADGYq5 (affiliate link). It's actually bigger than it looks (4 inches) because I placed it over a Weck jar which is a little wider. You can find 3" ones on Amazon as well...
Do people leave it out ? If you are making ice coffee you can probably fridge it?
Leave it out for brewing and then put it in the fridge is what a lot of people do.
@@jeffj318I guess for a day it doesn’t matter about bacteria, how long to brew vs fridge no hard rules i suppose
28.35 gms coffee
1 cup water
Stir
Helpful but I'm so Confused why you only made 1oz lmao
Thanks I'm going to assume that this can also be used if one heats the coffee . I'm trying to make the coffee the night
before and then just either reheat it in the Microwave or just use a stainless steel pot. Any ideas on making a coffee syrup. Ron
Is there a particular flavor of syrup you’re looking for?
what would be the measurement of water in grams/oz?
That should be 8 ounces of water or 227 grams. Or if you're weighing the water, it will probably be more like 8.35 ounces or 236 grams.
@@ButteredSideUp thank you so much!!
Straightforward however, why do a quarter of the french press?? 🤔
this a cute little snow bunny
Mamasita ❤
Thanks for getting back to me, actually I just want to make a coffee syrup without sugar. I would love to get up in the morning and a bit of coffee syrup to a mug of boiling water, add some whole ( organic ) and go out and feed Bucky my miniature donkey and Jack our goat.. Any info would really help.. Thanks Ron..
Were you thinking of a sugar alternative (like stevia), or just a natural sugar? I have a vanilla syrup recipe where you can easily substitute maple sugar or sucanat: ruclips.net/video/IgpCh9XdKD0/видео.html
@@ButteredSideUp We have organic sugar, the vanilla syrup sounds great thanks
