If they ever remaster the Tenchu series, I really hope they will bundle all the games on one card/disc. I'd spend an entire week of vacation to Grandmaster Tenchu 1 to WOH.
Honestly, Tenchu 3 has one of the dopest intros out of any game period. Really well done in all aspects, audio, visual, cinematography, it's just fantastic.
Nothing made me happier than finding out that Rikimaru survived the ending of Tenchu 1 and is once again a playable character. That guy is just so awesome!
I played this game 14/15 years ago and still remember it so vividly. This game was awesome and truly a hidden gem!!! I don’t know anyone that’s played it, they missed out!!!
@@Mbrace818 Sekiro is more like a samurai game. Tenchu is 100% ninja. I like that it is not too flashy either. Most of the skills and abilities are believable with a hint of supernatural which I love.

@@Mika-Fresh I agree with you. Not all of the elements of Tenchu are in Sekiro. In my opinion, Sekiro is the combination of these games - GoW Ascension - Onimusha - Shinobi 2002 - Tenchu
I still play my ps2, it's starting to show its age tho, the lense needs cleaning every now and then or it won't read blue discs and the disc tray gets stuck sometimes but it's still the best way to play these games imo, unless you know how to emulate properly, which I dont.

I remember having the demo of this when I was a kid. Coming from a single parent family my mum couldn't afford to buy any of these games and I would never ask her. Never thought I would be able to play this. I would just replay the demo again and again. Now at 31 I downloaded a bunch of games onto my steam deck that I missed out on when I was kid. Tenchu, the onimusha trilogy, Getaway, silent hill and I'm loving it.

The cemetary leverl scared the crap out of me. The enemies, the super creepy music, the sword draining your health. I think it took me weeks to brave this level.
Your in luck they made a spiritual follow up is called sekiro and it is every thing this game is but with better combat and compelling bosses. And yes from own them both
Ghost of Tsushimas Legends mode has a real Tenchu feel to it. I also played the single player game like it was Tenchu, big focus on stealth and using all the tricky gear.

Loved Tenchu 1 , 2 and Wrath of Heaven back in the day. Come home from primary then around high school time wrath of H had came out. Man just to play these again.
I loved playing this game in the early 2000s. I remember renting it from a local video store that also rented out PS1 games. I also loved playing Tenchu 2.
Assassin's creed shadows is this game remade. Rikimaru is even in the game but as a kid. His grandma calls him Rikimaru by name which is the coolest Easter egg ever and the game instantly brought my mind back to this game with just watching gameplay alone. Ubisoft forward 2024, Assassin's Creed Shadows gameplay is a must see for every tenchu fan.

One of my best tenchu memories was in one game (cant remember which one, ps2 I think) had a silly redub that unlocked after you beat the game, where you were “questing to find the secret invention” or something like that. Turned out, the secret invention was toilet paper and it was just the funniest thing. I’ve always thought more games should do something like that to add to replay value
Amagai Castle was always my favorite level in this game. Does it make sense that you're murking wooden robots with only a sword? Of course not. But this level is a blast
When i was elementary, i would love to beat all the stages but when it comes to Cemetery stage i just hate it and freaked out in all night that i can't sleep to keep my eyes open. Watching myself from all those undead and wet my pants in the morning
