Imo, the best zombie game alongside dying light. SoD2 gives you the walking dead experience with communities and survivors. SoD3 will be well worth the wait.

I'm replaying state of decay 2 now because of the state of decay 3 trailer at the showcase recently. forgot how good this game actually was. I don't think I appreciated it full like I did until my current play through. it's truly a blast of a game, especially if you can easily ignore the downfalls.
I just found this gem yesterday (6-5-24) WOW. If anyone is contemplating trying this, do it. It’s what a zombie survival game is supposed to be. Driving is solid, gunplay is fun. Each weapon & vehicle has personality, the world(s) are diverse and I’ve only put in maybe 10 hours but it was immediately apparent that there are multiple ways to play. It’s a rather liberating video game experience! Full transparency, I downloaded it like 6 months ago but didn’t make it 5 minutes in before I misjudged it. I thought it was going to be a clunky linear game but it’s quite the opposite. Very fun!

@@sauceomegaming good games deserve attention and like myself, I’m sure plenty misjudged so if I can help, I’m all in lol.. so SOD3 trailer was released yesterday at Xbox showcase, I’m so glad I started playing 2 beforehand, made the memorial but so impactful! I have a theory on that I’d like to discuss.. I think they may include a sort of ‘friendship’ meter. Potentially with ‘skill tree’ style relationship (after maxing, choose romantic/best friend/other) Again, this is just my theory after seeing what they’ve already done, things that are possible within their direction, things they’ve spoke about trying & analysis of trailer. Also, zombie bears? 👀 😭
There’s so many different ways to play this game. Even as a veteran of the game I can find ways to keep playing it. I’ve recently started a fresh community and going to try and beat it using melee weapons only.
I still play it often. Mostly in my Forever community. I just keep restarting the map lol. But I will say SOD3 is probably my most anticipated game of all time. I can’t wait to get some concrete news and gameplay footage!
I haven't played since they nerfed the haven device. I'm considering jumping back in, but with all the changes, I hope the game is still enjoyable. It almost seems like a different game now. State of Decay 2.5. Lol.
The only thing i hate is the forced plague heart territories and i wish they would add an option for it used to play this as a chill game loot and take the hearts at my own pace now im somewhat forced to target hearts faster then i want

I love it. Funny enough I find it relaxing! Don't get me wrong, I feel the pain of death... but I just love putting an hour or two in this world when the real one stresses me out! It's never the same experience!
Considering how cheap that game is, everyone who hasn't played it yet should certainly give it a try. I've played it for about 200 hours if not more but even a just playing until you've seen all the endings should take you at least 50 hours.

It has changed a lot. I love finding and developing characters, and that is still a great part of the game.

That is a valid opinion. You gotta kill hearts to get outposts in areas you want to loot.
