It's pretty good that Mick is driving a school bus around the circuit. Best way to learn how to improve a car. I bet he will be the champion one day. He will develop the next winning Ferrari like Alonso did with Renault who was driving a Minardi before, which is compareable to Haas '21 or Vettel who won with Toro Rosso before Red Bull won their first race ever. So, I am very excited for Schumi reloaded. I never was a fan of Schumacher but I really hope his eyes are open to see his son win the championship one day like Jos did.

Incredible how Max is now a World Champion. I hope Mick is good enough to take on the championship and win some day. He was mighty quick in that Haas. If you look at his Q1 times he was very close to Russel and often much closer to Latifi. The fact he got the Haas in Q2 he’s definitely got the speed. Needs more experience. I wish Michael could have been there to guide his son in F1 like Jos can. It’s so sad.

20 years later and the roles are reversed. Jos worked really hard to give Max a Spartan training and succeeded in honing his skills to the point where he can get points in a shopping cart.
Both are so young here, and they look sweet... Jos certainly did an amazing job. Its sad for Schummi how it turned out for him. It would have been great if he also could have trained his son.
Two fun things: there has been a 2nd generation driver in every F1 season since 1991, although 2004 was a close thing as Villeneuve only took part in the final 3 races. Also the 2022 season had a Schumacher, a Verstappen and a Magnussen, just as 1997 (and 1998-ish) did. Verstappen and Schumacher were teammates in 94, Schumacher and Magnussen teammates in 2022, and Verstappen and Magnussen drove for the same team in 1998.
Now both are in F1. And Max is regining WDC as of the posting of this comment. And Mick has begun to come alive this year too. The future of F1 is looking bright
First, it's only 20 different drivers in one season, otherwise there has been a lot more drivers. Secondly, it is quite common to see f1 driver's kids join the competition because a lot of money runs in these families. If it took only a ball and two goals to participate in the sport like in football, the current grid would definitely look waaaay different. Hence I argue that not skill but money is the bigger factor to participate in F1 (which makes the sport a bit disappointing from that point of view).
@@cozymode70 i agree with 50%. To be in F1 you need both money AND talent. They are however communicating barrels. More talent means easier money to obtain.
@@InfinityX2 I did state that one needs talent (obviously) to be part of F1. My comment was referring to an estimation that with easier (and cheaper) access to the sport, there wouldn't be the same guys competing in today's F1 because the skill ceiling would rise by a lot.

Since Mick is F1 driver, we now have Schumacher and Verstappen 2.0. Sadly Mick doesn't have competitive car yet.
