- New World Record. GrandMaster% meaning getting Grand Master rank on every stage in a single playthrough as fast as possible. Routing this was tough, but it was worth it. I've always wanted to do a Grand Master run.

There’s actually a secret path on the last stage right before the first pit fall, you just have to grapple upwards to see it before you enter the room (42:10)

I'm still playing in 2021, to Rikimaru the story is about the "The Secret Invention", Ayame "Echigoya Modeling Agency" and Tesshu "Some gay love story to Jinnai" 🤣

If you play this game we have 3 layout before start the mission every layout different enemy spawn
when you get to limestone cavern, there are supposed to be 3 people in the beginning area, but there is only 2...why is that?
It's been a while since I've run this game, but I think it's 3 enemies there on Normal and Hard difficulty. This run was done on Easy.

I bought Tenchu: Return from Darkness, but I don't own the original XBOX. Once I can find one, I'd love to speedrun it.

@@CptEddyPrice Yes, however loading does not affect IGT (In-Game time) which is what the run is based on.

Thank you ive been using this video as a reference cuz I've been wanting to speedrun this game for quite some time but i keep getting discouraged cuz i couldn't figure out why my time sucked in comparison
Btw congratulations on this speedrun this is the run that kinda amped me up to get into speedrunning have you considered doing a ghost run where you dont kill anyone except for the bosses cuz after i can get decent enough at running this game that would be my next step

By the time I started speedrunning this game, I had already routed and learned to speedrun a few other games. It's totally normal if your first attempts are slow (mine always are lol). The more you play and faster you'll get.

This game sucks. Loading times, running speed (seriously the dude needs 4 steps to walk 1 meter), and the movement in general. When you fail a mission due to the horrible movement you are then punished by the loading times. It's really a shame because I so wanted to love this game when I played it, until something snapped in my head.

In my opinion Shinobido Way of the Ninja it's a much better choice than Tenchu, in Shinobido you have more freedom in your actions of the story, the gameplay it's more unique and addictive, basically you really feel like a true ninja from every aspect... ☯️ I still play it from time to time when Nostalgia hits me up on my PS2.
