🇪🇸 RÁPIDO 620 GIJÓN-BARCELONA
El 30 de septiembre de 1979 se ponía en servicio un nuevo servicio directo entre Gijón y Barcelona, se trataba del tren rápido electrotrén Gijón-Barcelona.
A partir del 27 de septiembre de 1981, el servicio pasó a realizarse con los coches CORAIL alquilados a Francia. En mayo de 1982 se sustituyeron los coches CORAIL por los nuevos coches de la serie 9000, todos ellos de pasillo central y con buena climatización.
El tren cambió su número a rápido 620, el recorrido había pasado ya a 1126 km en los que invertía 14 horas con una velocidad máxima de 140 km/h. La salida desde Gijón se realizaba a las 7:15 horas con la llegada a Barcelona Sants a las 21:16. El tren realizaba su recorrido por Venta de Baños, Miranda de Ebro, Castejón de Ebro, Tarragona y San Vicenç de Calders. El regreso se realizaba como RÁPIDO 623 con salida de Barcelona Sants a las 07:40 horas y llegada a Gijón a las 22:16 horas.
La composición estándar se formaba con una locomotora 251 a la salida de Gijón, seguida de un coche de segunda clase BB-9200, un coche de primera clase AA-9100, en medio se situaba el coche cafetería BBR-9800 y finalmente dos coches de segunda clase BB-9200.
En Venta de Baños se cambiaba la locomotora 251 por una locomotora eléctrica serie 279, que circulaba hasta Alsasua, donde otra locomotora eléctrica serie 269.5 del depósito de Casa Antúnez se encargaba de remolcar el tren hasta Barcelona, pero eso ya será en otro vídeo..

On September 30th 1979, a new direct service between Gijón and Barcelona was put into service, it was the Rápido Electrotren Gijón-Barcelona.
From 27th September 1981, the service was carried out with CORAIL cars rented in France. In May 1982 the CORAIL cars were replaced by the new cars of the 9000 series, all of them with a centre aisle and good air conditioning.
The train changed its number to Rapido 620, the route had already passed to 1126 km in which it invested 14 hours with a maximum speed of 140 km/h. The departure from Gijón was at 7:15 am with the arrival at Barcelona Sants at 21:16. The train travelled through Venta de Baños, Miranda de Ebro, Castejón de Ebro, Tarragona and San Vicenç de Calders. The return was made as RAPIDO 623 with departure from Barcelona Sants at 07:40 hours and arrival in Gijón at 22:16.
The standard composition was set with a 251 series locomotive at the departuring from Gijón, followed by a second-class car BB-9200, a first-class car AA-9100, in the middle was the cafeteria car BBR-9800 and finally two second-class cars BB-9200.
In Venta de Baños, the 251 series locomotive was chamged for a series 279 series locomotive, which traveled to Alsasua, where another 269.5 series locomotive from the Casa Antúnez warehouse was in charge of towing the train to Barcelona, but that will be in another video.
