Thanks for the question regarding the Applique paper. The paper content is very small and I find as you handle the appliqué the paper softens, if you rinse your applique after your stitching is complete it does say that it disintegrates, obviously it cant dissolve completely as there is a paper content! I havent washed any of my projects that I have used the Applique paper in and they are soft to touch, you would not know there was a product inside.
Hope this helps to answer your question.
    best wishes
    Lynette

I was wondering also about the paper. I found very expensive the applique tools you used, dear Lynette, so I used tweezers and a paper nail file. It worked!

What happens to the paper... Do you not remove it

Enjoyed this video - it looks like a very simple technique. Thanks Lynette and The Fat Quarter Shop.

When you run the foundation through the printer, do you reverse the image? When you trace. which side do you mark on? What do you use as marking tools? Does the ink bleed through to fabric?

I too was wondering how you would remove the paper inside. Do you snip an opening in the stabilizer and pull it out after you soak it in water?

the paper disintegrates when washed although I find that the paper softens as you handle it and negates the need to wash it.

Love this technique but what about the paper? Since it is glued in I suspect you cannot remove it from the back. Doesn't it leave a crispy texture?
