Can’t believe they took so long to pick her. I genuinely thought she was top 10. We gon’ be hearing ALOT about her in the next few years regardless of her pick. This girl is insane.

They understood the assignment
I watched the whole draft and they did not skip everyone between 7 and 14. I know for a fact that 1-12 were all on the stage. The only people skipped were 2 of the 3 international players (both French and back to back), very few people who weren't there and at the end 19-23 I believe and they showed #24.

It depends on what the team needs. You have seen the draft. I am just so happy that Seattle picked her. The team needed a defense oriented, awesome passer point guard just like Sue Bird. I hope she does well during training and crack the roster.
@@pinaypaparazzi6231 Yeah, there were a lot of other girls that were just taller than her that got the assignment. But big isn't always better, she has fast hands and feet and can shoot pull up 3's. I'm sure she will do well wherever she lands.

Nika was getting some not so nice comments early in the season by some supposed UCONN “fans” but those of us who knew at the time those comments were ridiculous are smiling even bigger now seeing her shine in the well deserved spotlight of success she has worked hard to achieve. She’s special and I am so happy for her- what she has done and will do. Go Nika!!!
This is one of the most underrated picks of all time! This is like getting Jokic with the 42nd!

What is crazy is she wasn't drafted much higher. I watched every game she played. Then watched replays over and over and over.... One of the only players to ever totally lock down the #1 all time scorer CC not once but twice. She did the same thing to virtually everyone she guarded. Much the reason her undersized and vastly shorthanded team made it into the final four! It isn't all about scoring or shot blocking! Her court vision and player IQ make her one of a kind. She does it all and elevates her entire team while doing so. Playing against Nika is like poking a wild badger, get ready for everything to get gnarly quickly. Cause now you got her full attention.
They made a really good choice. The Storm got really lucky…she should have gone even higher.

I followed this class very closely and it’s kind was exciting to seen them get drafted hopefully they don’t get cut.

She is so beautiful just as a lady, Seattle got lucky to get her at 14. Her and Kate Martin are my Favorite players, probably just because they were second fiddle to Paige and C.C. Yes I like C.C and Paige, Paige actually is who got me watching D 1 women's basketball when she was still at Hopkins and I heard Geno was showing up to games and recruited her. I've always loved Paige's game, and next year some body is going to get one of the greatest players ever again.
