- Do you want a unique way to illustrate a year in your life? Why not try a 365 Embroidery Journal!
In 2020, I stitched one thing every day in an embroidery hoop to represent my year. My completed piece won multiple awards as well as being featured in frankie magazine and Mollie Makes magazine. I'm doing it all again in 2022, and I hope you'll join me!
If you want to create a journal of your own, watch this video for a list of supplies you'll need to get started, how to draw a template onto your fabric, and how to prevent your fabric from fraying throughout the year!

I am gearing up for my 2025 project. Since I know how to embroidery, this video is exactly what I needed, getting the journal started. Thank you so much.🫶🏼
Hi Kay, that’s so exciting and I’m glad I could help 🥰 I’m thinking about doing a 2025 one too!!
This is so cool. Thank you for my 2024 project
Oh yay! Happy stitching for 2024!
I've seen a few of embroidery journals on Printerest and seeing it's January 2024 I thought I'd give it a go. I haven't done embroidery since school days, so it's a learning curve.
Great explanation of how to start. Thank you.
Hey Jenny! I’m glad the video was helpful, all the best with your journal 🥰
Thank you Lindsay for sharing your lovely embroidery with us. I've just found your video today Sunday 26th November 2023 so I'm a bit behind but I will do my own embroidery and will definitely get myself set up for the coming year 2024! Vera in Northern Ireland ❤
Woohoo! Thank you for watching and I'm glad it was useful for you! All the best for your 2024 journal :)
This looks fun. I made a crochet temperature blanket a few years back and I found having a daily thing fun.
I’d love to make a temperature blanket, maybe that’s how I could learn to crochet!
All I ever do is work and study, but maybe journaling would encourage me to get out and make memories I can embroider/write about
I felt much the same while I was doing my journals! I talk a lot about how to choose what to stitch in this video: ruclips.net/video/tVxqo2VE2Io/видео.html
i was just thinking about starting this in 2023 and your video really convinced me, thank youu
Oh how wonderful, thank you for watching! I’m catching up on November and December now and will hopefully finish by the end of the year!
I found the initial set up the hardest part, but your tip for using the template to make the pie slices is so clever- thank you!
Oh thank you so much! I’m glad it helped! To be honest, I actually did it a way more difficult way and had to figure out a way to simplify it for this video 😅
Thank you! Can't wait to get started. Such a great idea.
Yaaaay thanks Ellie! Keep me updated 😊
Thank you for sharing all this with us Lindsay! Great first video, looking forward to more and seeing how you go with the rest of the year!
And thank YOU for watching! I’m excited to share more updates!
Right girl. I’m sold. Can we please have some close ups of your pictures and how you stitched them. Maybe concentrate on the ones most people can relate to like aeroplanes flowers, children, you know what I mean. Love the detail of your little pictures. Loved this video. I just ordered one. Ekkkk congrats on your success with it all x
I’m going to film a Jan/Feb update tomorrow so I’ll try to capture some of this for you! Thank you! X
This is sooooo dope...
Thanks Michelle!! 🥰
I love it!! I'm going to get started on my own soon.
YAY how exciting! I hope this video was helpful for you, let me know if you have any questions 🥰
@@lindsaystitches Very helpful. Thank for the inspiration!
Thanks this is inspiring. And thanks for the great video.
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰
Beautiful journals! Nice first video!
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰
Hi Lindsay! I just started mine today, inspired by you. Can I just ask, how did you frame your 2020 one? I can’t seem to find even what it’s called anywhere online!
Hey there, that’s so exciting! I made the frame for my 2020 hoop - it’s sandwiched between a couple pieces of clear acrylic which are held together by some bolts! There’s a pic on my Instagram if you scroll back ☺️
Quite useful.
Thanks Bindu!
Amazing!! Thanks for sharing! :))
Thank you for watching!
Starting your journey in August.
Amazing !!! I hope the video was helpful for you, let me know if you have any questions ☺️
I’m too new to start a project as big as this one. Do you have any tips about starting a “sampler,” I’m new and think that might be more manageable at this stage. I liked your video and look forward for any new ones.
Hey Richard ☺️ Its a huge project, I wouldn’t take it on as a beginner either! I’m actually working on some sampler type products at the moment which I’ll likely list as digital patterns on my website and make some videos to go along with them. Let me know if there is anything specific you’re hoping to learn! Thank you for watching ☺️
Cool
Thank you!
Where do you find all the little images? I wouldn’t trust myself to freehand them.
Can you do a 2023 journal?
Hi Wanda! Absolutely not 😂 check out @thestircrazycrafter on Instagram, Sophie has done a journal for the last 3 years and is doing another one in 2023!
🙌🏽
Great job! Where do you buy the acrylic frame?
Thank you! I actually got a laser cutting business to cut the acrylic for me and made it myself!
