- It’s the home stretch! One more sleep and I can go have a life for a few weeks.
It’s mentally draining going in and out so frequently, I think I’d handle it a lot better if I didn’t
Have so much resentment for not living whilst I’m home, so this next few weeks I’m going to be making
An extra effort to go and do something cool. I deserve it and I’m not afraid to say that! I’ve worked hard mentally
And physically to get through these last few weeks to not even feel that great, but I’ll push through to tick a few
More bits off the adventure bucket list!
Sleep and nutrition are so important for the body when it is fighting illness, and yet hospitals don't provide it. I also hate the whole 'they're worked off their feet, be patient'. We are prescribed treatments for a reason and when we don't get them on time we are the ones who suffer. I was in hospital for 4 weeks for uncontrolled seizures. For the first 3 weeks they watched me seize and counted how long each lasted. During the last week I actually had tests and started treatment. People say we are fortunate to have the NHS. To a degree perhaps, but negligence is not unheard of. I know with Cystic Fibrosis, unfortunately hospital is a second home for you. I wish that they could make the stay more pleasant and comfortable for you and others who have to spend a lot of time there. I hope you're okay. Is there any talk of a transplant at the moment? much love x

I totally relate on the hospital showers !!!!!!! Unfortunately I never have my own... That would be luxury! Often I have to share a loo too as Exeter rooms don't have their own toilets often.. 😣
Thankfully it was funded by a cf patients family so we have a cf side room. But still have my shower issue haha🧼
Stalling discharge. Very relatable. So infuriating. Happens every time for me. Disorganisation is rife in the NHS 😅
