There was a video for the making of the last Sepultura album where it showed him getting frustrated and struggling with parts, and I appreciated seeing a guy who plays at his level pushing himself to perform at the peak of his abilities and having to still work hard at it. I consider him one of the most unique and interesting drummers in metal today (and there's tons of amazing drummers), he's got something that sets him apart from of lot of them.
On his old youtube videos recorded with EAD10 he always said "no triggers" in the description, so it's possible he disabled the trigger. But we'll never know for sure
Nothing against Eloy, but this sounds really bad compared to what is considered a top notch edrum kit nowadays. Maybe it feels good to play but the samples sound cheap and awful.
I thought it sounds pretty decent… better than Roland but I prefer Roland hardware more with the realistic looks and just use it to trigger sounds from a drum software instead
If you pay attention, he says explains that he uses muffling and toning on the toms, so they don't make a lot of noise and distortion. Sounds are amazing in the DTX module, he just adjusted them for rehearsing in a small room. Check out other DTX10 videos ... the sounds are much fuller.
@@wasamattr That may well be. But if you record and publish a promotional video wouldn't you try to let it sound as perfectly as possible? At least I would do that.
"Most of the time I'm not". Legend :) And the nicest guy ever.

I remember watching him warm up on a towel. This is a big advancement. 😂
This should be a durability test ad for Yamaha... we all have seen how hard this man hits hah!
Lol
He uses a brand new one each concert. 😂😂😂 After the warm up, it probably is not usable anymore. 😂😂😂
EAD10 killing it, even 7 years since its release date (2017)
Our boy Eloy Bighouse, amazing experience in Knotfest Brazil, Yamaha chose the best !!!
You’re a true inspiration to me as a drummer and musician, very cool you use ekit consistently. Can’t wait to see you live with Slipknot!
01:22 Those Yamaha pedals are very popular. Built like a tank. 😂
Grande Eloy🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
We need to give him a phoenix kit!
Se essa bateria aguenta o Eloy, ela aguenta qlqr coisa. Preciso de uma!
Eloy join the Yamaha family, it's the best equipment, reliable and comfortable pedals.
*How much? For the kit? No, for playing it as Eloy.*
For the EAD10, if I wanted to use a 3 zone Yamaha snare pad, would the snare trigger input support all 3 zones or just 2?
He taught chuck Norris how to play drums
So on this one you don't hit that hard right? 😆
Loves from BRASIL!
I want some.
nosso eloy
if I was Eloy and I got a call saying the Slipknot gig was open - the first thing i'd ask is - well why did you dismiss Jay ?
I think anyone would but Eloy is so humble and respectful so I doubt he would care too much about something that isn't necessarily his business
Do you think he uses the kick trigger on the EAD 10 for his drum cam videos or is that the mic picking it up?
On his old youtube videos recorded with EAD10 he always said "no triggers" in the description, so it's possible he disabled the trigger. But we'll never know for sure
Eloy doesn't use trigger at all
🇧🇷
Pretty funny when you think about it. “We give Eloy his practice drums not his real drums”
Op drummer op brand🤌🏻
eloy x Yamaha 💪🏻💥
Eloy & The Slipknots
Dwams!
Love Yamaha Foam heads feels like running on sand... a little less bounce makes you work a little harder.
Tama hardware writings wiped in some ways. 😅
good enough? bro
it's 2024... how do e-drums still sound so bad?
Literally just team up with a drum sampling company
The combination of his “drum athlete” style and the compression of electronic drum sounds so unnatural and unmusical to me.
