Really enjoyed watching a few of your videos tonight, very informative. I've bought and sold working appliances in the past and fixed simple things, but im thinking of doing more fixing, like you do.
It's a shame about the rust on the front, if it wasn't for that I'd say fix, people hate cosmetic faults. Definitely put on it ebay spare/repairs, or even take the sellable parts off and scrap the main bulk.

I’m not a big fan of selling bits. You end up with a lot of bits and not much money. Only some of the bits are valuable but they always sell first!

Owen, just picked up an SB1700 inverter, faulty but has a good DC input board and DC disconnect. So if your SB works here the missing bit, cheers

What a shame that the original owners didn't clean it at all!.
No wonder the element gave up the ghost.
A good friend asked if i would look at his dryer, it was badged indesit if you believe that lol.
The plastic pulley pushing on the belt just fell apart, Rest in pieces lol.
The new pulley/bracket cost 7 quid, and after i dug out all the tons of dust/fibers/crud from everywhere including the element assembly, it was happy as a dog with two trees :-D
    Sorry bootsowen long woffle.
Oh, i have an identical dryer, just a different name.

I think it came from a rented house, and people are what they are.

@@bootsowen They have no ability to repair things like you do, so they dump it.
Handy for you to salvage parts from, and if it's a mess then the metal case will go to your pile of metal.
I dont suppose you would get much for the really thin case metal.
The very old machines (service 1000) were built like a tank.
Ahh sad those days are gone
