Starter Motor Replacement - FC RX7 EP8

- Spent a couple hours working on the FC over the long weekend, starting with removing the rest of the window tint and swapping out my faulty starter motor with a good one.
There should be some more FC content coming over the next couple weeks as i target some other areas that have been annoying me.

Alright so I just got a 88' FC rx7 and we decided to replace the starter cuz it's been previously sitting for about 8 years, the last starter was seized and this one, when we when to crank it didnt work, do you think it's a wiring issue? Or electrical? Or completely different?
I think the last starter for a Rotary i brought, from ashdown, was a 2kw one, was around $320
That's not too bad at all really vs what it'll cost to rebuild the old one
