- Today we're kicking off with a gorgeous hypopressives practice flow to strengthen and tone your pelvic floor!
We go from standing pose, into diver and kneeling, and finally on the floor into sitting. We repeat the same flow a second time using the rhythm of just two lateral breaths instead of the usual three. Let’s go!

Alice, I've been doing some of your beginner videos for the past month, experimenting with the breathe...and yesterday as I found myself running through the Toronto airport I didn't have any leakage!!! I'm a convert and loved day 1. Can't wait to see where the 30 days takes me. ❤

Love your teaching style! I’m new and feel as though I am catching on to technique, but I was sometimes missing cues for when I should actually vacuum, in parts of the routine. Sometimes clear, sometimes not clear for me, or not enough time before we moved on to a next move. Meanwhile, I love what you are doing!
Hi Merrilee, welcome! Great to have you here 💙 the cues for the vacuum are at the end of the 3rd (and in the second part of this video 2nd) exhale.. the cue to look for is "exhale... hold your breath (i.e. don't let any air in)..pause..slowly stretch your ribs". I don't do it myself as find it tricky to get all the teaching cues in, so you won't see me doing the vacuum breath in most of the videos on here 😂 if you need more time, you can slow the videos down in the settings option at the bottom of the video, some are quite fast, or you can just do 2 breaths instead of 3. Hope that helps! Alice x

Hey Alice! I’m new to your channel and excited to learn more. I don’t leak when I walk alone, but when I walk and *talk* with a friend on my walk, I leak! I don’t understand how the talking part is causing my issue, but it must have something to do with internal pressure changes, right?? Any tips on how to correct this odd phenomenon?
Hi Sue, yes it's most likely to do with pressure changes through your core and pelvic floor. Hypopressives will help to improve the resting tone of your core and pelvic floor, and therefore improve the way your body manages changed to intra-abdominal pressure during daily life. Also worth checking your posture is good e.g. ribs stacked over your pelvis. Alice x
