    Howdy Brock! Wow what a show! I'd love to walk through that just to rubberneck at everything. The only brand you showed that I have any experience with is EGO. For the commercial market, probably not the best option, but for the regular Joe like me, they are fantastic. I have their string trimmer, leaf blower, chainsaw, pole saw, and self propelled walk behind. All of them have met my expectations. I have 3 acres on the farm, plus two other residential properties and they have held up fine. I've had the string trimmer for 6 years and my arms wear out before the battery runs out lol. This was my third season with the walk behind and I have not noticed any loss of battery life. I mow about 1/2 an acre with it weekly. As long as you sharpen the blade annually it makes a great finishing cut. So for their target market, they are cost effective and very good. Commercial - maybe not so much yet. I look at it as that is 5 gas motors I don't have to maintain 😁 Well done and thanks for sharing 🤠

    We have a Kawasaki Mule side by side and it does everything we need. It's not fancy, just a dependable work horse. And It'll climb these steep Ozark hills pulling a log arch with a good size piece of tree in it. I see quite a bit of Wacker equipment on construction sites. I've never seen any sort of consumer versions of it.

    Interestingly, when I checked the TYM website (as of October 27, 2024), the new T3025 25 HP cab model didn't appear. My son-in-law would have gone with TYM, but the closest dealer was just too far away, so he went with the local Kubota dealer and purchased the 25 HP cab model LX2620HSDC. He's very impressed and happy with it as he has 9 acres of lawn to maintain, and so far, it serves him well. He has also used the front-end loader to remove debris and fallen trees from the property. It's surprising how much you can do with a well-equipped 25 HP tractor.

    * Takeuchi / New Holland Skid Loader - Very quiet Smooth controls..
    * Yanmar Tractors, Skid loaders, and compact Excavator have very smooth controls.. You know, it seems like every other manufacturer has Yanmar engine & hydraulic control? Very.
    Impressed
    * John Deere P60 Smooth has controls / Great hydraulic system which I believe it has a Yanmar engine in it .. Very impressed
    * Ferris diesel 6200 nice, & high price ..
    * Bad boy stand on / Exmark Was impressed with the controls.. Very smooth.
    * Kioti & TYM Always has great equipment..
    * Greenwork / Kress Are coming out with some innovative products but kind of expensive..

      This is the first video of his that I have ever watched but for someone who talks a lot of bs about a battery mower, he sure didn't have anything bad to say about the battery tractor that is just a bigger battery mower but that might be because he gets a little bit incentive from yanmar to say only good things about it, so it makes it kinda hard to trust what he says about any brand gas, diesel or battery, but that's just my personal opinion from one video. I might be way wrong but I might not..

      @drufuss1981 my opinion about the mowers and the Tractor’s is the same.
      They might be the future, but they are nothing I would buy today. I think that’s how I said it in the video.

      @RockhillfarmYT to be honest if I was more on the ball and would start my own RUclips channel and post videos of the work and different things I did and I ever got a chance to go to a tool or equipment show I would probably let company spoke person say anything they wanted to because these days unless something goes against your religious beliefs and personal standards, free tools or equipment is free tools or equipment every little bit helps if they scratch my back I'd be honest about there product because I don't want anyone to be cheated or hurt because of false information I gave, but I would talk it up for them to scratch their back in return, ... I myself and my dad and my son have a lawn care company and we have just got a new Kubota excavator and dump truck to try and move into the dirt work type of company and here in eastern Kentucky gas and diesel equipment is not going anywhere anytime soon but I would like to get a chance to try out some of the battery mowers because when I worked in the mines some of the battery equipment had power to spare but some stuff was just plain POS, and since you replied to my comment you earned my subscription to your channel,

    top link on that Yanmar Sm series is pretty common her in europe. We use those type off hooks also on the linkage arms as quick hitch system and it works pretty good. whats the Best point is thet those ball bushings can stay on the implents so you just need to back up to your implemnt raise your 3 points and pusch the top link into place and your good to go. in comparison to your us quick hitches you dont need taht extra frame to use the quickhitch the tractor always carry's it with him. You can also equip your front 3 point with those hooks.

    I disagree that there is no place for an electric mower. They work very well for small suburban yards. I had an Ego self propelled walk behind mower, It worked very well cutting 1/3 acre. Used about 1/2 battery charge on dry grass. It was lightweight, quite, and moved at a good pace. Folded up easily and compactly and was easy to roll around storing upright (no gas to leak). I do agree that an electric ZT would not work well.

Interestingly, sometimes the intended market / sector / industry can shift to another as the technology continues to evolve through new discoveries in purpose, function & and efficiency.

    I agree with you on most things but not use of battery power for homeowner lawns. While at first skeptical, after six years of use, I love my 80V
    Greenworks equipment. It all works at least as well as comparable consumer power equipment. Additionally, I really appreciate never having to deal with finicky carburetors and mixing fuel. Additionally, I don't smell like a gasoline engine when done with a job. I even have a chainsaw and it always impresses the neighbors who have consumer grade saws. The equipment is also very price competitive with quality consumer gasoline equipment if you watch for sales on Amazon. Another point is the 40v equipment is light enough that it allows my father to continue with his yard work much longer than he could have otherwise.

    Do you not think that is what the horse and buggy guy said when Henry Ford showed up with his model T. Do you not think that is what the first plumber said when the PVC guys showed up. Its called evolving and it keeps happening. It doesn't mean it is happening all at once, it doesn't mean it will necessarily be 100% electric, that is just what is trending. Are you old enough to remember what the first Makita stick batteries looked like, i am. I can tell you things have evolved quite a bit since then, and they will continue. Would you rather we still be stringing cords all over the job side and using corded tools, I dont. I'm not one to fall for the scare tactics that a group of people are trying to use.

    The only good thing about the electric stuff is for dummy homeowners who know nothing about engines or taking care of them. Or dummy employees at a facility who use that stuff and break everything gas related. We have a Gator at my job for example. I showed the new kid how to start it using the choke and then shut the choke off after 30 seconds of running or you will foul the spark plug. Well after about 10 minutes of using it the dummy fouled the plug because he didn't listen. Then employees will store gas engine equipment without adding any fuel treatment to the gas tanks and nothing will start after it sits for a while. So my company is switching to everything electric unfortunately at our facility because they are tired of the idiot employees wrecking all the gas engines and having to send them out for repairs. They wrecked 3 weed whacker engines so the company bought an electric one 2yrs ago. So far so good with that. So electric is better for dummies. Gas engines are better for us with brains.

    I have to ask, are you really 100% sure about your current opinion now that about electric powered devices for farms and homesteads are not mainstream in future?
    You said that it cost too much, it will not offer enough power to do the job etc and etc.
    If I could kindly say something about this and my opinion, it would be that in short, I will not agree your opinion for this. Your opinion seems to be like typical "USA people opinion about how stuff use to work and I will not change my mind now and ever" and not "how stuff will work in future and I will not understand this yet today but would like to know more and maybe this is the future mentality".
    The future is 100% electric (would you like or not) for farm and homestead devices of course too but it will not be 100% for all people YET. This technology will evolve and it will take more time.

    • @RockhillfarmYT
      @RockhillfarmYT  29 дней назад +1

      I said in the video, but I think there is a future for electric tractors.
      You can believe that the technology has a future without believing that it is economical or efficient today.
      Last year I bought an expensive electric chainsaw. It is a toy, not a real tool.
      Last year at the same show one of the electric lawnmowers caught on fire when someone was trying to use it. It could be the future, but it’s not the present.
      I also think people are pushing for it based on a false premise that it is somehow better for the environment, as if they didn’t have to do strip mining to get the lithium and burn coal in power plants to get the electricity

    • @iSot80
      @iSot80 29 дней назад

      @@RockhillfarmYT Thanks for your reply for this. Yes, you are correct but like I said, current electric devices for farms and homesteads are not for every use, for every situations or for every need YET, but it will be in future. Before things get better, things get always worse before it will change for better. It is same in technology and someone have to "pay" this that technology can evolve.
      Still electric motor is so much more powerfull and efficient than fuel or diesel engine + electic motor have so much less moving parts.
      Electric devices batteries will evolve too. Currently lithium is the number one but soon there is other options for example sodium batteries and others which will not need any lithium. It is better for enviroment.
      The second thing is tha power in future is not created from coal or oil or nuclear power, it is created from solar and wind. That will take time too but maybe between 2040-2050 it will happen at least (maybe not in USA if your people will vote person which will not understand this enough ;) ).
      Third the reason why I have watch your good videos is that I have look for information for small tractors because I need it for my future "small homestead" and it will be diesel engine for now because it is the best tech on the market.

    Yanmar 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻. I had their small scale hay equipment.
    The baler had a part that broke. I ordered it through Asheville NC about 5 weeks later or more I got a call my part was in? I machined my own with hand tools to get up and running the next day.
    Ridiculous to wait for a part for that long. Buy from a company that can service their customers
