I don’t think she’s ugly but she’s so overpriced I don’t feel any pull towards her. The amount they’re up-charging for an oversized box most people don’t have space for and the ability to swivel her inbox… insane. If they’d given her a second outfit or a special prop it would be better but it just feels like they’re giving less product than a standard doll for double the price. She’s pretty but not double price pretty, maybe I’d feel differently if I had more disposable income 😂

I wish dolls were in simple boxes that are easily to take in and out. There are plenty of doll lines that do this. Plus the money they save can go to the actual doll instead. Also more importantly less packaging less waste.

Roxie is gorgeous! I love the color blend of her hair and the iridescent sheen on her dress. I do have to say though, her style and number of pieces is similar enough to Costume Ball Robin I don’t think she’s worth the extra $20. Rather than a more detailed box and doll stand, I wish MGA had given her a veil, a coat or even a tiara or headpiece instead. (Edited misspelling)

I found her really early at Macys and ended up listing her on my Mercari. I am not a fan of the dress, just too similar to the Divas and there’s just not much going for her except she’s pretty. Also, she doesn’t look much like a holiday doll to me. The costume ball dolls are much more intriguing imo.

MGA does love reusing names, I think it’s kind of a cute consistency over the doll years. One of the main Moxie Girlz name was Avery, for example. It’s like a cool crossover thing.

So I totally bought her then turned around and returned her because I felt icky about her price point. But I recently got her at Target using the $10 gift card that came with an ad, the 25% off and a $20 gift card from my b day to make her an acceptable price to justify the purchase
Maybe a faux coat. As extra. Or the dress should be colors if the box. If I get her… yes I will… I’ll put her in Jets’ dress. For first Christmas doll the dress should have been better. She is stunning though.

You need to remove the back piece of her stand ...the part with the waist clip ...all you need is the leg clips and part that goes between her thighs ......that way you can display your doll and her dress in all her glory ....❤️

I love roxie I got her asap at target she is cheaper there also. Idk why walmart is more but hey she worth it I think. It's a beautiful dress and her hair is good except I don't like tinsel but this isn't as bad as like the stuff in margos hair was or even costume bella I left the tinsel in bella and worked around that but I didn't remove roxies either since it did look great maybe I got lucky idk but she is amazing.
Right now, this doll is $120 in Canada, based on the original $80 US retail. It would be cheaper for me to pay for shipping and get it from Amazon US, but still too much for me. I would pay $60 CAD (same price as Divas) for her, but not more. I have no room for that box, so I would have to toss it.

When you look at the kpop dolls and what you get for $60 vs her at $140... it makes zero sense. If anything the kpop/neon shadows dolls are the collector dolls and she is like a budget formal line.
Honestly we need a formal line so they should have saved her for that, and then pulled out all the stops for a gorgeous amazing Holiday doll that screams holiday.

Also I feel like ankle articulation is the most pointless….. would make more sense with flat feet to move it to pointed toes but rainbow high are just just pointed! I just don’t understand. That stand is TRASH. The moving gimmick is just a waist of their energy. She should really come with more for the price too… she’s pretty just plain for holidays. Like give us a candy cane style or winter evergreen vibes? That’s not holiday. It’s just glam. Lol idk I want her but mixed about her.

It's interesting that they have already slashed the price, which I assume is based on poor sales at the $80 original. It seems it has dropped to $60, and Amazon has an extra $15 reduction right now (Oct. 20th). I wonder who pays for that drop? Does MGA cover it, or does the retailer take the hit?
I highly doubt they’re not making a profit. The manufacturing price is definitely lower than the current price point. I think MGA could be doing this on purpose so that the most loyal consumers purchase at the original price, and then everyone else purchases. It could also be poor sales like you said. All I know is that they’re probably not making their intended margin of profit.

I’m in the USA and usually buy them around a year after release. They have 50%-70% sales at target and I get them for $15-$20.
