    • @rticle15
      @rticle15 2 года назад

      @@scotthart6237 Ive read about that. I cant recall who else i read about doing off-stage backup for Ozzy. I wish more older rock bands would do that. But bring the supplemental singers on stage. Be up front and give them some exposure for it. Kiss is a great example. I want to see Paul Stanley but another younger singer with more range could fill those gaps while not taking away from the show, in my opinion.

    Oh Let the river flow
    Through my callused hands
    And take me from my own
    The eyes of the damned
    It makes my stomach churn
    And it tears my flesh from bone
    How it turns our dream to stone
    And we all die young
    Oh tell me I know
    I live so afraid
    And still we cry alone
    With words left unsaid

      I hated Nirvana. Pearl Jam I could tolerate. Alice in Chains was pretty sweet. Chris Cornell, made Soundgarden tolerable. But those guys from Seattle, sure put a lot of good bands out of business. But it wasn't entirely their fault. Bill Clinton in his cronies figured out that they couldn't shut up people like Ozzy Osbourne. Or Dee Snider. But they could use the federal government to put the screws to the record label. The Telecommunications Act of 1997 reduced the amount of record labels in the market from 44 to 6 they say. Clear Channel, iHeartRadio, bought up as many rock and roll stations as they could under the new laws. And converted them over to rap or country. Today, everything has to be Disney Radio friendly. I respect those hair metal guys for not selling out to Disney. And the ones who did... Weren't really musicians in the first place.

    I had never heard this song before the movie Rock Star. Since then it has become one of my all time favorites, easily landing in my top 3. There a quite a few versions out there by different bands/acts, but my personal favorite rendition was performed by the band Eden’s Curse. If you love this song and haven’t heard their rendition give it a listen. Amazing stuff.

    Mark Wahlberg does not do the singing in this movie, or for the soundtrack. The singing is done by Miljenko Matijevic, who sang for Steelheart, and Jeff Scott Soto, who sang for Yngwie Malmsteen and Journey, among others.

    For all the RockStar fans, I’ll paraphrase Steve Vai talking about Crossroads and Ralph Macchio. Ladies and gentlemen, Mark Wahlberg nailed the character of Chris “Izzy” Cole in RockStar, but he didn’t sing a note of the lyrics in the film. This guy that sang in this clip was Mark’s singing voice in the movie.
