Yes pacing yourself is the key, I think. I'm just getting back to fitness after a few months of illness and I'm feeling so much better now. My training is bike commuting as it's the thing that fits seamlessly into the time I have available and uses up dead time that I would be just sat in the car. I agree with you about experiencing the changing seasons and I love it. I cycle all year round, even in snow and ice and prefer off road trails where I've witnessed stoats fighting, kestrels hunting metres from me, seasonal migrations at the local nature reserve and love to listen for the first chiff chaff, etc. There's nothing like getting out in nature to connect you to life itself.
Hi buddy why don’t you do cycling ? Just take your time. I love it and I do it because I have knee issues. Plenty of off road paths too.. either way hope things work out and you get better. Take care 👊
