Thanks for the preview video. This a day one backing choice for me. I am very excited for the expansion!
Appreciate your content as always. The longer I research this the more I like what I see. If I can get over my annoyance of missing the opportunity to grab the acrylic standees I'll probably grab a King's Pledge while the new campaign is still live. Cheers.
I'll be picking up the expansion for sure. Thank you for the overview.
Nice view on the upcoming project ! Can't wait to get it even if I just started with the base boxe. Events and Legendary items espacially !
Love the original game and this seems to be a well thought out expansion, that will enable even greater immersion into the characters and the world. I have already started to fashion my wizard into a battle mage ( a common theme in my games) and so I was particularly pleased to see that. I doubt that I will ever tire of LoD as it ticks all the boxes for the things that I love about fantasy games.
Looking forward to this !
Your review of the base game made me buy it, and your preview of the expansion made me pledge for it. :-)
The game looks amazing, glad I saw this, I am late backing on game found. Thanks for doing the review and preview.
Hope you enjoy it!
Backed the game just for the Core 2nd printing. Im going to see if the game is a good fit before I start to buy expansions.
Thanks for a great review. So fun to see Duckfolk in the game as well. It's a homage to Dragonbane (Drakar och Demoner) whom added the Duckfolk in their 6th edition if I remember correctly. They were both loved and hated for their silly appearance, so they had a kind of cult following in Sweden you could say.
This looks so fantastic! I love seeing the different sub classes that you can choose at lvl5, makes the character progression even deeper! Now, I've only managed to play a few scenarios, but I know for a fact that I will back this!
Cannot wait for it!! I'll take both the English and the Spanish version of it. Its a nobrainer!!
I have a copy of the first printing and haven’t played it yet. The rules were a little too heavy for me. I need to try and learn it again….
I had given up on dungeon crawlers. Something was either missing or to bloated...but im really itching to give this one a try.
Needs a mouse carrying a halberd for that name
My first time pledging on any boardgame so excited for this.
Awesome. Hope you enjoy it.
Hello, i participated at the campaign, i wonder if i should wait for the new rulebook so as to play it or if the game as it has a flawed rulebook is playable.
Definitely wouldn't call if flawed. No reason you couldn't start now and continue with the changes and class additions etc.. once the new stuff hits.
Duckfolk is prett silly and takes away from the immersion IMO . Otherwise cool game!!
Events are the marrow of a dungeon crawler
I wish they would have named it “The Prophet”, and let you decide whether or not to follow! But I don’t know how practical that might be…maybe it is obvious, like a necromantic, charismatic Hitler-like or Stalin-like character in the role of “prophet”
No reason you couldn't riff on that yourself ;)
Orignal backer, absolutely love the game, one of the most authentic dungeon crawls. Any ideas about what the upgrade pack contains? Im hoping a new rulebook since that was my only gripe with the game, original rulebook is rough.
The upgrade pack is supposed to contain the updated rulebooks as well as some cards that had misprints.
Is there a new map or do these new quests happen all on the old map? I'd like to see some new locations...
Not sure. There was no new map in the box or mention of it... other than the mention of dwarven settlements in the rules.
@@DriveThruReviewHmmm, never mind, it's a must have expansion anyway, of course.. ;)
@@1AngelAlitaThere may well be one, but just not completed yet. Worth an ask over on the Gamefound page probably :)
The expansion is still set in the Kingdom, so no need for a new map on this one. There are a ton of new quests though, and a lot more variety in settings that those quests take place in, thanks to the addition of mines and caves.
Duck -Tales- Folk, woo-oo
I was thinking more like Howard the Duck.
Very curious about the Slayer specialisation. I really hope it is Warhammer inspired!
Is that Kallax shelving behind you?
It is not. It's some shelf I bought from an Office Max going out of business. Not sure what it is exactly.
I backed it !!!!
