Traveling Arrow hi! I recently gotten back into the game with a blue eyes deck my big bro help me build. However I'm looking for another deck to try as (at least for now.) I'm putting my dark magician deck on hold. Any recommendations?

well that was quite fun. One of the reasons as to why I'm picking up Dark Magician and now Dark Magician Girl (this card for the first time for me).
That last turn was nothing short of a Miracle.

I'm working on a dark magician deck myself with my only extra deck monster at the time being dark paladin. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any cards for my deck I'll put a list of the ones I have down below. Btw great duel guys I hope I can duel with you eventually with my blue eyes deck.
Dark paladin, Chaos Zone, DsD dark magician, Magician of dark illusion, dark magician girl x2, dark magic attack, dark magic expanded, dark renewal, thousand knives, dark magic curtain, x2 regular dark magicians, book of moon, and dark magical circle.
2:00 that's the eye of Timias! With it you can fusion summon a verity of different monsters related to the dark magicians! Including dark magician girl the dragon knight!
Hmm... I see what you are going for, and you do have a good start. Here are some cards that I think you should add to your Dark Magician Deck:
1) *Palladium Oracle Mahad* - When you draw that card, you can Special Summon it from your hand. Also, you want to use Mahad, especially against DARK monsters, because Mahad's Attack points (which are 2500) will DOUBLE when attacking DARK monsters! It may just be during the Damage Step, but it really comes in handy. Also, when Mahad is destroyed, you can Special Summon Dark Magician from either the GY, Deck, or hand.
2) *Dark Magical Circle* - This is a Continuous Spell card that will come in handy. When you activate that card, you can search the top 3 cards of your deck. If you find either a Dark Magician OR a Spell/Trap card that lists Dark Magician, you can add that card to your hand. Whether or not you find one of those cards, you can rearrange the cards in any way you want before placing them on top of your deck. The other good thing about this card is that whenever you special summon Dark Magician, you can banish ANY card your opponent controls. So if your opponent has a Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, you can get rid of that with Dark Magical Circle.
3) *Apprentice Illusion Magician* - This is a VERY rare card, but if you decide to use it, you may get your money's worth. It's like Dark Magician Girl with being a level 6 monster, and having 2000 ATK and 1700 DEF, but its effects are much different. You see, you can special summon that girl from your hand by discarding 1 card. Also, if you manage to get her out onto the field, you can add Dark Magician from your deck to your hand. But, here's the best part: if you have another DARK Spellcaster monster battling an opponent's monster, you can send Apprentice Illusion Magician from your Hand or from your side of the field to the GY in order to give the battling monster an extra 2000 ATK/DEF during Damage Calculation!
4) *Eternal Soul* - Use that during your opponent's turn like I did AND when you already have a Dark Magician in your GY. But be careful, because if that card leaves the field, then all your monsters are destroyed.
5) *The Eye of Timaeus* - You can use that to get your Dark Paladin, OR Amulet Dragon, Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight, or Dark Magician the Dragon Knight.
6) *Ebon Illusion Magician* - If you wanna try to put an XYZ Monster into your deck, you should try using that one. With that, you can detach one of the XYZ material to special summon from either your hand or Deck a Spellcaster NORMAL monster (obviously, Dark Magician). And if you have Dark Magical Circle, that will come in handy! But also, if you declare an attack with a Spellcaster Normal Monster, Ebon can allow you to target an opponent's card and banish it!
If you decide to get these cards, I hope they'll come in handy!

I figured I could somewhat keep you updated on my decks progress right now I only got to add a second book of the moon however I am writing down the list of cards you suggested in a small red note book. Hopefully I can keep track of the cards this way. I also have decided to build a E. Hero deck and was wanting suggestion after seeing your duel against yugi, Digi, and second opinion. I don't own any yet but I do plan on trying to get Elemental hero nova master or flame wingman.
Better change your name to tirek cause you just destroy his spell books lol
