I've been checking the source thread for years, its amazing how much dedication and effort the Duo and their team did to faithfully translate PSPi2 (which was japanese only). Having finished the first game a long time ago and being illiterate with japanese this means a lot to me (and to many others in the same situation). Respect and kudos!
Thank you so much for this. Phantasy Star Universe was a game that made me meet amazing people, a game that helped me so much at learning English, a game that made me feel comfortable to be myself, when at school I was nothing but a laughing stock. Then, I discovered the portable games, which expanded on the Universe saga, which I dearly loved. I played them, but this game eluded me because I could not speak Japanese. I was disheartened, back then, but I heard the news of the translation being worked on. I waited, and waited, and waited, and eventually forgot about it. Then I get told by somebody in a completely random group that the translation was finished 4 or 5 months ago. And here I am now. In a way, I am both happy and sad, because I'll finally finish what is left of the Universe saga. But I'm sad because.... I'll miss these characters. I'll miss Gurhal, I'll miss Hyuga, I'll miss everyone. It almost feels fitting, finishing a big part of my childhood as I'm finally turning 18. All I want to say is, that I love you, Sonic Team, for developing such a beautiful part of my childhood, and I love you, the translators, for putting such a titanic effort into this for free. It almost feels like a birthday gift, discovering this so early after my birthday. Thank you so much.... I truly appreciate you. I do. Now, I'm gonna go, for one last ride around Gurhal. Are PPT shuttles even around? I mean, the tunnels they went through. I hope so, considering what happpened to the GUARDIANS Colony. Thank you. ーＨＯＷＺＥＲー

It's so weird that I've been waiting for this english patch started around the time when I was still in highschool. Now that the english patch is done, I'm now finished education and have a job. Time does fly by
Man i remember reading about a translation like 7-8 years ago was excited when i read coldbird was taking part on it but idk if it ever materialized. Looking for phantasy star games to play while its maintenance on PSO2 and this pops up on a random google search LOL
Very much looking forward to it, I got into the portable series late, but fell in love with portable 2 for being such a nice blend between PSU Story and gameplay, with PSOs drop system. But I very much loved the improved partner characters compared to the original PSU games (and psp1). However it hurt very much to see that there was no english version for infinity, then learned about this project a couple of years ago. I was very pessimistic at first of it being completed, but im super excited you guys have managed to push forward with amazing work! You all definitely deserve a much needed break once its out. (Hope the patch is easy to do xD)
