Just got a 2024 389 605HP with 18sp Endurant XD Pro automated transmission. It’s pulling 140,000 lb of grain trailers. OMG this truck operates even better than we were hoping. For the life of me, I have no idea why you would ever want a manual trans. This transmission is smooth as butter!!!
I like easy'n on down the road i don't care about changing gears anymore since I'm older so a tractor with good speed and pulling power is fine with me in an automatic

I have asked this SAME QUESTION from other Peterbilt dealers on other youtube site about having a no window option on the sleeper ,& after a 2 YEAR wait for an answer I STILL have not got a positive or negative answer for a simple question ,Just a cade of we'll look into it & get back to ya, with NO further contact afterwards.
I'm not sure I understand your question. For the 78 inch sleeper, your only option is side windows. For the 44 inch, 58 inch and 72 inch sleeper your only option is a rear window. Why they do it that way, I'm not sure.

@@WileE.Coyote That's a great question. I know on the 78 inch sleeper with Platinum interior, the side windows are standard. You MIGHT be able to get the 78 inch Sleeper with Prestige interior without side windows. I would have to check on that. The other difficult thing is the factory is sold out for the year and I don't know anyone that has build slots available, so getting your 389 with 78 inch sleeper without windows will be difficult to accomplish before the factory stops making them at the end of the year.
Factory only gives us one size for the fridge. Plenty of options to upgrade to a larger after market fridge. We can add an APU very easily. The two APUs we add most often are ThermoKing and Carrier. If you are serious about getting a 389, give me a call 817-504-7220. This Gunmetal 389 is sold but we have another Tantalizing Turquoise 389 Automatic available (video will go up soon) and the Legendary Black with Viper Red Frame 389 with 18 Speed Manual. Both are on the ground, ready to roll.
It took WAY too long for them to move the gear selector to the steering column. The selector in the floor was the most horrid design of any automatic truck.

the automatic transmission leaves 1 hand free so you can vape and adjust your nose ring while your driving

@@Mack5703 we sell more 389s with manual transmission. However, automatics have become more popular over the last several years.
What’s wrong with Automatic? I been driving 27 years and switching to Automatic is such a relief specially in the city in heavy traffic…
