I mean I think "mid range" refers to their current lineup, which it is. xx50 - xx70 are usually considered the mid range while xx70ti - xx90ti are considered enthusiast grade. Of course considering all GPU options, yes the 4070 is on the higher end
I've seen a bunch of reviews for this card today, and this was the most useful. Real world games played on real world hardware by someone whose opinions I respect.
Oooo! Congratulations on the review sample mate! 🎉 I'm happy that you're covering these now as well 😃 Also, good job on the video, you beat me by 1 game! Ahaha

Nice to see the 8-pin connector on a RTX 40er card! 🙂 A good card for 1440p and sometimes 4k, but the price of these are still to high. I stick with my RX 6700XT a little longer.
What a leap! From testing GTX 470 to RTX 4070! Amazing performance, for sure. Congratulations on 500k subs! I remember trying Quake with RT on RTX 2060 and was barely playable🤣
Didn't believe my eyes at first, but it's true! RGiHD is getting review samples and reviewing hardware day one. So happy for you mate, you definitely deserved it!!
Another great video, surprised to see you testing out higher-end cards this time around, but congrats! Expected somewhat better performance from a next-gen card, especially at $100 more than the 3070, but great performance nonetheless. The lower power consumption is also something nice to see. Would love to see the card's ray tracing performance in some games, perhaps at 4K.

we're probably a similar age, but seeing this channel get review samples feels like watching your child grow up... great video, and a much more informative one with the i5 12400F
My first GPU was a GTX 750 1gb GDDR5 card. Before buying it I looked online to find any videos of this peasant card, to see how it differs from the GTX 750Ti. You were the only channel to post a comparison video at that time between those two & been following you ever since. Glad to see you've grown so much to get a card from Nvidia & good luck on future endeavors!!!
Be nice to see some comparisons to other video cards but I understand this is your first..... From the other reviews, I watched it's getting 6800 XT performance... For $10 more than the 4070, you can get a 6950 XT. Why are people buying Nvidia? I mean I bought the 4090 going from the Radeon R9 295x but if this was my budget I wouldn't even consider Nvidia
There's a whole lot of people who are unknowledgeable about the difference between Nvidia and AMD. They've heard that AMD crashes a lot with drivers issue (2016 thing) and Nvidia is the greatest in every aspect, and only that is the thing they remember, they don't know AMD is doing fantastic in mid-range cards with prices and VRAM size, those same people have no idea what VRAM is and what's it's purpose. They go out on reddit and ask people what to upgrade next, being told that Nvidia GPU (name any gpu) should be their next upgrade because it's fantastic for gaming and video editing, recording etc... It's true, but they forgot to mention that the price is insanely high and that low amount of VRAM is gonna take a hit. Not to consider as well that other people have different needs. Some play more games, some do some editing/AI things. Both AMD and Nvidia are doing great in games, but Nvidia takes the lead in AI/editing type of programs much better, while AMD wins in price.
Man, I really like the way you summarise performance with GPUs. You always have the right testing idea; put it through the wringer (it'll obviously perform better at lower resolutions). Glad to know you're getting samples now, you deserve it!
Thank you for this video so many other channels show 3 games and expect us to understand how the performance is from that i know i could look up the dedicated game but still good video

Lad, I've been watching your videos for years. I never thought you had now like 500K subs, cos it seems like such a small, cozy channel. Never lose that quality mate.
As far as frame generation tests go...the raw FPS numbers are easier to quantify, but I'm more curious as to how it (negatively) effects the picture quality. You're the only RUclipsr I'd trust with this info. I'm not kissing your butt here either. The other tech channels that I occasionally peruse don't mention frame generation having (or not having) a negative impact on picture quality. Which seems kinda ominous to me. Did you notice image quality degradation or extra artifacts with frame generation turned on? Thanks for the truly unbiased, impartial review. (Seriously, my lips are nowhere near your cheeks. Being a value conscious gamer, I trust your statements)
