masked creeper Don't worry. There's a function in the game called trapping. When the monsters low on health, you can catch it in a trap and put it to sleep. It then gets released afterward. You can just do what I do. Unless the monster is wreaking havoc on the local ecosystem(Rajang,Devilhjo,Gore and Shagaru Magala) or infected with the Black Blight/Frenzy Virus(A disease which drives monsters insane and causes them to be in so much pain that they look for hunters to end their suffering), I just capture the monster instead.
+Darkrai the Dreamkeeper : Actually capturing them is even worse than killing them in most cases : 1- being released in some different place for ecologic/ecosystem reasons. 2- becoming a pet 3- being put to death and the dissected. (need of a fresh body) 4- The Arena 5- Vivisection. (for study of a living organism, like nerves for example) I wrote the possibilities from the best to the worst.
A fact to keep us a bit happy: The guild is there to regulate hunting activities, we primarily hunt when the monster threatens the surrounding wildlife. So we probably witnessed poaching.
Also in previous MH games there are descriptions ( i haven't played MHW so i don't know if there are descriptions for quests there too ) but most of the times clients just want whatever item a Monster has. Like that one from MHGU where a client wants Khezu hide and the Khezu didn't even do anything wrong.

Think Narga equipment's any good? Uh, I mean, "that poor thing!" and stuff. Look, I've had my butt kicked too many times by these things to let the heartbreak linger for too long. Momma Narga's legacy could totally live on here! If not with her young, then most certainly in just traipsing around the map in her skin.
Yes, didn't you notice that almost every monster leaves you in peace also the elder dragons except you attack them? They just life their life and we kill them :(
To be fair, we don’t see what happens to the baby Narga, and it’s likely that it was taken in by the Guild. As the Guild seeks to maintain the balance between Humans and Nature, and only allow hunting of designated Monsters after they do a bit of research on them, they were likely aware that Nargacuga was a mother based on it’s habits. So even if the mother was slain, the baby was probably rescued so that it could be released back into the wild once it was stronger. It’s why the Guild exists after all, to make sure that stuff like this doesn’t go unchecked.
Comments a year old but also! While I don't actually know how the alliance between riders and hunters are since I've yet to finish Monster Hunter Stories 2 and haven't played the 1st at all which is where the Riders are settled, they still have an alliance and they work together. Riders literally incubate monster eggs, I don't see why or how they couldn't take in any strays for conservation efforts that the Guild finds!
Yeah sure. Stealing eggs, breaking horns "collecting samples", killing every monster we see on the field, including the peaceful ones. And making them into armor. The guild is clearly aware and they do nothing. The whole "it's for balance" can't fool me. It's all done for the money and out of fear.
I was actually hunting a monster in the Ancient Forest while wearing my Beta Nargacuga set and I got stun locked by the monster and all of a sudden, a Nargacuga charged at the monster (while also knocking me out of my stun) and they had a turf war. The Nargacuga chased off the monster and then left me there- I swear, it was almost exactly like that Zinorge cutscene in the Guiding Lands
I once fought side by side with a Fulger anjaneth against an ebony odogaron. We ended up chasing it off and just wandered the wildspire waste together until it left.
Happy Ending: The Baby Nargacuga grew up strong, and the mama Nargacuga went to the Rotten Vale so that with her dying breath, she can supply energy to the new world.
i thought of another one, the baby was found by a rider who raised it and developed a bond, and insted of there plan to later then release it into the wild it become there number one partner and they worked together to stop stuff like this happeneing agian.
Don't care that this video is 3 years old, given that Nargacuga is my favorite monster in the entire series, this video breaks my heart everytime I watch it, but I love it
I was so sad when I saw the ending this is like my third time watching it I love the nargacuga species and all the variations of it it’s tied with Pukei Pukei for my favorite monster so I was heartbroken when I saw this for the first time

To all the people saying the real monsters are the Hunters, just remember. The Hunter’s Guild heavily monitors monster populations and only condones the hunting of monsters endangering the balance of the ecosystem. Like in the real world, a Nargacuga with a child would most likely be tagged, and protected. At least until the young Narga is old enough to live on its own. What you see here is Monster Poaching
Also, MHW actually displays a situation where lack of info comes back to bite us in the ass. We kill Nergigante because it eats Elder Dragons, and wind up finding out the hard way that Nergigante is Nature's way of keeping the Elder Dragons in Check. With it out of the picture, Xeno'Jiiva has free reign. As a result, we're forced to clean up a mess of our own making - we have to kill Xeno because Nergi wasn't around to do so.

But in the special arena case means they also make a bunch of them be brutally murdered by artillery fire, heavy crossbow guns, shock nets and a giant dual drill machine :3

Capturing is no good either. What hunter is going to go look for the offspring of the monster that was trying to maul them. . . . certainly not me. Id love to see more animations that draw a factor to the lives of the baby monster's more. They dont always have to be sad but it gives this beautifully odd appreciation of life. Wonder what itd be like for tiggy as a baby?

So sad, yet so beautiful. The atmosphere is just so enchanting and moving. Now I want to raise a Nargacuga of my own (or capture if I'm a Hunter) in honor of this. Keep up the amazing work!

you ignorant fools!!! you dont realize how difficult is that to hunt a nargacuga? i got slashed, tail whipped and rammed several times by this foul beast. Besides its worth hunting becuase of the equipment with super sharpness.
In the end everything was ok because the mother was captured and lead the hunters back to get her cub, thus allowing a family of Nargacuga to be studied by the Commission.
I see a dude completing his set yes, you do know you get more materials from capturing a monster versus slaying it, right? My idea is sound even though you don't like it lol.
Just putting it out there, in case you guys got some serious case of the feels r reels: it would be unlikely that this particular Narga would be hunted (at least in official capacity) through any contract work done through the guild. Part of the guild's responsibility is to act as a regulatory body to insure that wyverns aren't hunted to extinction. Hunting of wyvern species that IS NOT contracted is considered poaching and is greatly condemned. Great care is taken by the hunting guild to insure that excessive hunting doesn't destabilise local ecosystems. If you notice in guild contracts the vast majority are missions to capture or exterminate threats that get too close to humanoid settlements. Others are to eradicate overpopulation that throw the ecosystems off kilter due to maybe previous circumstances such as poaching or a misdiagnosis of a previous problem. Remember kids, methods of capture should be your default. You may just end up relocating a narga cuga back to a more sequestered part of the jungle.
And then you occasionally have that kid who thinks Khezu is cute and just wants you to hunt one so you can tell them about it... Also, what does this say about Riders in MHStories that just go up to any random monster all willy-nilly and start beating the crap out of them? Literally in the first hour, one of the tutorial guys goes like "behold: a poor, defenseless Aptonoth. NOW GO BEAT IT UP." I do agree though, as there are also quests that are literally about preservation of the monsters or whole ecosystems (I think there's a couple capture quests like that). More to the point though... sounds like someone is going to mysteriously vanish again.
Not actually true... I feel bad about the video but the sad truth is it could actually have been hunted. And it could’ve even been an overpopulated area or the best could’ve been close to civilization. But you’d be surprised how Many quests are actually to just hunt the monster for sport. Some quests tell you “prove yourself by killing this monster” or even killing a specific monster for research. On good example is the 6 star hub quest in mhgen wild Gunman which just asks you to kill them to study their ranged attacks. And the 5star hub quest nargacuga throwdown is just to kill one just because. Missions aren’t only issued by the guild either, missions as literally requests from anyone, guild or civilian, in an application that they want a specific job done which can include gathering, capturing or killing a monster or aiding someone in need. To be honest I’ve always had this mindset that monsters aren’t evil, they’re no different form animals. I always capture if it’s possible. The only truly sentient monsters are the elder dragons and that’s the only reason I’m not hard on killing them..

@@mrshamaki you don't always kill monsters in stories. For example, in Stories 2, if you make a Velocidrome retreat to its den, the game will still say you slayed it. Another example would be the Duramboros in the first Elder's Lair trial in Hakolo. There's only one of them there and seeing as it isn't their natural habitat (Hakolo's an island in the middle of nowhere) there should be no way for it to be replaced by another Duramboros, so the only way one would appear is if you didn't kill it or someone replaced it and since the person that made the trial is dead, there's no way it could be replaced, which leaves the only way for it to appear be that you didn't kill the first one. A way I like to think of it is if you get a part that is essential for a monster to live (Head, Legs, Stomach), you killed it. If you didn't, you just injured it.
@@badokadonk912 there might be more duramboros that we dont see and the retreat is just meant to be at the end of the fight so it has to come after the slayed announcement. But even then i feel like it's worse, the hunters come and kill for security/need. the riders come, badly injure the monster, take their soon to be child and skin them alive a little. This was a sad video, but it's part of life. Those hunks of meat the Mom kept bringing back for her baby had to come from another animal, which possibly had children of its own that are now waiting for a mother that will never return
Krono actually both of those things of meat happened to be me when nargacuga caught me gathering. I hat fighting him and tigrex and Diablo and hate their armor so I dont hunt them unless in a party and it story based which is like once a game lol

Jaron Savier That is true, but in the context of the Monster Hunter world human beings aren't at the top of the food chain. Simply to survive it's important to hunt the monsters to reduce their populations (to protect the civilians that can't fight) and to gather their materials. Since it's a video game we're never at risk, but imagine your character dying permanently when you would get carted in the game. That makes the monsters a hell of a lot scarier, and if Leeroy was a "real" character then that evasion set would be important equipment for him.

To all the people saying the real monsters are the Hunters, just remember. The Hunter’s Guild heavily monitors monster populations and only condones the hunting of monsters endangering the balance of the ecosystem. Like in the real world, a Nargacuga with a child would most likely be tagged, and protected. At least until the young Narga is old enough to live on its own.

As a result, we're forced to clean up a mess of our own making - we have to kill Xeno because Nergi wasn't around to do so.

Just putting it out there, in case you guys got some serious case of the feels r reels: it would be unlikely that this particular Narga would be hunted (at least in official capacity) through any contract work done through the guild. Part of the guild's responsibility is to act as a regulatory body to insure that wyverns aren't hunted to extinction. Hunting of wyvern species that IS NOT contracted is considered poaching and is greatly condemned. Great care is taken by the hunting guild to insure that excessive hunting doesn't destabilise local ecosystems. If you notice in guild contracts the vast majority are missions to capture or exterminate threats that get too close to humanoid settlements. Others are to eradicate overpopulation that throw the ecosystems off kilter due to maybe previous circumstances such as poaching or a misdiagnosis of a previous problem. Remember kids, methods of capture should be your default. You may just end up relocating a narga cuga back to a more sequestered part of the jungle.
And then you occasionally have that kid who thinks Khezu is cute and just wants you to hunt one so you can tell them about it...
Also, what does this say about Riders in MHStories that just go up to any random monster all willy-nilly and start beating the crap out of them? Literally in the first hour, one of the tutorial guys goes like "behold: a poor, defenseless Aptonoth. NOW GO BEAT IT UP."
I do agree though, as there are also quests that are literally about preservation of the monsters or whole ecosystems (I think there's a couple capture quests like that).
More to the point though... sounds like someone is going to mysteriously vanish again.

Not actually true... I feel bad about the video but the sad truth is it could actually have been hunted. And it could’ve even been an overpopulated area or the best could’ve been close to civilization. But you’d be surprised how
Many quests are actually to just hunt the monster for sport. Some quests tell you “prove yourself by killing this monster” or even killing a specific monster for research. On good example is the 6 star hub quest in mhgen wild Gunman which just asks you to kill them to study their ranged attacks.
And the 5star hub quest nargacuga throwdown is just to kill one just because.
Missions aren’t only issued by the guild either, missions as literally requests from anyone, guild or civilian, in an application that they want a specific job done which can include gathering, capturing or killing a monster or aiding someone in need.
To be honest I’ve always had this mindset that monsters aren’t evil, they’re no different form animals. I always capture if it’s possible. The only truly sentient monsters are the elder dragons and that’s the only reason I’m not hard on killing them..

Same. This made me cry a lot. I dont like killing the monsters. Especially when you can actually walk side by side with them without even getting attacked by them. Though yeah some of them can go die like diablos and deviljo.

In monster hunter stories, I already did. Of course, in that game you slap a saddle on it and ride it when it's fully grown. Which is still better than it starving to death, but not by much.

This made me cry and why I love MH Stories way more than MH World.
I love monsters way too much to be able to kill them. Even capturing them maim them horribly...
In world, captured monsters get released.
In games prior to world they dissected what you captured.
in stories you still kill monster AND you steal their eggs, riders are way worse than hunters lmao
@@mrshamaki you don't always kill monsters in stories. For example, in Stories 2, if you make a Velocidrome retreat to its den, the game will still say you slayed it. Another example would be the Duramboros in the first Elder's Lair trial in Hakolo. There's only one of them there and seeing as it isn't their natural habitat (Hakolo's an island in the middle of nowhere) there should be no way for it to be replaced by another Duramboros, so the only way one would appear is if you didn't kill it or someone replaced it and since the person that made the trial is dead, there's no way it could be replaced, which leaves the only way for it to appear be that you didn't kill the first one. A way I like to think of it is if you get a part that is essential for a monster to live (Head, Legs, Stomach), you killed it. If you didn't, you just injured it.
@@badokadonk912 there might be more duramboros that we dont see and the retreat is just meant to be at the end of the fight so it has to come after the slayed announcement. But even then i feel like it's worse, the hunters come and kill for security/need. the riders come, badly injure the monster, take their soon to be child and skin them alive a little. Like, wtf riders, just kill the poor thing, you took everything from it

This was a sad video, but it's part of life. Those hunks of meat the Mom kept bringing back for her baby had to come from another animal, which possibly had children of its own that are now waiting for a mother that will never return
Krono actually both of those things of meat happened to be me when nargacuga caught me gathering. I hat fighting him and tigrex and Diablo and hate their armor so I dont hunt them unless in a party and it story based which is like once a game lol

Jaron Savier That is true, but in the context of the Monster Hunter world human beings aren't at the top of the food chain. Simply to survive it's important to hunt the monsters to reduce their populations (to protect the civilians that can't fight) and to gather their materials. Since it's a video game we're never at risk, but imagine your character dying permanently when you would get carted in the game. That makes the monsters a hell of a lot scarier, and if Leeroy was a "real" character then that evasion set would be important equipment for him.
I think you portrayed the sadness pretty well. Please, never do this again XD makes me feel bad about hunting. I'll only do mushroom gathering quests now
