Joe is such a chameleon. I love how he tunes himself in to the frequency of the people he interviews. His voice seems deeper, slower and more centered talking to Maynard. Love it!
I feel like Maynard brings that out of people because of how he always remains centred.

He’s literally down to earth
I've seen this podcast before. Every time I go back, something introspective happens where I find a deep sense of understanding. I tune out to what they are actually saying and find reflection in my life. Rogan and Maynard's conversations kill politics and I'm so fucking thirsty for that. So many people are in a desert of extremism and can't sit back and enjoy a glass of wine coupled with meaningful conversation. Such a breath of fresh air when these two collide.

So much respect. 9:00 I used to practice Aikido, so I am loving the BJJ discussion in the beginning. I also used to train at random dojos when I traveled. It really opens your mind and adds that cross pollination of training that makes everyone better. Can't wait to see where this conversation goes.😊

I trained briefly in aikijutsu, a sister school to aikido, and the concepts of harmonized energy, intent of every motion, i use it in the way I move at work, the way I close doors, the way I get in my car, etc. Efficiency of movement

Maynard doesn't like the spotlight, so is quite introverted and has probably seen too much bad stuff in the music industry. If you look at his lyrics, he's got a brilliant mind, just shy.

The one thing that I always think of when it comes to MMA is is that if they would have actually stuck with the traditional styles of martial arts all coming together to fight. But kept the ground game out of it where everyone was on their feet like in boxing. It would have been more like that movie Bloodsport and would have been a lot more fun and interesting. Did the jujitsu kind of ruined it all in a way. It's cool for what it is but it kind of ruined what could have been a really interesting fighting arena
