To be quite honest Ryan Our amazing online brother I got to say I'm sorry that you had to go through this I mean I love Mortal Kombat 1 it's I think it's a great game the characters are and all the locations are perfectly made and well done I've never gotten really full into the detail of the programming issues with new characters coming in and new seasons of invasions and to be fair I didn't mind invasions of fighting the same fighters over and over again and getting new skins it's pretty cool but yeah It kind of starts to get a little old but I've never had any issues with the game on my PS5 hopefully not anytime soon and I never really played online matches that much but I completely understand what you're going through man and I know you're frustrated about the whole programming issues with Quan chi and invasion season 3 having a release date hiatus and the servers shutting down on multiple occasions to be fair I feel bad for you we all do we always got you and Anthony's back no matter what and we always love you I hope netherrealm studios and Warner Brothers get their acts together soon stay positive our Amazing online Brother keep your head and heart held high and by the way you and Anthony have done a great job entertaining us and always finding a way to make us laugh and cheer and you're doing it not just for yourselves you're doing it for everyone your family your friends especially the fans that always had your back right from the get-go that's heart and that's passion never give that up

This is just another prime example on why I absolutely despise games that force you to be online for stuff that shouldn’t require internet connection just to play when it has nothing to do with any traditional online PvP mode.

An Online only game, and even when you do unlock costumes and skins, *only Player 1 can use it. NOT Player 2 on a local guest account.*
If that doesn't demonstrate the complete lack of respect NetherRealms has towards its players and fanbase, then I must be living in Opposite Land. Where nothing makes sense anymore.
@@blok--head7472 it technically isn’t an online only game because you can still play it offline alongside whatever content you bought and unlocked but they did lock several stuff behind an online wall which was ridiculous.
Something to keep in mind: Warner Bros. as a company is in complete shambles right now, which could explain why their business practices have gotten significantly worse over the past few years. I seriously just wish NRS was owned by a different company that actually gave them enough time to spread their wings and finish a game that was very clearly meant for a 2024 release

What even is Mortal Kombat anymore, it used to be so much fun to play with friends, family, and random people, now it’s nothing but online, online servers crashing, toxic players, toxic fans, and a bunch of micro transactions that are just too expensive… 😔

What really pisses me off is that NRS keep removing the seasonal currency every time we get a new invasion mode season. I had over 100k in seasonal coins, and they removed it. 😡 Nobody wants to keep grinding for chump change. At the end of the match we'll, get like 50 coins, maybe 100, with a flawless victory. But the skins cost 1500 to 6000 coins. 😒🙄
And most of these “skins” are just alternate palettes of the same base costumes we had since launch while the completely different costumes are often locked behind premium currency.
Don't forget the coins you earned, The Shrine runs out super quickly during each Season. 75 items per Season
@bhlakbatosai Yeah, that's true. Also, they have been stingy with the skins in the shrine this season. I have been getting a lot of foreground profiles in the shrines.

It’s kinda shitty that when the servers were down, I couldn’t even select Shang tsung or omni man. Which in already owned. So we need an internet connection now for dlc and unlocks now?
I'm not gonna stop playing the game, but this made me really annoyed that I couldn't play him too. I was SUPER excited and I waited HOURS to the point I gave up and am just gonna try again tomorrow.

Agree, the horrible thing is that it requires online connectivity. You couldn't even play Omni-Man too. Many people play offline and we are not competitive players that need constant watch. WB/Netherrealm needs to get their act together. 90% of us are all casual.... sad that modders do a better job too.
MK1 looked so good and everything but I was disappointed in how it turned out in the end. But I agree with you.
It's odd. This video was published the day I had a dream about a Mortal Kombat skit inspired by Smosh. Like "Stop Copying Me" but with Scorpion and Sub-Zero. I definitely understand if you want to quit Mortal Kombat, though. I'm going to be a game designer, and will take any people's opinions of what they want in games with heart. You don't have to do Mortal Kombat if you don't wish to. But if you quit RUclips, know that you will be missed. And I mean that.
As someone who hasn't gotten the game yet, I can't give an opinion. However, I'm hoping your expierience improves soon. I'm hoping to see more from you soon. All my best wishes to you.

I'd complain too if I payed good money for something just for it to not work properly. Plus, it screws with their schedule for skits and other stuff like tower playthrough videos. as someone who enjoys playing alone the stuff that requires you to be online just turns me off from the games in general. and how netherrealm has been belittling fans if we didn't like the directions they've gone with characters or story has gotten annoying. like you i'm a very old school fan but i stopped purchasing mk games with mkx. it's just become dissapointing.

I’m not gonna stop playing MK1. But that does *NOT* mean I’m not pissed at Warner Bros. My disappointment is just as high as yours, and I’m mad…immensely so.
I have nothing to blame for Ed Boon.
However, the only thing that I have to blame for Netherrealm Studio is the decision of collaborating with WB. Even though the trailers were fun, gameplays were fun, etc. I was still skeptical about WB’s collaboration, even at the happiest I’ve been for MK1, because I knew that they were super greedy with other works and stuff.
When it comes to servers being down and expensive prices for game features, I blame it 100% on Warner Bros.
Lucky me I’m currently financially stable, but I can imagine how hard it is for others who wanna earn features and have to waste money ($36 for 3 fatalities, a lot of money for skins too?! come on now!)

Idk if it's just netherealm but the servers for mk11 seem to be down as well. It's quite upsetting also considering the currency system too, the company is unfortunately getting greedy, that is the problem, they don't listen to the community. I feel mk11 and mk9 had SO much more to offer especially mk9, wish they would bring back a lot of those modes like test your ______ towers because there was so many of these minigames in mk9, and the kyrpt being a thing in mk11 they need more, the whole game feels unfortunately VERY lacking, very glad you addressed this. I would love to just have a completely straight reboot of mk9 and all the features,it had so much to offer and it most likely has one of the best character rosters I have ever seen in a mortal kombat game
I dont have MK1, but I do see the problem. Like most games, the game looks good, but of course, there's no game that hasnt have any flaws to it. Hopefully they fix the problem and I do wish they bring back, not only old characters from 3d era or 2d era, but kreate a fighter like armageddon back.

Def not getting another NRS game at launch after the disappointment of MK11 and Mk1, they just seem so lazy and don’t offer content like they used to, and on top of that they seem to care more about overpriced skins than quality of life updates. Used to be my favorite franchise but after these last few years I just don’t know anymore
What annoys me even more is making features that were never locked behind an online wall a thing now with the recent games ever since MK11 with the krypt, in game currency and just unlocking stuff in general from the base game requiring an internet connection just to do so and I still remember that old interview years ago before MK11 when Derrick (I think that was one of the devs names) have the reason for that and I remember it being a really dumb reason as to why 😑
This is something I was starting to fear around the time Mortal Kombat X came out because i saw the potential of some of the live service viruses contaminating the NRS games starting to affect them into making some actual bad decisions that so many people choose to ignore because they are such big fans of MK which is cool but I've been seeing too many game corpses that already came into existence from the live service shit to even start warning people about this crap so i gave up, after all the only way for people to start noticing is when something crappy like this happens more often and people get to start complaining about it ... even though this literally, objectively, undeniably should become illegal already, because this is not longer about companies like Warner Bros or NRS to make games but products and this is just another one on the list, yeah i wanna see modes like motor kombat, chess kombat, kreate a fighter, we already have potential to bring those modes back or bring something similar that it could be ACTUAL SUBSTANTIAL AND FUN even if it's something small because it brings a lot more value to the game-- Sorry i mean ''Product'' because paying 60$/70$/80$/90$/100$ is not gonna be enough for these companies but something has to force them to understand that should not be the only focus

I’m tired of them not giving us a konquest mode - THIS GAME should of been the mk game that gave us so much more than what crap it is. I just wish they would make the older mk games especially deception playable on the newer consoles.

I was disappointed in it I was going to try to get the platinum, but then after realizing I had to get five of the cameos maxed and had to do a lot of stuff in the invasions mode it’s called I just gave up it just seems barren. I bought the collectors edition, kind of want my money back.

I 100% agree with you dude, this new trend where *"Offline games have to be online at all times"* while important information is "hush hush" is frankly killing gaming. And it just sucks to see Mortal Kombat finally joining the likes of EA, Activision, or even Microsoft levels of scumbaggery. But voting with our wallets is all we can do, along with calling out the problems.
Loved your Scorpion and SubZero sketches since the days of MK9. Just a real shame that the series is in a dark period at the moment. Even MKvsDC didnt have *this* much flak.

I agree! Although I will be playing mk games until the end of time, I feel you man and I respect your opinion. The game just feels unfinished, and theres just no enough. Honestly I bet if they added Konquest like in the past mk games where there is free roam and everything, along with character dialogue and more. That would have been amazing! But sadly Invasions didnt hit, but the skins are great. And they also dont have the Krypt and instead replaced it with a shrine, that literally is just a Genshin Impact but with no pity and horrible rng. And they have a lot of favoritism with the characters, like Johnny, he has an overloaded kit and has an enormous amount of plus frames in his kit that makes you wanna cry. And then, like you said, Nitara is very weak and has barely anything. Some characters are just great and some are just super low tier. And theres also Kameos that are just too powerful. This game is just super unfinished. And I would also like Create a fighter too, and honestly, if they added that to Invasions mode, it would have been way better. But if they want to make players super happy, then they can take a note from street fighter's book and make a fighting hub where players and their create a fighters fight each other. Or you can use your fighters offline. There is so many things they can do with this game yet choose not to implement them. They make tons of money from sales alone. And with the overpriced dlc along with prices in the shop, its a spell for disaster. I'll keep playing but I really don't like the route they are going in. And if it keeps up, it's just gonna be Overwatch 2 all over again. Overpriced everything, with very little content.
That's why i don't play online pvp at all because server problem even i use strong internet connection sometimes happens to my SoulCalibur 6 pvp mode..
i don't play MK1 i mean i want play so bad because Omni Man dlc but can't afford it so I've got MKX and MK11 because their make 30% off on Steam in my country Malaysia in last 2 year😅..

Its such a shame. I love the gameplay and the story of MK1 but the rest is not handled well, especially the microtransactions. I guess I can try the story DLC if it comes out but they'll most likely overcharge us like last time.

Legit shit we won't talk about so I feel like that's why what happened happened but I think not buying another MK game may also further the problem from ever being fixed. My opinion as someone who wants to make games in a very indie like setting. I don't speak for big companies.
While I do agree with the points, and trust me, I know the problem with online mortal Kombat, just give them a chance to fix this, they're working with what looks like realistic graphics, higher effects, new concepts with Kameos, and yes their online content is trash and honestly shouldn't be exclusive to online because as a grinder, I'd want 100% of the content, but Netherrealm is a huge company and they have deadlines they need to meet, remember triborg back in MKX, broken as all heeel, but later on fixed up to a degree, patience is a virtue Bizarrelyfunny
Servers are mainly down to upgrade and support new content, like our phone updates, or basically anything that needs an updated version
Patience is hard to have after 14 years of this. I feel like I'm always having to navigate this bs and its very stressful as someone with social anxiety to have to constantly be unsure of whats next and when because they suck at communication. Yes they fix problems eventually, but often like with the pc's netcode fix for mk11 they wait until the games practically dead to do so, and first start off by saying they won't do it. Certainly if nothing else they could improve on communication

I do not blame you for not buying. Being a long time fan of MK myself I was greatly disappointed in MK11 and the fact MK1 had less content and development time turned me off. Something didn’t feel right to me since that first trailer. Also Kameos suck.

I just don't get why everything needed to be connected to the server,if it gets down you just can't play the game because all your progress is gone and you can't use DLCs.

Once a week or less uploads until December 24th 2024. On Christmas Eve next year I'll be auctioning all my costumes live on RUclips with the money going to charity. That'll be the end for me 100%, but Anthony may continue (he hasnt decided yet).
To be fair Ive basically given up on Mortal Kombat after 10 and i know everyone gripes on 10 but ive been there since the second game ive played them all. This is a series ive grown up on and the fact that im watching it sink farther and farther saddens me. The fan base is toxic as a women i dont even like playing online if i plan on using a mic simply because every time i do i get trash talk. The toxic player base is a large problem and its sad it has to be this way. And its not like the games are getting noticably better over the years either honestly i dont care about graphics and i hate that everyone i talked to personally about the games thats the number one thing they rave about. What about the characters? What about the story? Shouldn't thouse things be more important to us than being able to see the characters pores while were fighting with them 🤦🏻♀️. NRS doesn't treat their fans like fans we're literally just a paycheck to them who cares what people think about the game if you've already dropped your 60+ dollars on the pre release. Everything is just reskinned version of something they've done before. The last straw was when they made Kuai into someone hes not, dont get me wrong i love Hanzo but scorpion has always been second to sub zero to me. And now their taking Kuai, the guy who repaired relations between the warring factions and threw that into the garbage. Like i was waiting for peace my whole freaking life and its just gone. Im not gonna waste money on a game from a studio that time and time again has just thrown mud in our faces.

Well, other fighting games to parody aren't Mortal Kombat for a whole channel. Maybe you could do Street Fighter parody content and Soul Calibur parody content to mix it up. That way you're parodying three fighting games for a channel instead of one.

Invasions is just repetitive fights and overly grindy. And each season is the same as the last. They just change the skin colors you fight and get. Season one - orange.

And this doesn't affect me whatsoever. As the game takes up a ton of space I can't afford to have it downloaded at all times. I played it at launch and enjoyed it. I uninstalled it and am waiting for all the dlc to come out before reinstalling it. I need the space for videos for my own channel so that's why it doesn't affect me. I pre-ordered the ultimate edition and feel like I got my money's worth. I'm not mad or anything because I haven't been playing it anyway

A real Mortal Kombat 1 eould have been so much better. I thought the story was pretty interesting up until the tournament and a little but after that but once they introduced the whole multiverse thing, it all wnet downhill.

Your not alone on how the game is terrible. The reason why Neatherealm studios drop this game so early because they saw SF6 was already dropping there game so they decided to drop it as well just to compete SF6. We Deserve better than these last games (X, 11, & 1). I hope Neatherealm studios gets a wake up call after this flop game. My money is going on SF6 and Tekken 8

@@BizarrelyFunny When have they done this before? I can't recall this at all. I've bought every single game and dlc and I can't remember any issues like this before. Keep in mind I got the dlc for 11 on launch day. Also you are whining about 12 hours? Try an entire month of spotty internet because Microsoft doesn't care about their players. They claimed and maintained said claim that it wasn't on their end. Makes zero sense because nearly every xbox gamer had issues connecting for an entire month before Microsoft actually did anything. That coupled with the fact that they kept stealing money from me is why I abandoned Microsoft for Sony. Or how about this? Bethesda screwed up an update for Skyrim that caused the game to be unplayable for a week due to the update causing the game to crash every five minutes. They eventually fixed it but that shouldn't have happened in the first place. But here you are having a hissy fit over a temporary outtage. I don't know if I'll miss you from this channel now since you have been treating your fans like garbage because they disagree with you.

I shaved my head bald for this character and wasted a lot of time and stress preparing to play him that day. Plus the vid wont do as well upon release and this isnt the first time. But of course you wouldn't know that before deciding to be a troll
