To fix break pedal to reach 100% you dont need to remove the rubber. On PC just type 'set up usb game controller' in search bar and you can calibrate break pedal there so that 100% is wherever you want it to be. You wont need to press that hard basically.
Getting to the tail end of 2023 now. Picked up a G920 and shifter for $199 USD from a Black Friday ad. Thanks for posting this vid, it was a big help in figuring out which wheel setup I wanted to get.
4:46 actually it is in regard to race cars and super cars. F1 drivers are the best example of this. Most drivers will never ever be able to use 100% brake in an F1 and I feel its safe to assume any high powered vehicle will have similar effects. Would be cool if the bite/poundage changed by the car!
The G920 is a great entry level wheel, pedal and optional shifter set-up BUT, like ALL games, it takes a bit of setting-up and calibrating before you can get the Full benefit and enjoyment out of it !! Again, same with ALL Sim Rigs, ALL games need to be calibrated and set-up properly to get the most and best from both the wheel and whatever game you're playing.....You can change the button lay-out to better suit your style and comfort !! I've been using one for a few years now (and still do)and I couldn't be happier for the price range.....The main games I play are the F1 games, the Forza Horizon and Motorsport games, Project Cars 2, the World Rally Cross (WRC) games along with a few others. I originally bought it to use on my Xbox One-X but I've been soo happy with it and really dialled-in the calibration and settings over the years along with getting used to how it all plays and feels that I've kept it and continue to use it on my Xbox Series-X.....I've got it bolted to a racing rig and seat and the only thing I've changed on it all is the Gear Knob on the Shifter as I felt that the actual knob itself felt cheap and tacky thus letting-down the rest of the set-up. I've been driving and racing in real life myself for over 20yrs so I know what things should feel like and how things should respond and trust me, you just need to have some patience and take the time to dial-in ALL the options and calibration settings, and I mean testing, tweaking and playing with each little bit every time you play in ALL the games you play with it, and over time it gets better and better until you get each game set and then each game feels like a new game.....Like I said, you have to do this with ALL Sim Set-Ups and this one is no different BUT if you're not prepared to give it the time OR you don't know how the cars should be handling and feeling then maybe a Sim Racing set-up isn't for you !!! Anyway, Sorry for the long reply but I just don't agree with the things you said because the issues you stated can all be solved and simply improved by tweaking the in-game options and wheel calibration settings in each game.....The only thing I sort-of agree with is, to see if you can find it on sale somewhere instead of paying full retail price BUT don't bother with 2nd-hand as there's a lot of people that don't look after them and/or they've been used a lot and don't work quite right but to the untrained player they won't know if it's working right or not, o you'll be better off buying a new one on sale. I hope this helps someone as it's improved my gaming a LOT over the years, enoyed my games more and over-all it''s helped me to get-in to the Sim Racing World.....I'll never use a controller to play a racing / driving game again !! EDIT: If you or anyone would like some calibration tips, I'd be happy to help ok !?
@@masterr190 No it's not at-all, you just need to tweak a few settings, so that the pressure you apply still hits 100% without you having to stand on the pedal each time, simply keep adjusting the settings so you're comfortably hitting 100% as it depends how strong each persons legs are and how hard you want to be pressing the pedal on each corner (there's a pressure meter that'll help you in the options menu) then once you get them adjusted right, in-game, then the pedal actually feels pretty similar to a real car, as over time (the more you play and use it) the little rubber block that logitech added to the brake pedal actually softens down a little bit, which helps to make it feel even better. A real car brake pedal doesn't travel all the way to the floor (it doesn't travel that far at-all if you're brakes are good and actually less in an F1 car) and it's a little spongey turning-hard when pressing full pressure.....Mine feels very similar to this after a little tweaking and trial & error play testing. Hope this helps !? If you'd like, I can post my brake settings here for you a bit later when I get back home.....Let me know but obviously everyone's legs are different like I said.
I got a Logitech G920 a few weeks ago that is after trying the Thrustmaster T248 and The Logitech G923 I took them back as they felt horrible to use and there were alot of compatability issues with alot of games. The G920 seems to have more realistic force feedback feel and pedals are great once u pull the rubber bit out of the break. Definitely worth buying in 2022.
I managed to get a refurb option on logitech site for only 160 bucks. People really pushing towards the thrustermaster $400 option but this is my first wheel so i think it'll serve me well.
If the brake pedal is attached to your setup or otherwise immobile it is possible to get 100% braking, but that shows how much force is necessary. If you try otherwise you'll probably move the entire pedal board lol.
Only thing with "not getting value" people dont think about how hard actual racing is. This wheel can get you into racing but people still need to be told it takes a looot of practice to actual get decent not to mention super good.
Picked up one easily online thanks for the advise! There is heap on there. $120 AUD barely used. I like the brake I rarely brake beyond 30% braking depending on the vehicle
I just bought it on a deal for 162 dollars, without the shifter. I am very happy with this deal, considering that here in Brazil, these steering wheels are pretty overpriced, even for a used one.
If you using it on any Forza game I recommend lowering the sensitivity as the default is way to high and feels way to Arcady and the driving is much more satisfying when you actually have to turn the wheel.

@@no_name2882 tnxI don't think so, because the Xbox controller itself does not have this problem! If there was a problem with the television, there was definitely a delay in the controller

Is the Logictech G920 meant to be set up at a desk or table? We just bought an Xbox S and are getting into driving games like Forza and Wreckfest on the television and are finding it does not feel realistic using the Xbox controller. And do you have to use the gear shifter? For example, can a younger player use the paddle shifters or no shifter at all? Thank you!
The wheel can be set up on either a desk, table, or Cockpit setup. It depends which is best for you w/ your Desk location and proximity from the TV. You don't need the Gear shifter either. The paddles by themselves work great!
I bought mine in 2020 for a hundred dollar bill brand new in the box some teenager got it for Christmas and didn't play it once got a motorcycle and wanted money for parts
Yeah just from a long time user of the g920 after about 1500 hours of assetto I have been having issues with the center gear cutting the wires that run to the buttons on the wheel just had to solder them back together it the cable rests on the sharp edge and over time it cut through the heat shrink around the cable and then the wires
You have to make your own, take it apart, find the A button solder points, hook up wires to that, then solder that to a switch, and find a handbrake set up at a junk yard and attach that to a peice of wood and make sure there is a tab on that to hit the switch or button when you pull the handbrake up. Thats what I would do and probably will down the road.
f1 car takes up to 150kg to reach 100% on the brakes... just saying. also, brake boosters aren't allowed in some catagories so it can take 80+ kg to reach full brake force. I have these peddles and 40Kg seems fair for 100% taking realisim into consideration

This wheel retailed for $400 without the shifter back in 2016 when first released. Now I just got one from Amazon for €230 ($250), which I find very reasonable. Buying preowned is not that much cheaper (like $50) and you don't know what you're getting. Not worth going second hand IMHO.
Same in my country. Not worth buying preowned, I just got it new in Amazon for €230 without the shifter which I don't like so not buying separetly (€45).

I bought mine in 2020 for a hundred dollar bill brand new in the box some teenager got it for Christmas and didn't play it once got a motorcycle and wanted money for parts
WHAT A DEAL!!
Yeah just from a long time user of the g920 after about 1500 hours of assetto I have been having issues with the center gear cutting the wires that run to the buttons on the wheel just had to solder them back together it the cable rests on the sharp edge and over time it cut through the heat shrink around the cable and then the wires
Can you play simulators with this wheel for example bus simulator or taxi simulator?
Hi, What is the best handbreak suitable for the G920? And how much does it cost?
i read somewhere that the g920 doesnt support a handbrake
@@mr.adkins5285 no
g920 support handbrake, but if you using pc..
@@Teknakillor or or here me out spend 70$ on a eBay hand break and don’t do all that 😭
@@Krymzen Well that would be alot easier!
Can u buy the gear shifter separately after buying just the wheel and the pedals???
Yes you can!
f1 car takes up to 150kg to reach 100% on the brakes... just saying. also, brake boosters aren't allowed in some catagories so it can take 80+ kg to reach full brake force. I have these peddles and 40Kg seems fair for 100% taking realisim into consideration
How much did it cost for the wheel and pedals?
$150 USD - Used
Is the steering wheel and all the stuff that comes with it all wireless?
Not wireless, watch through the video
Do I go on Amazon looking or do you have other places to find one
Facebook Marketplace or other swap & sell services can give good results
Thanks 👍
What’s the turning radius on the wheel? 180, 360, 540, 900?
Regularly 900, but can be adjusted lower
Thanks for the response
Set it for 540 in ghub for Forza. If you like to slide and rally it is so much better imo.
@@pasteghost428 i was gonna use it for carx but I decided not to get one atm
Hi I've just bought one of these gaming systems and trying to set it up for this game but not having much luck with it can you help?
So would you recommend the 920 over the the newer 923. Also I’ve heard a lot of people having problems with the pedals as the senses fail
Depens purely on price. I wouldn't recommend the G920 at retail
Hi is this wheel very sensitive,it’s for my 10 year old son and last one he had the wheel was way to sensitive when turning the wheel
Ik that the force feedback is much more sensitive , however you can turn it down
Are there any delays when using the wheel?
There should not be noticeable Input Latency when using the wheel
Hi, just got a g920 to use on pc. Is there any way to get the xbox buttons (A,B,X,Y) showing in the menus while using the wheel? Its literally the only reason I bought the g920 😭
You'll have to use your regular controller when navigating through the menus to get A,B,X,Y
@@cameronvanhooft thats so disappointing, especially since the 920 is supposed to be for xbox as well 🙁
@@bade10 why would you buy this specific one for the Xbox controls tho?
@@goobles64 because i wanted a SIM that my family could play when I'm not around, as they aren't familiar with what buttons to press. Having the correct labels would have helped
Basically my cable the main one what connects to the Xbox is ripping when it's on the table I don't want to break it
Found it used for 275$ cad, don't know if thats a good price for used but its bearly used at all the guy did like yoy said and just bought it used it once or twice and never used it again but considering its over 450$ with tax at stores and amazon i guess its a good price?
If he's barely used it then I'd say it's a good deal, better than paying RRP!
nope you could have got it for about $150-180
A brand new G29 (only wheel and pedal) in my country is around 260-270 usd. Is it considered overprice?
no, in mine its 280
This wheel retailed for $400 without the shifter back in 2016 when first released. Now I just got one from Amazon for €230 ($250), which I find very reasonable. Buying preowned is not that much cheaper (like $50) and you don't know what you're getting. Not worth going second hand IMHO.
I got it with the shifter for 330 with free shipping
A bit late but can you change the clutch peddle to e brake for drifting?
Pretty sure you can remap everything
W driver cant wait for mine
I dont know how i got this for 70 dollars
How in the hell did you even pull that off
@@District_keenu read the first 4 words of his comment again
I have read a lot reviews saying the steering making a lot of noise.
It does, but if you where headphones it won’t matter
i subbed!
I use one on my sim setup. Love it! I also use a custom lut file. Game changer! I've also done what @wetpenguin suggested below. It works!
Is it available for Xbox series x?
Yes, it’s available for Xbox, PC, and PlayStation.
do any of you have any suggestions on where to buy it used?
Check Facebook Marketplace in your local area, that's what I did to get my wheel
Does anyone know if it’s comparable with need for speed?
Is the Thrustmaster tmx pro better?
Yes but Logitech released new direct drive wheel so things will change.
@@ozgurkuzu2202 yes but at what coast?
@@Joseph-yo9ns 1000 Usd.Too expensive in my country Turkey but worth buying for sure.
Is there any delay when using it in game?
Why the hell would there be a delay? Its a controller, not audio.
@@Teknakillit's called input latency. Hopefully there's none with this wheel.
i got it in 100 with shifter in a very clean condition
I clicked on this video because I wanted to listen to that sexy Aussie accent.
Well thats a first for me 😂
Guess it's time to tap into that only fans revenue stream
The only reason why im getting a un used g29/g920 is because if i buy a used one the seller could scam me and give me a broken steering wheel
I needed to know which wheel to buy so I could play some Minecraft with the boys also have the same desk as you:)
in my country g29 is 250 when used is 200, so idk if its worth buying used one to save 50euro
It's your call, that price difference is quite small
Same in my country. Not worth buying preowned, I just got it new in Amazon for €230 without the shifter which I don't like so not buying separetly (€45).
