I've been a Doctor Who fan nearly all my life since the 1970s when i was little and I don't understand why then these brilliant music video documentaries "The Doctor Who Years - The Sixties, Seventies and Eighties" which i have watched a number of times in the past on a big screen at various DWAS aka "The Doctor Who Appreciation Society" Conventions. Why, then all of these documentaries were not included as standard on the Special Features releases of the classic Doctor Who DVD range they should of been in my opinion.
I have been a fan of doctor who since 2018 and i got into classic Dr who in 2019 how ever it wasn't until I fell in love the first doctor era in December 2020 and the second doctor era also in December 2020 and the third doctor ers in December 2020 that my life would change from a huge fan of new who to a huge fan of classic dr who
Thank you so much for remastering this! It brings back memories of watching The Doctor Who Years on the official website, as well as hearing many 60s pop hits for the first time (including one of my favourite Beatles songs She Loves You).
Oh god, I remember watching these in that RM player on the Doctor Who website in...another lifetime! Are you planning to also remaster 70s and 80s? It looks really great!
These videos were made years ago, I believe it was Diamonda Hagan that first uploaded them? Anyway, they went through each decade of Classic Who with music from that decade playing, much as you see here. They’re actually quite a good primer for anyone interested in Classic Who, giving viewers a chance to see all the stories that were made over its long history. Would actually be nice if someone could continue the series beyond the ‘80s and present NuWho with popular tracks from the 2000s and 2010s…but at least ONE of those videos ought to include some Gorillaz tracks in the lineup as they are DEFINITELY classic to these times! 😅😁
Can understand why auntie can't show it as the royalty police would screw them big time. I still pay my TV licence as for the price of a pint of beer a week I'm getting a shitload of entertainment without having to watch ada or sell my data to the CIA

Superb work at recreating this - I echo everyone else in hoping that you'll do the other 2! :)
Be warned, I have just had the seventies and eighties videos taken down due to copyright due to the original producer.
Have the 70s and 80s gone again?
