Chris Bosh on edibles is pretty accurate
Terrence Shannon is the best player in the draft so far. Just facts. Dude is unbelievable
I absolutely love Rob, TSJ, and Clark. In my opinion those 3 have NBA ready skills that could potentially rly help this next years team. Out of the 3, TSJ has impressed me the most, especially his ability to get to the line consistently.
Minott and Nix are nice players, but that’s about it. I can see them getting some run this season.
Idk much about Edwards and Hifi.
Leonard Miller looks like the most awkward dude to touch a basketball 😂
He kinda just floats around aimlessly at times. Sad because he's super talented. It seems to be all mental at this point. If his shot was better, it would be different, but that is clunky as well.
Miller is potentially the next Wiggins. Good talent that can't get out of their heads to really dominate. I just wonder how long it is before Minott gets packaged in a deal. Maybe he'll have a NAW like career resurgence elsewhere.
Thanks Phil for reporting on the "becoming a thing" Chris Hine feel for point of attack Finchy/Wolves cultural revolution.
Shannon having an NBA ready frame is great for his summer league debut and I hope he can hold his own with NBA starters. Dillingham being 19 doesn't worry me, he'll likely grow an inch or two and put a bit of muscle on. Conley, Kyrie, and AI aren't huge and I understand those comps are unrealistic but he has the opportunity here in Minnesota.
I was there at that Friday game. Terrance is a tank and controlled that game. Can’t wait to buy that jersey
Biggest thing could be for Dillingham, when he plays with Ant, he'll see a lot of better looks per the double teaming of Ant,
1. TSJr
2. Jaylen Clark
3. Nix
4. Dillingham
5. Minott
6. Hifi
7. Edwards
8. Miller
Even though it is not Thursday, this is one of your best reckless speculations. I agree with everything you guys said in a while. What a GREAT Deep Summer Dive.
The biggest problem with Miller is they are playing him at the 5 really. He won’t play there in the NBA team. Hopefully he can still develop into the Kyle Anderson SF/PF Swiss Army knife type.
Minott has looked horrible in my eyes. He should never dribble a basketball on the court. Anytime he puts it on the floor it’s a turnover waiting to happen.
Miller has such a narrow frame, wish he had more of a Naz like frame.
He should dribble a basketball 4 hours a day. Sounds dumb but that’s how you develop handles. Grind everyday until it becomes second nature.
Clark looks like he is in pretty good shape after sitting out for a year, probably will improve consistent shooting. Shannon was my best pick in the draft.
Yall gotta be box score scouting. Having minott up there is wild given he’s been one of there worst players and it’s year three. Robs been a way better at running the offense than nix and gets handed a ton of late shot clock grenades that lower the percentage. Hifi is a straight chucker who is a literal black hole. Real list is TSJ, Clark, dilly, nix, minott, hifi, Miller, edwards.
they’re talking abt tsj becoming a starter one day 👀
He could very well do that.
@@sumwhatsolo3691no, he can't. We're not sittting Jaden.
@@billhicks808if they find a reason or a deal that involves moving Jaden then it’s TSJ season
@@joshday5321 that's a gigantic if. Which they're not doing before the guy plays a minute of NBA ball. That's actually crazy to think Shannon can just step in and replace a second team all defensive player who won multiple games for us last year.
It's not happening.
tsj at 24 looks a lot like a rookie ant
TSJ reminds me of KAT, hair size skills and all
This summer league team has been a blast to watch through two games. I think all 8 guys mentioned in the list have the potential to contribute in some meaningful way in the next three years. Loving what I'm seeing from Shannon & Minott - two guys that we might need to call on for deeper rotational minutes after losing Kyle Anderson and adding another older player in Ingles.
Rob has definitely struggled a bit, but the start of game two was spectacular and his potential as the heir to Mike Conley was on full display.
Also, the Wolves should 100% use that last two-way slot on Hifi - that kid has game.
If a team ever wanted to go small ball against us, imagine a defensive focused unit with Clark, Ant, NAW, McD, and Towns. I'm not sure any team would be able to score against that.
I feel like y’all r to hate on rob his shot just didn’t fall besides that he has been a pass first guard I think rob has been great
These power rankings Phil are hard core!
1. TJ
2.. DAISHEN
definitely agree
Hifi is a certified bucket getter, reminds me a little bit of Michael beasley
Less refined Corey Brewer is a hell of an insult.
Idk he averaged 9 pts a game for his nba career. If you think minot will average more than that be my guest
Putting Hifi over Miller is pretty hard to swallow. Miller played well in game 1 before he got poked in the eye. Hifi has been a 10/22 and 2/10 from distance. He has ball hogging tendencies and doesn’t play make. Clark should also be higher based on game 2.
hifi is better than miller timberwolves needs a point guard that can actually be somewhat of a threat others a playing point guard too much
@@amazonfinds9157 Hifi is a professional PG that averages less than 2 assists per game in Europe. In the 2nd summer league game he had 0 assists and 0 rebounds. His 1 steal was offset by his turnover. Hifi is a 6’0 shooting guard and a terrible fit both for the summer league roster and especially the Timberwolves. Maybe he proves me wrong in the next 3 games, but until then, let’s just say I am skeptical.
@@Jeff-sf6clwith 11mins a game it was one game he had that 000 stat line the game before he got similar stats to daishen nix with less than half the time
@@amazonfinds9157 great point. The problem is Nix doesn’t belong on the Timberwolves either. Summer league is a full step below the G league, which is a full step below the NBA. Nix has 3 years on a two way, and played a lot for the Rockets main roster in 1 year. If he isn’t the best player on the court in Summer League he has no business even being talked about for the NBA.
Hifi needs to show that he is a willing passer and a more capable 3 point shooter. Plus he is still under contract with Paris for 2 more years, and I doubt he is available for anything short of a full roster spot, which we are unlikely to give.
Josh Minott fits on the bench as a hype man. But I love it lol.
Watching this summer league ive loved the lineup up Nix and Clark rotation and nadir hifi mixed in.
I feel like Minot was to high it feels like Miller and Minot are in the same bin
Shannon should be an AllStar with Ant one day soon. Awesome Show today.🍻🌬👍
Got high hopes for this bench
hifi is currently the pg that Minnesota need yes he has a little tunnel vision but timberwolves need somebody that is actually an offensive threat not a passive offensive point guard that's why they drafted rob for offense not on play making
tsj is niceee
1. Joe Wieskamp
2. Joe Wieskamp
3. Joe Wieskamp
Shannon is a player just hold your Nikes
As much as I like the Energy of Minnott: No way could a player, that doesn't show (like you said) neither a clear nba skill, nor could be reallistically playing regularely next season, nor have aclear vision for his plan laid out, nor has shown clear progress since last year could rank as high as 3.
For me it's
1. TJ (for obvious reasons)
2. Nix (because he plays TWolves basketball and is small money PatBev)
3. Rob (cause he has shown commitment and first steps on developing a defense game, plus he is really a playmaker and not just a bucket!)
4. Jaylen Clark because his defense is NBA ready and his understanding of tje game is through the roof (+he has worked on his jumper)
5. Hifi (because he's a bucket and fights as hell
6. Miller and Minnott ex aeqo: because they both stagneted and at least 1-2 season away from even becoming tje 10 guy on the team. But I still like them as projects. Cool dudes!
P.S. Great show, guys!!!
The thing we have to remember is that the Wolves are asking these guys to do what they aren't comfortable doing. Miller is being asked to play defense, rebound and get the ball out in transition. Rob is being asked to run the offense and get the transition going. Hifi is going to be back to France and not sitting on Wolves or Iowa's bench. Clark is looking like a beast on reading the opposing offense. Minott seems lazy and not comitted to doing anything more than score. TShannon is a young Carmelo. If your non-rotational guys are Clark, Miller, Luka, Daishon and PJ Dozier. That is depth that Denver would kill for.
it would be a mistake to let hifi go without a 2 way
in my opinion Nix is just playing a lot of hero ball and getting lucky. Rob is doing what he is asked of him in this summer league and the play making is on point. All around not a great take by Mackey, and its only game 2 ? Save the power rankings until the end as its only 4 games.
I like Rob Dillingham a lot, and I think he will figure it all out at some point, but holy shit, his defense is ass 😅. That isn't entirely surprising, but that will need to get fixed, to at least a respectable level soon.
as much as i enjoy minotts athleticism. too often, im like where is he? but TJ, Nix, Clark i would have in my top 3. I liked Hifi game 1, game 2 i was like, are you just looking for your own shot? took a peg down for me. Miller is ranking is fair, but he did have like 15 and 10 i think in game 1 even exiting early with his eye. but he seems like he should be more dominant with the opportunities he gets.
I think i would go TJ, Nix, Clark, Rob, Hifi, Minott, Miller, Edwards.
hifi over nix anyway similar production numbers on less than half the minutes
I like the fact that sports dad has to tell us he's not being a smart ass.
Hifi ranked too high. 0 assists 0 rebounds. Numbers says he's only looking for his own shots.
Bros a bucket
Go watch the game. The dude was a bucket, I would swap him and minott around
@@HEADHUNTER3579 for nix
TSJ is getting a lot of Jaden "SOD" vibes.
Any chance you guys knew he only played 15min or so game 1 because of an eye injury?
Box score searching won't tell you that story though...
Initial reaction is that Rob is a flop and the Spurs got it right. He looks too small to play Defense and his inability to finish inside is too big of a fault to ignore. I'm not saying he has no place on the team but at #8 and calling him the "steal of the draft" the "wolves won the draft" mainly because of the Rob pick is WAY over hyped. Not even sure if there is a good player comparison for him. I really hope he proves me wrong but it doesn't look good and these are summer league guys.
As a second year player, was hoping to see better from Miller.
Most players it takes about 4 years, a normal college career length
Floating around on an edible (jordan Addison)
No Foul limit. announcers were like, terrance shannon with his first foul but eh, it doesnt matter lol
It's 10 fouls to foul out
And they say it every 5 minutes when they are broadcasting a game.
These guys are all trying to fill rolls and do things that will get the 5 to 7 min a game
Horrible rankings... just asinine. Rob > Hifi And it is not close.
Minnot is not it, I get rebounds but what else he and dillingham should be swapped
