Props to this game and Hit & Run for actually getting all the original voice actors. Most 2000s licensed games only managed to retain some voices or none at all.
I can't tell you how many hours I sunk into Road Rage. I remember I used to go for "Sunday Drives" on Sundays after church. I loved how the characters interacted with one another because there were some characters you didn't really see talk to one another much in the show. Granted, there were a lot of automated responses rather than addressing the other character specifically, but still
I haven't played Road Rage, but the issue I notice is that you don't get extra money by driving close to other cars. That was what made Crazy Taxi so addicting, since the Cars were semi-random there was a lot more replayability.
That's true, there's no bonuses for close calls or stunts or whatever. All the bonuses (and there's just two in Road Rage, three on the GBA version) are based on completing a trip. They're bigger bonuses, but it's definitely less intense moment-to-moment.
How many Simpsons references did YOU spot in this video? EDIT: Also I called one of the maps Springfield Forest instead of Springfield Mountain. And the GBA version does have an exclusive map, Country Road, instead of Nuclear Power Plant. My bad!
Catching up on Cloud content after being busy for awhile and I’m NOT disappointed! Great vids and always appreciated. Looking forward to seeing the Lupin stuff I missed
When you ran over Bart at 5:58 I spit my food out. Def gonna check out the GBA version, and I might even play some Crazy Taxi on Dreamcast this weekend
Yeah, I'll admit that Road Rage isn't that good... But I still really like it. I grew up with the PS2 version and my sister and I had a ton of fun in the Vs mode. We ALWAYS fought over who would play as Grampa because of how fast he was.
I play the shit out of this game. I've tried Crazy Taxi and it's a fucking train wreck. The gameplay is just awful compared to Road Rage. Not to mention that annoying announcer trying to sound like Wolfman Jack.
Otto’s school bus: Springfield Elementary’s greatest natural resource…. Dude, the way you worked in all this little quotes from the show into this video was awesome 👏
This game has a special place in my heart. Played it with my cousins when we had family get togethers every summer. I found a pretty consistent loop on Springfield Dam! Pretty proud of that one.
Commenting again after finishing the video. I smirked at all of the Simpsons references you wove into the script. Well done! I for one welcome our new Cloud Connection overlords
Decided to take a sip of my Flaming Moe for every Simpsons reference you made in this video. I ended up going through my Flaming Moe, a six pack of Duff, two Red Tick Beers and half a Fudd and I think I may need to go to the hospital now.
I forgot you needed to make a million dollars. I had the ps2 version, I don't think I ever got that to the end goal, though it's a pretty forgettable game so who knows
In the Simpsons remake video game 🎮 I definitely 💯 want to see this one huge scrolling map 🗺 and it covers all 6 locations seamlessly and I 1 trillion percent agreed 👍 with you.

The dialogue for this video was full of Simpsons references. Good job.
This is the definition of a game that you love if you grew up with it, and only if you grew up with it

A little known thing this game has is, there are little secrets based on the calendar date on your system
I love this game
Props to the GBA devs, that 3D is impressive. Not on the level of VD Dev, but still solid.

anyone that buys someone a GBA verison of any game, probably hates the person they bought it for.
I loved all the Simpsons quotes you worked into the script. Top notch content! Keep it up and I continue to hope that nothing will possa-bly go wrong!

*you get to the hospital*
*the doctor* : "Holy smokes, you need booze!"

Yeah, agreed. One thing I wish though, is that they made it easier to get more money each run.
altron almost always demolished the console versions of licenced games
Never played these. Would like to but licensed games are usually stranded on their original consoles.
Good vid
