Happy birthday Jet. Just my opinion but I'd take anything the medical profession says with a grain of salt. They treat everyone as a generalisation/stereotype rather than an individual that can have subjective outcomes. You may have touched on this in a previous video and hopefully not too much of a stupid question but Trikafta wasn't an option?

Hi Jet. Glad you are doing ”okay”& your bike 🏍️🏍️ rides look awesome…but where are your leathers to keep you safe should something untoward happen, heaven forbid of course. That would be the last thing you need. That is one thing I wish I had done before my head got so bad that it would be torture to ride a vibrating, noisy motorcycle rather than pleasure. I have just spent 2 weeks on IVs in my new CF hospital…Royal Devon and Exeter…I haven’t been in hospital in 3.5 years so it was somewhat of a shock when I found myself struggling for breath🫁. I did post a piece (or whatever its called) on my experience and how shit I had felt. I got home on Fri night and have yet to sleep so am shattered. Never had any more than about an hours sleep during the day…so I need sleep!!!💤💤💤 I was pleasantly surprised and delighted with my new CF team as well as the staff on the respiratory ward I was on..always had a smile for me and some really awesome discussions. One of the CF doctors was so funny and immediately put me at ease…for me that is ultra important. Also, the entire team that were seeing me on the ward completely understood how difficult, painful and irritating my head issues are…because they took the time to listen to me. Don’t you agree? And their food was great unlike the crap I got previously. Your brekkies looked awesome and those crabs…wow! I hope you managed to go away and create more memories. Take 1 day at a time, 1 step at a time…,pace yourself.💜💜💜 All the best fellow CF Warrior💜

Hey, pretty lady! I just want to say that your attitude is amazing! I was diagnosed at age 2 in Germany (US Army dad) and just turned 47. I have a 13 year old son, and the diabetes part was my biggest complication during pregnancy. I had several bad years before pregnancy, but after that I have been surprisingly pretty well. Sending you love, prayers, good juju, whatever you believe in to get yourself better!!!

I'm so sorry people have judged you so harshly because of not being able to handle this medication! It's awfully sad to me that people are so clueless that they make sweeping assumptions about someone just because they don't know the whole situation, don't walk in your shoes, maybe don't even have CF, or aren't a medical professional who works with those who do. My heart goes out to you. I completely understand why you stopped taking it--both for the TB drug you needed and your own mental health. I just found your videos a bit ago--this is only my second. Thank you for sharing your situation. I'm praying for you, that something can be found to help find an alternative for Kaftrio.

When I was born my father was very sick. Let me tell you every memory I have of him is fun. Like the time we dressed up as mice to scare my mom who is afraid of mice. The time we spent the entire day at a BBQ on the beach. Little things ... 40 years later I look back and I am so greatful he made those memories with me with intention because I still hold them all close to my heart.

Have you heard about the gastric pacemaker? I wondered if it might be an option if your bowel motility declines more I have cerebral palsy and have had dismotility for years and had a resection due to blockage about 8 years ago . I wasn’t a candidate for the pacemaker and I am experiencing problems with the remaining bowel I have. I went to a school for children with medical needs. We had several kids with CF and one of my closest friends passed away when she was 13. I am so glad that life expectancy has improved and I was happy and sad about kaftro coming along as I wish that my friends had lived long enough to try it if you had lung transplants some lived a few years and one lived over a decade. I know transplant with CF is very challenging and the experiences I can talk about or from many years ago now. I am about to go and watch your video about Kaftrio as I’ve seen accounts of some people who cannot take it also and I think it was build a miracle for everybody and it must be very difficult in that case. I hope you manage to get the help you need.

Sleep and nutrition are so important for the body when it is fighting illness, and yet hospitals don't provide it. I also hate the whole 'they're worked off their feet, be patient'. We are prescribed treatments for a reason and when we don't get them on time we are the ones who suffer. I was in hospital for 4 weeks for uncontrolled seizures. For the first 3 weeks they watched me seize and counted how long each lasted. During the last week I actually had tests and started treatment. People say we are fortunate to have the NHS. To a degree perhaps, but negligence is not unheard of. I know with Cystic Fibrosis, unfortunately hospital is a second home for you. I wish that they could make the stay more pleasant and comfortable for you and others who have to spend a lot of time there. I hope you're okay. Is there any talk of a transplant at the moment? much love x
