    This Patrice career rant is a time capsule that everyone in showbiz should be forced to sit down and listen to. Because when you're dead and gone, all you have is your legacy. Patrice is now revered for doing things his way. Did he get to the top? No. Was he rich? No. Did he get a sitcom? No. But he has respect. You can't take it with you. He refused to shuck and jive for Hollywood.

    • @johnygimo
      @johnygimo 3 года назад +18

      @@tomatoesofdoom ure not gonna stop ppl from hating others its part of human nature. no one likes everyone they meet. they might not hate everyone they meet but they will for sure be indifferent about most ppl thats why we're not all friends with ppl we meet - compatability. expressing ur feelings is better than bottling them up and then one day going out on a killing spree. like school shootings its always the quiet kids because they dont feel like they can express themselves till one day they just shoot em up

    • @tomatoesofdoom
      @tomatoesofdoom 3 года назад +3

      @@johnygimo ok well that's all fine and dandy but unless there are laws preventing people from acting a certain way, human beings are going to do hateful shit to express their beliefs.
      If you look at any time in history besides now, there almost always was in every single society a group of people who are hated by the majority class. Anti Hate laws just protect those people from the angry mob of idiots who can't control their most rudimentary basic instincts

    • @laserlobotomy
      @laserlobotomy 3 года назад +2

      @@tomatoesofdoom Who gives a flying fuck what someone has to SAY? ACTION is the relevant term here. There should be no law restricting speech outside of an active call to violence, and we already have those laws on the books. You cannot control someone's hatred or opinion with legislation. That only serves to pidgeonhole them into more extreme behavior. And what happens when an inherently corruptible government decides that objectively loving, or supportive speech is now, by their definition, "hateful"? And in doing so, completely subvert the will of the people. You deserve neither freedom or safety, you coward. Big daddy government will always be your downfall, not your savior.

    It's very similar in Corporate America. You try to be nice and honorable and they don't reciprocate. Then when they do reciprocate it comes at a cost that you owe later. And while you feel like it's the right thing to do, it just brings you closer to acting and behaving like they do where you have no honor, no loyalty, no integrity and everything has a price tag or leverage attached to it.

    Patrikie was all about freedom sometimes, this is a perfect example. Totally wished he wasn’t so much about race, but I get it. He had a way of explaining things that equal freedom.
