sir, can we cut jirri on the ceiling for MIVAN constructed flat (for the use of placing lights). I don't want to go with false ceiling.
You CANNOT undertake any form of structural changes/alterations/renovations, no matter how insignificant it may appear AND neither will the Housing Society permit it. All opening dimensions in the Walls are predesigned and casting is done thereafter accordingly. MIVAN construction benefits the BUILDER in terms of time, money and labour and not the Customer. You will have to accept the Floor plans as given to you. I am not sure if permission would be accorded for even exposed Electrical conduiting. However, if permitted I would recommend a partial false ceiling covering the light fittings because how would you fit the Downlighters to look contemporary to design.
