I badly need a new delay pedal for longer delay times and I'm kinda tempted to get this thing, though a bit turned off it's double the price of the prophet digital delay they offer. It's at a tough price point because for the same price I could get a used Boss DD7.
Does the newer Gauss still have a volume when the pedal is engaged? It's the only thing I don't like about mine. Other than that, the Gauss is an amazing sounding pedal.
The Prophet delay sounds really nice of you just need a simple digital delay. The Gauss is a slight different beast. It's an obscene warbling disaster and I love it! Sounds nice for shredding leads too. I don't know about the newer Gauss delays but the older ones have a slight volume so when engaged. You can get around this if you use a loop switcher with a preamp or volume booster pedal to match the disengaged volume. I also recommend the TC Flashback 2 if you're looking for a m delay like A DD7.

The DD7 is a very good pedal but quite different from the Gauss: this one offer more saturation and warm repeats!
