OMG I JUST LEARNED TO GET THE THREAD INTO THE EYE!!!! I used my glasses or magnifying glass cause my eyesight is bad 🤣🤣🤣 it’s the little things that make me happy LOL
Thank you so much for making this! The diagrams that came with my singer were too confusing. This saved me! Very clear instructions and the close up shots of everything made it so easy so see exactly what I'm supposed to do. 😁
Great video. Maybe I missed it but make sure the presser foot is down or else the needle threader won't work. I was following along but it wasn't working for me until I found that info on another video
I am doing everything correctly but my needle won't threat automatically, I keep thinking I just be doing something wrong but I am following this 100% so not sure why it won'tauto thread. I ended up doing it by hand.
Oh no! A few tips are to make sure you have a new needle and that the thread is the right size for the needle. Then make sure the needle is in the most upright position by turning the hand wheel. After that make sure you press the needle threader all the way down. It definitely takes some practice to get it right!
These are helpful tips Hailey, but how can we tell if our thread is the right size for our needle? It seems like generic thread and I’m just using the included 90/14 needles with the machine, but no dice. :/
There is one thread guide on top of the needle, and inserting behind that is not shown here, that step is missing. But all the other steps were very clear and helpful. Thank you :) I wonder what happens when letting there the thread loose. Probably not much changes. But that little guide lets the thread to descend perfectly vertical next to the needle. (I'm new to sewing, so I know basically nothing at this point. But I already know, the sewing machine is a miracle.
I've tried and tried and can not get my needle threader to work. Please help I have looked at your video over and over and can't get it, Thanks for sharing and please help!
No I'm sorry. I don't have experience with that machine. Singer has their user manuals available on their website though. Maybe you can find yours there!
it might be an issue with the mechanism itself. I would make sure there's nothing in the way that would be impeding the rotation before taking it into a shop though!
I am working on a project and each time the sewing goes wrong I've noticed that the thread has jumped out of the loop just above the needle. This has not been a problem on any of my other projects so I wanted to understand what was going wrong. However, I noticed you did not place the thread through the loop above the needle. Is there any particular reason for not doing that? Because the manual instructs you to do so.
Ive done the needle threader process multiple times and it just stops. It doesn’t pull the thread through and now the thread was cut off. Would you happen to know why the threader just stops without pulling the thread through the needle?
My Singer tradition keeps jamming. It'll go a couple of stitches, then jam. And the stitches it did do are all ready. This machine was working fine until I put a different thread on the bobbin, retreaded, put the bobbin in and tried sewing... Keeps jamming???
I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble with your machine. The best things to do are clean, rethread, change your needle, change your thread, or rewind your bobbin when you are having issues. And then if none of those fix the problem, having a specialist look at it usually helps!
I’m sorry to hear that! I’ll consider making a video just on the needle threader to help make it more clear. It’s tricky and I’ve heard the same thing from a lot of people!
Is the thread falling out of the needle? If so, try holding onto the thread before sewing so that it doesn’t fall back through the needle. “Leaders and Enders” are another way to do this. Sew scrap fabric before and after your project so the thread is always attached to something!
My singer tradition doesn’t have the automatic threader. Plus everything I thread it manually and try to sew, the bobbin case falls out and the thread comes out of the needle.
I thread mine manually cuz I don’t have a threader, but when I do a test run, the thread is no longer in the needle…over & over again, same problem! Help!
it sounds like you need to pull enough thread through your needle to have a long tail. and then you'll want to hold onto the tail when you make your first couple of stitches. this will prevent the machine from pull the thread out of place!
I've tried 50 times to get the auto threader to work. Can't get it. I had to thread it by hand. Then, it took me 20 tries to get the bobbin thread to catch...Ugh. Then, the machine keeps jamming up when I try to sew a test run, and all the thread is bunched up on the bottom of my test sew and I have to cut thread, re-catch the bobbin, etc., etc.. Obviously I'm, no seamstress but I remember fixing my clothes with my Mom's machine when I was young and I never had nearly the problems with that machine that I do with this one.
I'm sorry you're have so many troubles with your machine! The best things to do are clean, rethread, change your needle, change your thread, or rewind your bobbin when you are having issues. And then if none of those fix the problem, having a specialist look at it usually helps!
hello very nice video's thanks for taking the time to film great videos please I ask request very nicely please kindly film how to operate the sewing machine electric foot pedal how it's used to sew please ok?please kindly reply back ok?thank you very much
Thanks. The manual is confusing .Will not show the auto needle thread well. It is saying Hook D from under to above ?????????? and it seems you abrupt loose handle A . I 'am an Bachelor in Engineering but this is grrrrrrr...... Will try again
I am going absolutely CRAZY trying to thread the needle. ( At one point my son gave up and threaded it by hand. ) If it is 'easy' why cant I make it work? I watched the videos *several* times. I have not always failed in exactly the same way, but I always fail. I'm too tired to weep in frustration.
Hello, I just saw your video. It looks like you're doing all of the steps right so I'm not quite sure what is going wrong. Instead of completely letting go of the need threader with your left finger I would try gently releasing pressure so it slowly goes back up. Sometimes if you completely let go it can jiggle your machine and cause the needle threader to unravel. I'd also try looking a few other videos - sometimes it just takes one different angle or a different person explaining it to really get it! I'm sorry it is causing you frustration.
Yours was not the first video I saw. It might have been the 3rd. I may give up and just keep threading it by hand. Using my phone camera, I can zoom in a bit to help see the hole. I still wish there was an easier way. There is a shop in town that will open on Wednesday. I can try taking in my machine and get hands-on guidance. Then practice under supervision until I have it down. If THAT doesn't work, nothing will.
Their is a small hook in the middle protected on both sides by the fork plates. This hook will grab the wire . It can bend easy and even brake. With a magnifying glass and small tools you can try to fix the hook again . Very strange the Singer heavy Duty 6800 serie has the same threader as this low budget Singer. From Singer we can read: Threader hook bent - Replace with new needle threader hook. The threading hook can be bent very easily, it can also be bent back in to the correct position very easily

I’m happy for you ❤
Thank you so much for making this! The diagrams that came with my singer were too confusing. This saved me! Very clear instructions and the close up shots of everything made it so easy so see exactly what I'm supposed to do. 😁
Glad it helped!
Whaaaaa... Your a life saver!!! I couldn't remember how to do the final part with the little arms by the needle! Thanks a million!!🤩🤩👍👍
Very well done...it's so helpful when you zoom and show the part before doing the action. Thanks a bunch!
Thank you. The instructions from Singer are not clear at all. Your video was very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you! I struggled so long with this. Your video was clear and thorough. Camera view is awesome.
Excellent video Hailey, thank you !!! This video answered many questions I had.
Great video. Maybe I missed it but make sure the presser foot is down or else the needle threader won't work. I was following along but it wasn't working for me until I found that info on another video
Thank you! I had exactly the same issue. Good job I read further down the comments or I'd still be scratching my head!
That is a very good Tip. Thanks will try that.😊
Good video, helps my wife understand the instructions
Your videos were so helpful! Thank you for showing a close up of putting the thread through the bobbin!!
Excellent. Best tutorial. Well explained steps and excellent video quality. I love it.
Thank you .Have been struggling for so many days😢
You got this!
Really clear and helpful. I've never used a sewing machine before so I really needed to have everything spelled out like this. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Same here 😊
Excellent! I look at multiple sites and you are the best! Thank you!
thanks so much for taking time to make these videos - big help!!
You are so welcome!
Best tutorial ever!! Thank you

The singer tradition machine sucks. Mine constantly unthreads and snaps.
I feel the same thing is happening with me and gotta be honest, it’s wildly frustrating!

Yes, you are right! Thanks for the tip!
Gracias hailey
no problem!
Hailey Thanks for the tutorial only one problem, I have, I don"t have the needle threader on my machine. I have to manually thread the needle.
yeah not all machines have the auto-threader. there are some great needle threading notions out there to make it a little easier though!
Clear and great instructions! 🙏 thank you !!
Thanks for the video, I now know how to thread my needle with the side lever.
Hailey, thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Hi thanks for the video I still having trouble getting the string into the need and connecting two string of the last step 😢
Ecellent video Hailey - thanks so much 👍
You're so welcome!
Super useful & clearly explained!
Thank you!
Your video was very helpful .. Thanks a lot for posting this :)😃
Glad it was helpful!
I've tried and tried and can not get my needle threader to work. Please help I have looked at your video over and over and can't get it, Thanks for sharing and please help!
I recommend reading the user manual for your machine and keep practicing! It can be tricky to get the hang of it.
I am having the same struggle
Thank you. Very helpful!
So glad!
I want to know why my top piece where you thread the thread stuck and not moving?
Do you know how to thread a singer confidence and from down up please?
No I'm sorry. I don't have experience with that machine. Singer has their user manuals available on their website though. Maybe you can find yours there!
Glad I watched this, I was licking the end of the thread and trying to stick it through the needle like a dumbass
lol we’ve all been there
Thank you it was really helpful, but mine does not rotate when you put down to touch the needle, pls if you can tell where is the problem.
I have the same issue

I missed this step in the tutorial!
Lovely video, but you missed passing the thread through the piece just above the needle assembly. It shows doing this in the machine manual.

I'm sorry but I tried this so many times and I am not able to get the automatic threader to work 😫
Me either! I just manually threaded it. I read the instructions and watched her video multiple times. Idk what the heck 😩😩

Absolutely
I need to see how to remove the spool of thread to replace with a new thread
I don't seem to have the automatic threader attachment with my machine
Same here I’m so confused
Does the machine come with the pedal?
Yes it does!
Yes 🙌
My singer tradition doesn’t have the automatic threader. Plus everything I thread it manually and try to sew, the bobbin case falls out and the thread comes out of the needle.
Hi ma'am my spool pin is broken how to fix that
Can you show, how clear machine
I thread mine manually cuz I don’t have a threader, but when I do a test run, the thread is no longer in the needle…over & over again, same problem! Help!

How about the inner thread? How do we pull it outside
You can see how I walk you through doing this in this video: ruclips.net/video/bADtwPNVA9M/видео.html
Wait. What about the bottom thread?
You can watch my video about winding and inserting the bobbin here: ruclips.net/video/bADtwPNVA9M/видео.html

Didn’t know there was a different tension point for bobbin and sewing
How to fill shuttle and put in machine

6:39. I tried to attach a 12 sec video of one of my failures 😢
I think it was posted as a public video

My sewing machine doesn’t have a threader :/
Doesn’t work for me, but thanks
