Nice video! Thanks. This laptop is a repair mans dream! lol! Reminds me of the Porsche that you have to remove the engine to change the spark plugs.

Due to the difficulty involved getting to the fan, I’m standing by my theory this was strategic and by no accident it was this

Your exactly right. I’ve had this laptop for a long time and the fan recently died for the third time. I’ve replaced it twice already now I have to do it again. It’s the only problem I have with it and it’s the hardest thing to replace.

It was quite suspenseful following the video esp. not knowing if the laptop would work after reassembling.
    But it worked!
    Thanks

Thanks for this video, was a great help. Maybe in future videos you can reverse the video to help people reassemble. One piece of advice id say for those who have to attempt these, probably best to lay out screws on paper with notes as to where each screw goes, i sorta laid mine out in general areas and finished with "extra" screws on my hands than when I started lol

My laptop has started to over heat and it looks like the issue is fan as I don't feel air coming from the left. This laptop is with me for over 10 years now and it's working amazing until recently. I can't replace it on my own as I am not familiar with this so have to take this to repair shop. Not sure the fan could be find easily or not. I will show them this video though.

  • @spizzlo

does this laptop only have one fan? I had a bootup error for the fan, but I could see the cpu fan was working. I figured it was a system fan.
